Windows 8 HP LJ2030 Driver installation problem

I have a HP Laserjet P2035 printer and a brand new Windows 8 computer.  The printer was purchased several years ago and has been used with a Windows XP box. When I joined the printer to the new computer via a port USB<->USB cable, it was not recognized. Manually, I downloaded the driver on the HP website and tried to install it several times without success. I finally found the log associated with the installation procedure.  The following are entered during my last attempt to install the driver by clicking on the app "ljP2035-gdi-pnp-win64 - in .exe:

The log entry indicates the driver already installed but the Windows Device Manager seems not to think (see attached image). By clicking on 'Properties', then on 'Events', I saw the following message (see second image). I have no idea what this error code means. Can anyone provide some ideas of what I can do next? I hate the idea of making a new printer, if there is a software solution. The printer still works fine.  For what it's worth, through the Windows Device Manager, I uninstalled the printer and driver once already in order to get a clean installation of the driver.

Thanks for any help,

Zeke

Fixed. "Follow-up"clean boot"as described here: 'http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 ' Windows recognize it now and I can use my printer.".

  • Creating a program the evolutionary IVI driver installation problems

I have problems when you try to create an upgrade for an IVI driver installation.
I created the installer by using the creative installer included with LabWindows/CVI 2010 IVI. In my case, I have two versions of the IVI driver DLL and configuration (1.0 and 1.1).
1.1 - the installation program was created using the option "install existing rebuild" of the creator of the installer.

    My problem is the following:

    • If the driver of the IVI is not installed the 1.1 - installation is completed without error.
    • However, if the 1.0 driver is present, the 1.1 installer gives me the error message following just at the beginning of the installation:
"Setup has detected a third party IVI driver in the directory C:\Program Files (x 86) \IVI Foundation\IVI\Bin. Please uninstall the existing driver before proceeding with this installation. »

I noticed the things so far:

    • The UpgradeCode MSI remains the same for both configurations (as expected). This seems to indicate that the installation program supports upgrades.
    • The installer contains a DLL (NiIviDriverDetection.dll) used in a CustomAction to the 3rd party.
What this DLL seems to do, is to perform a control version of the currently installed driver IVI DLL (1.0 in my case).
According to the results of this audit, the installation process is abandoned.

If everyone has noticed this behavior or anyone has any suggestions on how to create an IVI driver installer which can be upgraded without uninstalling the old version first?
Maybe I put just an evil version information field, but I do not know that which (if any)...

    Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I seem to have found a solution:

The problem is that the MSI CustomAction, seeking a third drivers IVI (DetectAction.C1C4DD2F_AD86_44E6_BA47_FC41E5C0DAAF) is performed before the FindRelatedProducts Action.

So the DetectAction is not ignored if an older version of the IVI driver is located (looking at the MSI tables clearly was NEITHER).

Move the sequence numbers of the 103 to 107 behind the FindRelatedProducts Action InstallExecuteSequence shares both InstallUISequence tables (for example starting at 370) will make it possible to do an upgrade of an IVI driver installation.

This can be accomplished using the Orca tool included in the Windows SDK.

    You mean you have a ( HP Deskjet 959 c printer<-- web="" page="" link,="" click="" on="" it)="" manufactured="" and="" supported="" by="">

The problem is that HP stopped supporting this particular Windows XP device - in fact, in view of the date that the latest driver Windows XP is out (December 3, 2001), they have barely supported it under Windows XP.

I'd say you're probably out of luck (time for a newer printer?) if their method to operate on Windows 7 64-bit on this web page is not printing of certain abilities. Basically, you plug it in, let it start to install the driver, choose to download from Windows Update for drivers more, choose the closest to you and go with it.

  • Driver installation problem Windows XP Home on Satellite L450D-11 t

I bought a laptop SATELLITE L450D-11 t with windows 7 and I want to use a USB stick for internet, but it requires a previous version of the operating system.
So I installed windows xp, but on this site, it is not all drivers (motherboard, video, audio, network) compatible.

