Windows 8 will start only after the mode 'sleep'

Hello

64-bit Windows 8 start I get the Windows logo first. It disappears and then a gray windows appears. Then nothing happens, no drive activity whatsoever. In the continuous boot order I put the laptop in standby mode. After getting it finally starts.

I'm running Windows 8 64 bits on a Medion Akoya E6221.

I disabled the closure of the hybrid, but this does not solve the problem.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hans

Problem solved!
For some reason I couldn't find a BIOS update. An email on this subject for Medion remained unsanwered.
Luckily a Microsoft employee on this forum told me that there is a. Applying it did the trick.

  • P2715Q, Windows size and location change after the mode 'sleep'

    Hey

    After that the monitor wakes up fashion 'sleep', all the windows are in the upper left corner and in different size just before going to sleep. It makes me crazy. Did not help. Found a few registry hacks key, but it can't be that difficult.

    I use following:

    View P2715Q Dell, Windows 10 Pro GTX 1070

    Everything is up-to-date.

    Really hope you can help me!

    #update 1

    It has something to do with how long the mode 'sleep'. I set the Sleep mode function 1 minute, whereas the display 'falling a sleep' and woke up after 30 seconds or more. Everything was in place.

    This isn't a question of monitor. It is a video card driver problem. Tiles from 1920 x 1080 uses two P2715Q sewn together by the video card driver to get the resolution of 3840 x 2160. So if the video card driver is slow to initialize the awakening from sleep mode, all open windows and icons are tossed at top left. We see this issue "tile" on AMD and Nvidia drivers. All you can do is to continue testing video card drivers latest when they are released.

    Workaround solution =
    * Spend 90% of your icons to the taskbar or the far left background
    * Close all open windows before allowing computer standby modes

  • MY POP3 accounts receive emails with lack and truncated attached files. This started only after the most recent update for Thunderbird Version 38.1.0

    I recently started having truncated the attachments in the emails to my POP3 accounts. The first I noticed was on 27 July 2015.

  • Windows does not start until after the second day to have.

    I just got my laptop Toshiba yesterday with Windows 7 above. I used it for about 4 hours, when I'm done I turned it off by saying it close here go to start > stop. Before putting the laptop on I saw the lights on so I pressed the manual to close button, at the last second, I saw he said something as 341 on 356 updates installed, do not turn off the computer. I don't think a lot because I was tired so the next morning, I try to turn on my laptop and it stops after the Windows 7 load loading animation, and all I have is a black screen with a mouse. I tried to run in safe mode, same thing black screen with my ability to see where is my mouse.

  • Dimension 4600i will start only after I have press F1 to continue

    I have a Dell 4600i, BIOS v. A12, purchased in 2004. Well well, the IDE crashed hard disk so I replaced it with a 250 GB Seagate SATA (SATA 0). Install XP Pro without problem, (I DO NOT press F6 for RAID config part 3 drivers, don't think I'm being SATA connectors on the motherboard) but then had to restart machine and let's go... Was told that each player not connected are not (well since they are not connected). This includes s SATA, IDE primary, secondary IDE blah blah blah. He said nothing on the drive on which is connected, as it was detected but does not just go? And of course I get "F1 to continue, F2 for Setup.

    I press F1 and it starts with windows with no problems, works fine!

    All just annoying to have to press F1 each time that I reboot? The only way it will start without pressing F1 is to disable the other drives in the BIOS? I've 2 options in the section of the sequence of Boot, "Drive C" & "USB device"?

    There is no option for me select it in the BIOS to boot from "SATA (?)", JUST "drive C".

    In the section hard drive, alll readers are set to "auto-detect" and it does not recognize my SATA drive as primary.

    No idea how to fix this with turning off all other readers?

    Thank you

  • Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'

    Hello

    I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.

    Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards

    Has exactly the same problem.  Called HP support.  They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.

    Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:

    1. Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards".  There were two shown:
      Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
      Intel(r) HD Graphics Family
    3. They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel.  The dialog box properties open;
    4. On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver.  Mine was 10.18.10.3379.

    HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316.  Here's how:

    (1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;

    (2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;

    (3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.

    (4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';

    (5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);

    (6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';

    (7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013.  It's a big download, 158 MB.

    Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it.  If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.

    After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.

    To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep).  I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form.  When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black.  Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in.  Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.

    I hope this helps.

  • Computer won't turn on after the mode 'sleep'

    My computer acted funny lately when it goes into mode 'sleep', and I have to reboot it until I can do something new. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I've read the other posts on this problem. Anyway, my keyboard has a sleep button that I brush occasionally, that causes all this to happen. However, I brushed it today, and instead to go just in a coma, the computer entered into mode 'sleep' (the light was orange, noise died down), then woke up to the top in a way where the fan on, but the light went off. I've forced to close and then turned back on. Now when I turn it on, the light and fan both going on, but the monitor remains off, and none of the lights on the keyboard lights up. Is there a simple solution to this, or it will need repairs?

  • HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na: HP Envy - keyboard and Trackpad not working after the mode 'sleep'.

    HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na

    I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.

    Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.

    Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.

    Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.

    Thank you.

    Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.

    I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.
