Windows 8.1 driver does not install

Can someone help. My Office Jet F4500 failed after a period of operation with windos 8.1. I uninstalled and then tried to reinstall the appropriate drivers for 64-bit windows. When you try to install, I get

"The system cannot find the specified file", when I type 'Retry' she just bounces the same dialog box.

This leads me into the corners.

The printer works fine when I plug it into my laptop via the USB port but have completely lost the center of solution and therefore will not work wireless.

Help please...

Looking for HP for the pilot because it is better to get these live drivers from the manufacturer. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services

No, these aren't the droids, uh, I mean the drivers he was looking for.

In fact, it's better to get the new drivers from the HP website, you will notice the link you provided that the options only are available for this printer under Windows 7 drivers universal. I regularly have problems with universal drivers and strongly recommend to avoid as much as possible.

I agree with the question of the original poster, which, after more than two years, remains unanswered by Microsoft. It seems that MS has a driver PCL 5 (not universal) updated specific 3015, but it fails to install the Windows Update control panel. I finally gave up on it, right click on the update and selected the option to hide it from view.

Why bother with a solution when I use the button "Sweep-It-under-the-carpet" practice of Microsoft?

  • Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor does not install

Hi I posted this on the Vista forum. I got 1 response suggesting I have try to download it again, as I did with the same result. The 2nd answer said not to post this question on the forum of Vista. If she is here now on this forum.

I downloaded the UpgradeAdvisor a Windows 7 at the same time a running Windows Vista my PC Edition Home Premium and the other Windows XP. It will not install on each PC. I double click on the downloaded file and am asked in Vista to continue, I click "Yes" and then nothing happens. There is no sign of any program running or running any process that did not work until I tried to install the Advisor. Please can someone help. (I tried to disable the system security McAfee but that did not help).

Well thank you for the suggestion of Steve of Microsoft Developer Network. I tried to download another copy to another location. Unfortunately exactly the same result. Yesterday I download about 5 times in different places, none worked, but I thought I'd try again today - same result. Am I the only person having this problem?

I followed the advice on another thread closely linked to it. Someone (non-Microsoft) advised using a program called "Winrar" to unzip the file to the millisecond. You can download free Winrar (shareware). I tried and it works very well. It unpacks the MS then called "self-extracting" file downloaded from MS site above and shows you the content. I selected the provedure of installation for the Upgrade Advisor for 32 bits, and low and you installed the Upgrade Advisor on my machine.

I ran with success of the counselor and am at a complete loss to understand why Microsoft technicians could not have told me in this simple direction rather than give me useless and very lengthy procedures which did not work.

The adviser tells me that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or WIndows 7 MegaSuperCostULoads (or whatever its name). I'm not sure I want now, or if I trust Microsoft more. Maybe I'll switch to Ubuntu.

  • Upgrade to Windows 10 new disk when the Windows 7 hard drive does not

I have a desktop HP with Windows 7 Pro and since last week, it will fail to start.   It seems that it is approaching, but everything does not end.    I would just buy a new SSD and upgrade to Windows 10.      I don't have Windows 7 installation floppies, but the license key is on the case of the office.      What are my options?   Hopefully I won't need to buy Windows because my hard drive has failed.

    Hello

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your interest for Windows 10.

The license key of the operating system is integrated into the motherboard. To enable Windows 10 without facing any errors, you must activate the previous version of Windows with a valid license key, and then proceed to the upgrade.

If you replace the SSD HARD drive, you must activate the previous Windows, i.e. Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 version, if it is a true copy as well as the activation key and then upgrade to Windows 10.

Since you do not have an installation disc, I suggest to create one by downloading the ISO image of Windows 7 on a CD or USB key and check if you are able to download the operating system.

  • After the update of Windows CD/DVD drive does not work

After windows automatically updated on my windows system 8, my CD/DVD drive no longer recognized discs. It will rotate when you close the disc drive as if he tried to recognize and initialize the disc, but then it will do nothing. When you go in my computer it doesn't even say that there is a hard drive available.

In device manager has a yellow triangle with a '!' in the middle on the DVD/CD drive. When I click on drive properties and check the updates on the disk, it indicates that the drivers are up to date. Drive is MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ8C0.
Y at - it a fix for this problem? For some reason my system does not restore automatically save it before the update or the other so I can not on a point system. Help, please.

Try to remove the GEARAspiWDM entry.

To remove the GEARAspiWDM entry double-click UpperFilters and, under value data, delete GEARAspiWDM > OK

Create a system restore point beforehand and restart the computer after.