Analysis of the situation, I found the driver for audio on the Realtek site but on the mother/video card driver, I have a few problems:
the AMD 780 G chipset and the display hardware is an ATi Radeon HD 3200. On the AMD website, I found a package with all the necessary drivers, but during the installation of the system restarted itself each time I start the installation. I opened the event viewer to see if there is an error, but nothing.
I restarted the pc mode provvisional: he can't complete the installation, but it gives an error "Unable to open driver for tracking" or something like that.

Is there something wrong? I forgot to do something?
    Thank you

    Hello

Why you n t take an another USB compatible with Windows 7? In my opinion, it would be easier to reinstall the whole laptop but ok, it s your decision ;)

As far as I know the drivers on page AMD intended for office use only, so I think that they will not work on mobile chips. But maybe the only corrupt the downloaded driver files, then try to download again.

As I've already said, I would choose another USB key. This laptop is designed for the new Windows 7 and everything should work properly on the new operating system.

  • Windows vista USB flash drive installation AND recover the WINDOWS KEY from the recovery disk

    Hi all

I formatted my laptop some time ago. Now I want to reinstall windows vista (came along with my laptop). The thing is due to a problem that my CD drive does not work so I would like to install windows vista by using a USB key. Can you get it someone please let me know if this is possible... If Yes, how I've go ahead make a bootable USB.

As someone can tell me if there is a way to retrieve the WINDOWS KEY from the recovery disc.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This can help, but you will need a Vista system to create the working bootable USB key:http://www.askvg.com/how-to-create-bootable-usb-drive-to-install-windows-vista/

As for the product key, it should be on a sticker on the laptop (usually on the bottom). If it is not readable, contact the manufacturer for further assistance. As we said already, the product key is not on the installation disc.

Replace broken laptop optical drives is not too difficult, you can see this as another option.

  • Optimus driver installation problem

    Hello

    I have a T410s with NVS3100, running Win7 (64). I tried several ways to install the driver:

    -Lenovo Auto Updater

    -Manually run the update download

    -Download directly from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-76280

-Right click in the Device Manager, select Update driver, manually choose one of the extracted downloaded drivers

except for the last one, the installation process works fine, but after the required reboot, the nVidia does not appear be installed to the right. In Device Manager I see graphics card Intel HD and a standard VGA card. It has an error code 10 (could not be started), choosing to update the drivers automatically returns the standard VGA driver is up-to-date.

What is the normal procedure how (re) install the drivers for all of Optimus (Intel + nVidia)?

    Optimus.

I was able to solve the problem by using the data in cdrivebackup.wim who came on the recovery partition. I copied the content related to Nvidia in the Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ folder and then installed the drivers again.

  • HARD drive installation problems

I have an old Dimension 4600 that recently failed to initialize.  (BSOD appears just after the start screen)  The IDE Diagnostics from Dell (result: failure) indicated that the drive was dead, which was not unexpected - it was the hard original supplied with the system that I've had for 3 years, and I had also been do the BSOD in too many occasions in recent weeks.  The failed drive was the boot drive (master) - the system also has a second IDE HDD (slave) who did pass the diagnostic test.

I installed a new hard drive and proceeded with the installation of Windows XP.  Installation stops during formatting, with an error message indicating that the installation could not continue and that the HARD drive may be bad.  I have run the Dell Diagnostic and failure of the drive.

I then pasted the new drive in an other Dimension 4600 (also XP) as the slave drive and it meets the diagnostic test.

Can anyone shed light on what may be the problem with system #1?

    Best regards

To my knowledge, the Satellite C660-M21G belongs to the series of PSC1SE.
I m wondering where did you get the right driver for this series display
The laptop seems to bear the NVIDIA GeForce 315 M card

I checked the page European Toshiba and not all driver Win 7 32 bit drivers are available on the European driver page I think you tried to install the wrong graphics driver or is not compatible and that's why this error message during the installation of the drivers.

