Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool > > I can't clear it

My problem is the same title.

Well, I delete it, but it is still on my Uninstall list
I erased the with Revo Uninstaller, using the more complicated method
(which deletes the unwanted file that are left)
After this, I check Revo Uninstaller, so I can't erase another program
but I found the windows 7 USB/DVD download tool exist (on my list)
and I restarted and it has not disappeared... :(
So, I installed again and deleted with its own uninstall program.
But same result...

How can I get rid of this?
This is nothing but boring 4 person try 2 grant access to his computer...

  • How to get the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to recognize a file bootsect on my XP 32 bit machine, if I bought Windows 7 64 bit?

Title says it all. I scoured the internet for an answer.

I bought Windows 7 Professional Upgrade with the discount for students. I downloaded the file .iso image 64 bit on my account "Downloads + product keys." I also downloaded Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to make a USB bootable for Windows 7. I ran the utility and everything worked well, but at the end of step 4, I received the message "files copied successfully. However, we were able to run bootsect to make the USB drive bootable. If you need help bootsect... blah blah blah. »

I went looking for answers and I found the troubleshooting for the show here: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool#ms_help_topics_at0
Next to Windows 7, step 3 says "is there an"additional download options"drop-down list."
I had that day, but then this:
    Step 4: "in the drop-down menu, select"32-bit ISO." »
This is not possible, because I bought the 64 bit version of Windows 7. All I see are the 64-bit .iso and .exe.
I tried searching through Microsoft answers and found that many other people had this problem. I tried all of the suggestions for workarounds in this thread. http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_install/problem-using-Win7-usbdvd-download-tool-concerning/37eadf15-85DD-4e56-A89C-fa0a3339b92e
The only solution I have tried was downloading the file bootsect from one source other than Microsoft.
Is it seriously the only way to make it work? To download a BOOTSECT FILE from an UNTRUSTED SOURCE? Come on, Microsoft.

If you purchased Windows 7 since the MS Store:

When you create a bootable USB device, I get an error on bootsect
To make the USB bootable, you must run a tool called bootsect.exe. In some cases, this tool must be downloaded from your Microsoft Store account. This can happen if you try to create a USB bootable 64-bit from 32-bit version of Windows. To download bootsect:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft Store account to view your purchase history
    2. Search for your purchase of Windows 7.
    3. Next to Windows 7, there is a drop-down list "additional download options.
    4. In the drop-down menu, select "32-bit ISO."
    5. Right-click on the link and then save the bootsect.exe file to the location where you installed the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (for example C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool).
    6. Once the file has been saved, return to the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool to create your bootable USB device.

If you didn't buy Windows 7 since the MS Store:

Follow these instructions to work around the bootsect error:

    a. download and install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool program, as described on theMicrosoft Store website.

    b. download a working version of 32-bit bootsect.exe . Here is a link to the 32 bit bootsect.exe:

    bootsect7600x86.zip
    From: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/54443-32-bit-bootsect.html

    c. Once downloaded, copy the BootSect.exe file in the same folder that contains the file ofWindows7-USB-DVD-Download - Tool.exe installed. This file in Windows Vista's default installation directory isC:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool\ (you need to look in XP)

    d. application of the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool as described on theMicrosoft Store website. The end result will give you a boot USB flash drive that contains everything you need to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

I have downloaded the file ISO in Digital River today, only copied the hard drive of my computer.  I installed the MS tool to make a bootable USB key.  When I select the ISO file I have downloaded, I get an error message that is not a valid ISO file.  No idea why?  He came from Digital River, so it should be a good record.

Original title: Microsoft Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool

Digital River download site has been up earlier this week, and I downloaded another copy, so Windows 7 Home Premium - 32-bit.  The name of the ISO file differs from previous downloads of this site, but this time, it worked.

  • ThinkPad X 220 clean install problems (Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool)

    Hi all

My apologies if this has been answered before (I searched through the forums of viable solutions).

I tried to format my hard drive on my laptop Lenovo Thinkpad X 220 and perform a new installation of Windows.

Since my laptop doesn't have any CD player, I went to download a Windows 7 .iso file professional hoping to use it as a

    bootable USB tool.

Extract the file .iso on the USB port, went into the BIOS and choose USB, but in vain.

Decided to download the exe tool Windows 7 USB/DVD with the .iso file I always had, but eventually received this message:

After a bit of searching on Google, apparently there is a bypass to this by changing the file .iso of UDT (However the .iso file I had was already ranked UDT).

If anyone has had experiences with this, I'd love to hear your comments or advice.

    Hi Hiro,

I think I downloaded the two files .iso on this site here which has the same links.

Looks like .iso files are corrupt (I've heard some people sometimes had to re-download).

I looked for alternatives and eventually found one that worked.

    Thanks for the help.

  • How can I reformat laptop which came with the free upgrade to Windows 7. Update download

I have a Hp Pavilion DV4-1430us comes with Windows Vista and had a free upgrade to Windows 7. I have updated successfully in December 2009. Laptop still works fine, but it's certainly time to reformat.  Only problem is that I don't have the disc of Windows 7 because it was a download.  I believe that the recovery partition will have the older operating system.  Can I create a recovery for the OS system disk I use now (windows 7)?  I don't have any except the original e-mail that said that I ordered the upgrade with a non-functional link on the HP Windows 7 Upgrade site.

The Vista HP recovery partition may still exist, but, due to the upgrade of the operating system, it may not work. Options to return the computer to a factory State include the marking of the score of "HP Recovery" active using the Windows disk management console or you are ordering and using a set of HP recovery disks.

Before you recover your computer, please check your email for a provided HP Windows 7 key or use the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to retrieve your current Windows 7 product key. Then download the same version of Windows 7, you have HERE or HERE. Now create your installation media of Windows 7 on a DVD or a USB Flash drive. Please download and use Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool to create the installation media.

How install us Windows 7 which is download from Microsoft Store on XP Pro

Download Windows 7. ISO file from the download page of the store. Then create a bootable DVD of the file .iso (see the last part of my post).

You need to save your documents (word, excel, photos, music, etc.) to a disk external USB or DVD media before starting the installation. As all applications will need to be reinstalled so look for product keys and media.

Once the DVD has been created the you have to start from it and to proceed with an installation "Custom"and clean. "

    I thought about it:

You cannot run the version that is part of the installation media that you try to make your USB with on a PC/AT firmware or EFI.

Bootsect is part of my Windows 8.1 UEFI systems and is part of Windows 7 (Vista maybe) on-site.  So what I did was open prompt as administrator, which brings me in C:\Windows\System32.  Note 'C' may be different and will depend on which drive you have your current Windows operating system.

From there, without changing directories, I typed:

    Bootsect/nt60 f:

(f is the location of my USB key and will be different for most people, just replace your USB drive for this letter)

    Voila, done.
