  It happens because your jpeg is saved in Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGB. Photoshop that will display correctly, but you look at the jpeg format in another application that has no color management and does not include these profiles.

  Always open as ACR sRGB, or convert it to sRGB in Photoshop, if the file should be displayed in applications that are not managing colors (which is most of them).

  YW. Yes, I think an important thing to take away is to realize that it is better to only install the necessary Windows updates 'priority '. There is one exception, apparently.
