  • Question about Windows Media Center and activation

I have a desktop computer with the Windows 8 operating system I received via the Dreamspark program.

After the operating system installation, I also used the product key free, that I had to install the Pack in Media Center.

A month later, after the upgrade to Windows 8.1, navigation through settings window, I can see that the windows are not enabled.

I tried to re - enter the product key Media Center Pack, which was not accepted this time because the computer reports that this key is used on a different computer, which is not true.

I don't see classic popups on the activation of windows and there is "no x days left to activate" notification but the watermark report the number of build on the corner of my screen is visible.

How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

    Try the phone activation:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

  • Windows XP registered and activated properly, but said that I need to activate after reboot

    Hello

I just installed Windows XP on my computer and registret and what he does normally active. Then I installed the first update from the Download Center and restarted normally. When I searched for the next major update she said I have to vertify my windows XP again. I followed the link he provides and gets an open white window and nothing happens (it had spend half an hour).

Just found out through the update automatically I can always get updates. Everything would be easier here at the beginning with the Download Center.

  • Windows 7 purchased, not activated/validated in the allotted time... help?

Hello! I need to know if there is a way to activate a copy of Windows 7 Professional of after-market facility. My boyfriend bought a laptop about 8 months ago at a friend. His friend has installed a new operating system before selling. Boyfriend is not very gifted in computer science and has not activated within 30 days of activation-registration/product key, because he never uses the laptop. He has paid the initial Windows 7 Professional OS (about $70, as he recollects), but we can talk to the friend, he bought the laptop from the (contracting companies in the Australian Outback), incommunicado. I am now unable to activate/register the Windows 7 operating system and wonder if it is possible to get the OS enabled without having to buy a new OS. I recently bought and installed 2 licenses for Windows OS 8.1 to 2 separate notebooks for me and my son and I would hope to avoid adding another bill of $120 for a new OS installation. • The computer (without Windows reinstallation) upgrade and activation

    Heya,

I'm going to upgrade my computer: new mother/CPU/RAM card and I wonder if there will be problems with my Adobe programs. I have the CS4 Master Collection and installed Lightroom 3.

I have to turn off and then turn them on again once the upgrade is done? There will be no reinstallation of the software (I hope): same disc and even installation of Windows 7 (which I guess, going to be reactivated too, but that's another issue).

    DRM for any useful contribution.

Yes please deactivate before joining the new mother/CPU/RAM card combo.  If you encounter activation problems after you have transferred, please contact our support team.

I have three computers at home. And I have them updated to windows 7. But after I installed the new windows, windows activation has popped up

You bought a copy of Windows 7 for each computer?

You can install a Windows 7 purchase on several computers if you have the Family Pack. When you have the 'Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack' for 3 computers, it is a retail copy and you can install Windows 7 on three computers at once. He'll say 'Family Pack' on it.

When you have the regular commercial version, it can be moved to another computer, but it can be installed on a single computer at a time.

If you have a legal copy for each computer, try to activate again. If activation fails, see the Microsoft Diagnostics real link below.

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

If you have trouble activating Windows 7 you can call Microsoft to activate it by following these steps:

    1. start by clicking on the start menu, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.

4 Select the telephone activation option, enter the number, do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

If you are still unable to activate:

    (1) download and run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool:

    (2) then copy and paste your results for inspection.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p199: need help with the installation and activation of 10 Windows after completely uninstalling Windows

    Hello HP assistants.

I need help for a specific problem. My laptop came with an installation of Windows 8.1. Then I upgraded to 10 Windows when it became available. After a while, I decided to uninstall Windows completely (to wipe the hard drive) and install a Linux operating system.

Now, I decided that I want to use some software that is not available on Linux and if I want to reinstall Windows 10. My problem is that Windows has completely disappeared in a form any. So now, I need to download Windows 10 from an official source (which I think can be done fairly easily from the official source of Microsoft, although if there is a better, HP official medium to do this then please recommend it) and then I need to activate Windows some how.

As has been made clear, I have the right to use Windows 8.1 and 10 but I would need to download Windows 10 and turn it on. Is there a way to do this? I'm literally stuck without solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after upgrade from 8.1, you can simply perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • List of open and active/Windows Forms displayed within Windows XP 7 v/s windows on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the status bar

    Salvation OR,.

We found that the list of forms/open windows displayed in Windows XP (on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the windows taskbar) seems to indicate all open and active windows/forms in the application.

We would like to know how to enable the same functionality in a Windows 7 environment. The best we can do now is to double click on the name of the application on the windows taskbar to switch between active windows/Forms in the application. We would like a menu similar to the windows XP appearance about running on Windows 7 when it comes to this particular feature.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Ashish

The taskbard has changed significantly in Windows Vista and 7. You can get a similar functionality to what you call by customizing the taskbar in the taskbar properties. In addition, now press SHIFT key while right-clicking to display a menu similar to what you show in your screenshot, except that it does not display the name of the element. In Windows 7, the feature make you is typically done by hovering over the icon in the bar tasks and selecting one of the points of view which appears above the element.

You can use the Windows shellapi to do a limited customization of the task bar, but this API is very difficult to use and I would not recommend this approach.

CVI provides a method to change the name of the item in the taskbar (see this KB), but it does not add the name after the restoration in the context menu.

  • Pavilion Notebook 15-ab010nr: chaotic random scrolling and active window change - baffled!

All was well with my Pavilion laptop until one day he began to suffer from a strange video behavior.  While in an active window, suddenly the screen would be automatically scroll upwards or downwards, or in part.  I would scroll to where I was, but then it would scroll away again without my touch.  With a window with no scroll, he would sometimes just change the active window.  So I could be typing and then all of a sudden I'm on another window.  At some point I just watched in disbelief as demonstrated by the receipt of a screenshot screen, then a selection of menu of Outlook and a new email has been selected.  I waited to be typed in the destination address, thinking that someone had control of my laptop, but it stopped there... nothing else was done (thankfully).

I thought I was suffering from a particular virus, so I searched online to see if everyone was suffering similar symptoms. Nothing.  My antivirus program had not taken anything (Avast!). I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran it... Nothing found.  I applied a bunch of Windows system updates and rebooted... problem still not fixed.

Then I've reconsidered and suspect somehow my computer has been compromised and a hacker was "playing" with my computer remotely (though the behavior seemed a little too random).  I have disabled Internet access and it still preserved.  I had a mouse external USB installed, so I unplugged which just in case where--no difference.  I thought that perhaps the touchpad was of certain films or light debris on the surface, so I cleaned it... no change.

I had never experienced this before.  And I couldn't find any recent references to anyone else knows this.  My computer to develop a particular hardware defect?  Still under warranty, but I didn't want to go through this hassle.

"If you keep an open mind, life will give you more opportunities."

I hope that I speak not too fast, but I can have solved the problem.

I went into the settings advanced for mouse control properties and made a few changes:

    (1) click order/settings (the Panel--> mouse), then to finger several gestures and look disabled options 3 and 4 finger (as I don't need them)

    (2) in Windows 8 tiles devices--> mouse and touchpad and change the settings of PC--> PC, I increase the interval of LONG.

So far, after two full days, not more random behavior of mouse pointer.

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista, Intel Wifi card is installed and activated, but does not detect the network.

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista

I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.

I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.

I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.

I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.

In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.

Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

    The on/off switch actually works?

Since it is an internal adapter to ensure it is enabled in the settings of configuration/F2 (BIOS/CMOS) often like you

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
