Windows 8.1 No HDMI Audio output

I connect the HDMI from my laptop to the TV and before the 8.1 update, it worked fine.  Now I have video but no sound.

Device Manager shows two things under "Sound, video and game controllers".

1. high definition Audio Devide (with yellow triangle)

2 IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

When I see the properties of first it is said

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE ".

My computer product number: C8P48AV

Kindly help me.

Thank you

Anand.

Hi Anan_B.

You can download the graphics drivers from the Intel Web site. Here's the link, click here. Also, you should be able to update the drivers from Device Manager. Here is a link to a document from Microsoft to do. click here. The document is for Windows 7, but the process is the same. "I'll also send a Microsoft document ' updating a hardware driver that is not working properly"click here.

  • No the D3100 HDMI audio output

I'm trying to connect my TV to JMB in my Dell Inspiron 7559 via the D3100 docking station. I have a picture but no sound. There is no HDMI option in the audio device Manager Windows 10. When I connect the TV directly into the laptop I have no problem with the audio.

    Hi Robert,.

For your info, I had the problem solved on the DisplayLink Forum: -.

"The D3100 Dell delivers the sound to multiple output at the same time, unlike the dedicated graphics card audio adapter, it will not take the name of your amplifier as it can not take several names." It would be a little overwhelming to get 5 new audio devices (2 HDMI, 1 DP, 2-shot) just to the dock in any case...

If you get no sound on Sony receiver, can you try to remove the plug to see if this helps it?
I don't know how to put Dell up audio on their dock.

It worked for me.  I removed the plug back and hey presto sound has been rerouted to HDMI!

    See you soon.

  • HP pavilion p6630f supports output via connector dvi - d to dvi - d to hdmi audio adapter?

HP pavilion p6630f supports output via connector dvi - d to dvi - d to hdmi audio adapter?

    Hello

The DVI does not support audio.  You must use a separate with the DVI cable audio cable. There are DVI cables that do not have an extra audio cable in the same sheath, but they are usually not sold in most retail stores.

There are rumors on the net that ATI could have a special cable where some unused DVI pins were used to route the audio but that could also mean using an ATI video card. It would be a very strange configuration and not one I would recommend.

  • No Audio output device is installed (Windows 10 64 bit, HP Pavilion 500 series)

    Model number: 500-007 a

    Operating system: 10 64-bit Windows

Description of the problem: no sound.

    Hello

I came from TenForums forum, hoping to find a solution to the problem of noise from my office.

Status of the solution of the problem is at: http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/45369-no-audio-output-device-installed.html

When I move my cursor on the audio icon on the corner at the bottom right of the screen, the message of the index says "no Audio output device is installed". By clicking on the audio icon so that windows are trying to solve the problem will not solve the problem.

In Device Manager, I have 2 "High definition audio controller" that display a yellow "!" mark on them. Both controllers are on the devices tab of system.

As you can see in the picture above, there is no tab "audio, video controller and game."

How can I get my sound back?

    Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

What worries me is that your device manager does not have the IDT HD audio listed under sound video and game controllers Device Manager.

Normally, when you install W10, the IDT HD audio device is in the list, and it just doesn't work.

You can try reinstalling W10 and see what happens.

  • HDMI Audio and Windows 7

I'm trying to connect my Pavilion dv6 on my HDTV with a HDMI cable. I make the video, but no audio on the TV speakers. The problem started after I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I had no problem with HDMI with windows Vista.

I tried to date/reinstall the audio drivers from the HP website, but it does not work. I also tried to go into the control panel and change the playback device, but the HDMI audio device icon no longer appears in the playback devices dialog box. Read-only devices are speakers and headphones double independent double headphones and SPDIF (Digital Out Via HP dock.)

How can I solve this problem? Why the HDMI device is not displayed in the reading dialog box?

Hi all HDMI his problem solved after I installed the new windows 7, icon hdmi on the menu of display devices have disappeared.  Here's what I did and the icon go back and redo the sound work of hdmi. Graphics cards intel must be updated. The link below will take you to the site intel and it detects the updates required for your system. http://www.Intel.com/support/detect.htm run the program and install the required updates and then restart windows. HDMI icon will be back and the sound will work normal as before.  I hope it will solve the problem of everyone with the hdmi sound problem.