But it seems that Win 7 64-bit driver is available for this series, that's why I recommend you to test the driver for Win 7 64 bit.
In this case, you need to install the Realtek card reader controller driver SM bus controller can be the card reader There is also a version of driver Win 7 64 bit on the European driver page

It is a known problem with the drivers Y480 and Y580...

Rather than extract the drivers to a folder named C:\Drivers\LAN for example... it would extract them to C:\Drivers only

so the next time you install another pilot, because there is already a setup.exe from the folder of the previous driver... installation it asks you to crush...

the way to solve this problem is...

    -Install the driver you want...

-When the installation is complete, open my computer, then go to C:

    -Delete the folder named Drivers

    -Install the following driver

-Repeat the first step for the next driver and so on

damn drivers Lenovo does not happen with drivers only Y480 and Y580 Y570

  • driver installation problem 9171 with LV 8.5.1 and NIDAQ9.3

    Hello
I just bought a NI9171 with a NI9477 DO Board chassis after checking the compatibility (driver, version LV). Everything seems to be ok, but I can't seem to get the right driver installed in NIDAQ 9.3. I tried with NIDAQ 9.4. Here, the driver has been installed correctly and I have done some tests in MAX, but my DAQmx LabVIEW library has been completely eliminated during the installation of 9.4... Re-intsllation of NIDAQ9.3 brought down the DAQmx library, but the driver no longer works. A thought is to copy the library addition and reinstall 9.4... but when it worked, it is not the right way to solve the problem. Could someone tell me if there is a problem with the Readme of 9.3 or suggest a solution to this problem? Unfortunately I have no shared services provider more and can not get direct support by OR ;-(
Here you can find the Readme file:
    http://download.NI.com/support/softlib//multifunction_daq/nidaqmx/9.3.0/Readme.html#OS

    Thank you for any suspicion!
    Olli

    Hi Olli,

Sorry for the inconvenience, but DAQmx 9.3 does not support 9171. There is mistake in our documentation. First, it was submitted to 9.4. However I have a solution for you. It is to install DAQmx components 9.4/9.5's to kernel with support for LabVIEW 9.3 DAQmx:

    (1) uninstall all versions of DAQmx

    (2) install DAQmx full 9.3 and restart

    (3) run the installer DAQmx 9.4/9.5

    a. Select custom, then click Next

    b. "Application Development Support", select "do not install this feature.

    c. click on through the next few menus until you reach "Start Installation". Make sure that Application Development Support is NOT under the upgrade section

    d. continue installation as usual and reboot.

    (5) the DAQmx palette should be in LabVIEW 8.5.1

Please let me know if you have any question. Again, I apologize for the error.

  • Windows Vista Service Pack 2 installation problem

I am having major problems installing service pack 2 on windows Vista on a Dell Inspiron from 32-bit. It returns the 8007000D error code.

I tried the PC back to factory settings, removing the anti-virus and the deactivation of some things non-nessasary start up with msconfig. Also, I have disabled all the wireless devices using a switch on the side of the laptop - it seems that would enable me to install service pack 1.

Even with all the foregoing it always fails and recommends the system "Update system tool" update running. I have run, restart the computer and run the SP2 and it does not always work with the same error message.

The only other methods recommended to install must remove antiviris and other programs that I've done so I don't know what to do!

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Matthew

    Robear,

    Thanks for your reply.

I looked at the link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366) and went through all the troubleshooting guide without success. With my current attempts to install SP2 (after the return to factory settings), I remove McAfee from the computer (that came with it as default) and then install the service pack SP1 and SP2 by using the stand-alone installation programs by downloading from another computer.

Thank you for give me the Microsoft technical support link, that I had read on another thread that the free support is exhausted.

I will try to sue microsoft and come back here if I have any luck!

    Thank you

    Matthew