However, if you have an application that uses the GEARAspiWDM, like iTunes, just install the latest version of hardware drivers (4.020.5) and that no changes to the registry:

Updated speed drivers should also correct the mistake.

  • Satellite P10 824: modem driver does not install

I have a tosiba Satellite P10 824 and the modem driver not install what can I do? This page driver is installed but the modem does not work.

    Hi Cienciala

If the reader is already installed and the modem is correctly listed in the Device Manager, do not try to install it again and again. I advise to enter the properties of the modem in the device and on the diagnosis tab Manager list, you can use Query modem and verify the results.

If the modem does not work it may also be the configuration dial problem.

  • Updated HP Slimline s5-1020 driver does not install.

I have a HP Slimline s5-1020 with Windows 7 (64-bit).  I installed an HP site update file; saved, run, followed the instructions, and then at the end it says "update failed (259)" I tried clearing cache and disable the firewall, then original delete downloaded file and redownloading.  Same error message... I have a game that I bought and downloaded that is locked.  Troubleshooting on gambling site says download the new drivers; This is a first, I've tried.  Windows says I don't need updated for audio or video drivers.  But when I tried HP I found that an update has so above.

    Why it is not working?

Here is a direct link to the most current download for Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7 64 bit. Try this driver because it is straight from Intel, although she seems to be the same as that of HP.

Try to download the most recent driver for the codec Realtek HD Audio HERE. (tick 'accept', click 'next' and select the item 2 to the bottom of the list)

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra M5 came with the graphics card Intel or nVidia.

On laptops with nVidia graphics card, you can set a different option in nVidia Desktop Manager. for example allow several computers to office
You should find it in the control panel.

Unfortunately, I put t know exactly where the parameters are placed in the nVidia Manager because this notebook was shipped only with Windows XP but I'm sure that you will find.

    Good bye

  • Optiarc DVD RW AD7710H driver does not install

    Separated from this thread.

I have exactly the same problem with my Optiarc DVD AD-7710 on Sony laptop and I also uninstall and sought changes to the equipment and the updated driver to update, but unfortunately the problem was not solved at all. The problem started recently without doing anything. Seems that some update in the operating system or the driver caused this problem to be happen. Material to DVD does not have no problem because I can boot my laptop with kaspersky rescue CD and then I see the content of the CD but when windows 7 is driver problem happen.

Please help me if any body has resolved the problem.

I did what you said above (all points) but the problem was not solved, fortunately the problem was solved by downloading Microsoft DVD fix tool "MicrosoftFixit.dvd.MATSKB.Run.exe" and run it.

Please say the same for others who has the same problem.

  • Windows 7 64 bit does not install

the 64 GB will not install

What is the error message when you try to install?

Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:

Your Windows installation disc is scratched, smudged, or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it. For more information, go to how to replace lost, broken, or missing Microsoft software or hardware on the Microsoft Web site.

Your CD-ROM or DVD drive is not working properly or the disk might be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.

If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, your computer may attempt to locate files on the wrong drive. If your computer has a feature to disable CD or DVD drives that are not used, turn off readers that you don't use. Otherwise, try to insert the disc in a different drive, and then restart the installation.

This is usually caused by hardware or software that is not compatible with Windows 7. If you have this problem, follow these steps:

Wait about 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current. If your hard disk doesn't seem to work, go to step 2.

Uninstall all antivirus software, and then restart your computer. Don't forget to enable antivirus software after you install Windows.

If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

If the computer still stops responding during Setup, contact your manufacturer computer or your retailer.

  • FSX can run fine on Windows 8, but now does not - install crashes with 1722

    To the right,.

I have a HUGE problem with reinstalling Flight Sim X on Windows 8.  When I installed it first, it ran fine, until one day he crashed it so bad that it would not even close or uninstall properly - I had update my system just to remove it.  Now, I am trying to reinstall it, but it won't reinstall - the installation program runs in a first time, but when it comes to registration of fonts, it crashes with a 1722 followed of a 1603.  I already tried to use licensing reset tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928080, but it does not work either!  What should I do?  Thanks in advance!

Just to be sure: you confirm that you have opened the CMD console in administrator mode to run the resetsldl command?

  • software for the printer driver does not install

My printer is C7100 all-in-one.  My OS is windows 7 - message comes back "could not install any software.

I recommend traverse "Programs and features" in your control panel and manual uninstall of the printer, then shut down and restart your computer. If the files do not uninstall, then you can have a deeper problem with your operating system.

Once the software is missing, try again after the above link and by installing the full setting software.
