Please let me know if you are able to copy the disc of recovery for me and put it to a web page that I can download it from. You can make a password to avoid abuses.

    Hi spurnymartin,

    > removed windows 7 recovery disk
To be honest that s does not erase. Did you delete the folder in HARD drive recovery or what exactly?

Usually, you can reinstall Windows drive HARD or Toshiba recovery disc.

If you n t have it more, you can order the CD from Toshiba. In my opinion you n t pay twice for the same thing because it s not a Toshiba error.

    Buna,

Your problem has nothing to do with Windows. It is the recovery of Dell.

    Ask Dell.

  • Windows 7 installed on my recovery disk - can I remove it?

HI - Windows 7 settled on my recovery disc and left intact the Windows Vista. There is not enough space on the recovery disk to install the updates. So... is it safe to delete all my recovery disc and start? I don't want to do is to find I deleted versions, of course. (I assume that Vista is on my C drive, but how can I be sure?)

    Hello

Assuming that the C:\ drive still has Windows Vista installed. You can start on Windows Vista and format the drive D:\, who has installed Windows 7. Then, you can start a new installation of Windows 7. In this case, if you try to install Windows 7 without formatting the drive D:\, will give you an option to select the operating system you want to start with, because there will be multiple operating systems installed on two discs.

During the installation of Windows 7, make sure that you select the right drive on which you want to install the operating system.

Installation and reinstallation of Windows 7

Let us know if that helps.

  • Windows 7 boot CD system recovery cannot fix the Master Boot Record is damaged or missing?

This question is on the drive that Windows 7 users can make by going to the backup and restore > create a system repair disc, and then burn the disc.

Windows says that this disk can be used to start the computer. However, you will not necessarily be able to boot your Windows 7 operating system from the hard drive. When I had a problem recently (shut down system and on reboot I got a message BACK that says "Boot MGR missing") this disc is not to try to do a repair. In the system recovery Menu, you see here when you start the CD:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery...

I chose "Startup Repair" and he couldn't fix anything. I ended up cloning of my hard disk from a backup.

    Of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/startup-repair-faq#1TC=windows-7

"Are there problems that Startup Repair cannot fix?

Startup Repair can only fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files. He can't fix the failures of hardware, such as a failing hard disk or incompatible memory, nor it protects against virus attacks.

Startup Repair is not designed to fix Windows installation problems, is not a backup tool, so it cannot help you recover personal files, such as photos or documents. To help protect your computer, back up your system and your files regularly. For more information, search for "backup" in Windows Help and Support. »

So here's my question: how to create a bootable CD that has everything you need to fix the Master Boot Record, whereas in case your startup files are damaged, altered, or deleted (and of course, you can not start your system from the hard drive) it will be either fix the files on the hard disk or at least still start your operating system on your hard drive?

To answer my own question (which becomes a habit on this forum): http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/20864-mbr-restore-windows-7-master-boot-record.html

It turns out that the repair CD Windows 7 Sytem that I had done was the right tool for the job but I didn't know how to use it. The above link explains how to use the command prompt window to repair the boot record.

Other advice, I had was to have used the "Startup Repair" option in the Tools menu of recovery after launching the repair CD, but then he runs three times. For some reason, it takes three times to run before it can solve the problem. I think that the command prompt window method is probably more reliable.

  • Need to re - install Windows, but I have no recovery partition or the Windows DVD

    Dear reader,

Recently, Windows got broken on my Toshiba Satellite L650-170.
I tried to use my backup, but backup refused my backups.

After some research, the disc seems to be in good health, but all the partitions on the drive seem to be damaged in some way.

So, I'm without a Windows disk or the recovery Partition.

How can I get Windows on my laptop using the windows key attached to it?
(A friend told me that the use of another work of won´t of windows disk 7)

    Kind regards

    Peter

    Hi Peter

If you don t have access to the original recovery partition, the question is: what do you have installed on your laptop?

If you want to have the factory settings once again, you must install OS using the original Toshiba recovery disc. You can order it on http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you want to have clean OS install, you can use the original disc of Microsoft with the valid license code. Product key at the bottom of your laptop cannot be used for activation.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Windows XP-need help Urgent recovery

I'm new to Toshiba. I HAV a hard drive 60 GB partition and windows XP home installed. I want to partition the hard drive now. Now after formatting the hard drive that I lose Windows XP it completely or there at - it of the chance to recover and reinstall it. Need urgent help.

    Hello

You can reinstall your laptop using the recovery CD. It is easier and more rapid way to reinstall the operating system, all drivers and tools. Put the recovery in DVD-ROM CD, start the laptop and press the C button. At first, there is the choice between two types of installation (Standard mode and expert mode).

If you choose first a whole HARD drive will be formatted and used for installing the OS. With the second (expert mode), it is possible to install the OS on the first partition. It is also possible to define what the partition size should be.

Try it. It's very simple to do.

    Good luck

I upgraded my Windows 10 laptop and have done since a recovery using the Recovery Media Creator Toshiba USB drive; My question is it will take up to 10 Windows or the original Windows 8.1?

Are also all the drivers and the software recovered?

Thanks for your patience - I am fairly new to this!

  • Update Windows 10 and HP System Recovery

    Hey,.

I plan on moving from Win 7 to 10 to win, but the only thing stopping me is, what happens if I use the HP System Recovery after doing? Considering that it is pre-installed for Win 7 on my system, it will return it Win 7 or what?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Yes, if you are using HP System Recovery, it would reinstall Windows 7, but it is important to note that the ability to do it from the hard disk recovery Partition does not work after upgrade to Windows 10.  You must use your recovery media - if you have not created this, a guide can be found here.

Another option that you might consider, if you must reinstall Windows 10 once you have upgraded is the following.

Also long Windows 10A active Ok after upgrading to 7, in the future, you can just perform a new installation of 10 as stated in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select 'I don't have a product key' - 10 Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • Satellite P100: No CD Windows Vista but only the recovery CD

Hi, I recently bought a toshiba satellite P100, but it does not seem to have fitted with a disc of Windows Vista, only the preinstalled Vista.

The laptop works fine for now, but I'm a little worried that if something is wrong in the future, I will have no way to reinstall the OS.

The laptop came with a recovery disk, and I don't know if Vista is included on this?

If it isn't in any way I can make a copy of vista installed on my HARD drive?

    Thank you

    Hello

Don t worry, you don t need to make a copy of your HARD disk, since you already have a vista on your recovery media.

If you have problems with your system and you want to re - install, then backup all your data on an external, put the recovery in your CD/DVD drive, boot from it and then just 'recover' or 'reinstall' your system. The recovery process works automatically and you will have an installation "factory-like" after recovering from your machine.

Hope, I could explain it... ;)

  • Satellite L755 - how to return to Windows 7 using the HDD Recovery folder

    I own a toshiba Satellite L755.
I have recently upgraded to windows 7 to windows 8, and now I do not have windows 8. I want to go back to windows 7.

Many people say that it is possible using the HDD Recovery folder that I have on my D drive and it s 13.5 GB.

What I need is to know if its possible and if you can you explain to me how its done.

I searched the Web for an answer for tha last 4 hours and I thank you

    > Many people say that it is possible using the HDD Recovery folder that I have on my D drive and it s 13.5 GB

A lot of people said you can use HARD drive recovery in order to put the system back to factory settings.
This true s but this is possible ONLY if the system has not been modified.

In case you have changed the system, you could go back to the factory settings using the recovery disk!
Recovery disk may be created using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

Have you created this disc in the past!
