Windows Active Director security

I'm working on a site and need to assign users local permission to applications on their computer. When I try to add them it said cannot find the object. The link must be enabled for all desktop computers and is installed on all desktop computers. If I could I'd send a screen shot or join one of my personal pc where I took to show the question.

For Active Directory and domain issues, you should post in the appropriate here TechNet forum:

  • I think that she has damaged its registry to the Windows Activation. Error 0xC004E003

Recently, I changed the hard drive in my Dell bosses. I know that Windows is trying to re - validate after a few hardware changes, but he never asked for this info so I guess he didn't need to.

Other day windows has been updated and kept 3 restarts back to back. She is eager to work and held down the power button to stop the updates. When it restarted, it says Windows is not genuine.

I thought it was related to the chance of hardware, but for some reason that I can't activate by phone that I usually do for this. Instead, it looks like:

I tried "Type a different product key" and I get:

When I go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ and run the downloadable program (it says that my browser cannot do and gives download) it says "Welcome to windows. Because you are real Security Essentials Free trial... "but when I go back to slui.exe he always wants me to enter a correct validation key.

I tried many commands via cmd slmgr and somewhere I think it did activate windows. There is no warning lower right of my screen or when I connect. However slui still say that I need to activate.

I think when she forced stoppage that she screwed up a register which is not settled by removing the key and product reactivation. Is there a way to reset these registers then reactivate?

Microsoft Genuine Advanced Diagnostic Tool gives me this info:

  • Spy bot shows Windows Active Desktop with registry changes

I ran Spy bot this AM and found an entry that says "Microsoft Windows Active Desktop" with 5 registry changes. I search this Active Desktop, it seems, it should NOT exist on my computer I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm tempted to "solve" the problem, but am looking to better understand what this might mean benign or malicious way >

    Any ideas?

    Sorry, I can't send a screenshot

I hope that someone will be able to give some assistance soon, but in the meantime, have you asked on the Spybot forum?

  • Reinstalling windows - activation key has expired?

We bought a desktop dell computer about 1 1/2 to 2 years with pre-installed windows 7 Home premium. He broke, but some parts were always good. We bought a new Acer with preinstalled Windows 8 office which I didn't like. Also, the hard drive of the Dell printer was bigger. The intention was to simply pass on the disks, so Acer would have a bigger disk and Windows 7. It wouldn't boot correctly, so we reinstalled Windows 7 by using a disk image, downloaded from Microsoft and product key that was stuck on the Dell. Finally, we sold the Dell a guy on Craigslist. We had signed up everything except the motherboard, processor and power supply. As we took off the Windows 7 product key sticker. Acer has worked well and never mentioned anything on Windows is not genuine not. He remained off the coast for a few weeks. I turned today and it installs the updates on start up. The login screen normally shows and I connect. The desktop appears in black with 3 lines of text in the corner:

    Windows 7

    Build 7601

This copy of Windows is not genuine

There is a window in the middle of the screen that says

    Activate Windows now

    The activation period has expired

    It gives two options:

    Activate now

    Ask me later

At this stage there is no start bar or the desktop icons as if windows Explorer has not yet begun.

About 2 to 3 minutes later the paper in his arrives and the start bar and the desktop icons appear. The window "Activate Windows now" disappears also.

    Another window appears which says:

Update optional delivery does not work

You may be victim of software counterfeiting.

I tried not to get my key or whatever it is in fear that it could be a virus.

What is going on? There may be remnants of the key somewhere on the case of dell outside the sticker? What should I do?

Reason for the notification: 0xC004F009 (grace period expired).

As long as you have not used the product key Dell try to activate Windows, well he can't to try anyway:

How to activate Windows 7 by Internet
    1) click Start and in the search for box type: activate
    2) click on the 'Activate Windows' option at the top of the list
    3) click on "now, activate Windows online.
    (4) enter your 25-character product key (not case sensitive)
    5) click "Next" and wait for the key must be verified.

    Another method: Start/Control Panel of configuration/system and security/system /.
Now, scroll down and click on
'Product key change' or 'Windows enable in x days '.

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

  • Windows Active Directory

Can I use Radius AAA on an ASA 5505 to block outbound access by user name of users in a group? Thank you

    Hello

I think you might be interested on the verification of the new feature of 8,4 ASA: Firewall identity

    Identity of firewall

Generally, a firewall is not aware of the identity of the user and, therefore, impossible to implement identity-based security policies.

The identity of the ASA firewall provides more granular control of access based on the identity of users. You can configure access rules and security policies based on the user and groups rather than name names by source IP addresses. The ASA applies security policies based on an association of IP addresses to the Windows Active Directory connection information and reports on the events based on the names of mapped instead of IP addresses of network users.

Identity firewall integrates with the Active Directory window in conjunction with an external Agent of Active Directory (AD) that provides the mapping of the real identity. The ASA uses Windows Active Directory as a source to retrieve the identity information of the current user for specific IP addresses.

In a company, some users log on the network using other authentication mechanisms, such as authentication with a web portal (passage of proxy) or by using a VPN. You can configure the firewall of identity to allow these types of identity-based authentication under access policies.

    We introduced or modified the following commands: user-identity enable user-default-domain identity, user-identity domain, logout-probe user-identity, user-identity inactive-user-timer, user-identity poll-import-user-group-timer, user-identity netbios-response-fail action, user-identity user-not-found, user-identity ad-agent-down action, user-identity action mac-address-mismatch, user-identity domain-controller-down action, user-identity ad-agent active-user-database, user-identity ad-agent hello-timer, user-identity ad-aaa-server agent, user-identity update user import-, user-identity static user, ad-agent-mode, dns domain-lookup, dns poll-timer , dns expire-entry-timer, user of the object-group, show the identity of the user, see the dns, Configure clear - user identity, clear dns, debug the identity of the user agent test ad-aaa-Server.

Please find the Configuration Guide Chapter referring to the firewall attached identity.

Hope that does you in the right direction.

  • Windows Activation error 7: an error has occurred; Access is denied. ; 0x80070005

I recently had a weird problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525 under Windows 7 Home Premium.  (Which is here: http://bit.ly/rwzCt6).  In any case it was resolved to boot from the Windows 7 Edition installation disc Home Premium and do a system restore.  When I logged on I was so happy that I wasn't getting the famous black screen with cursor.  But now my background is black and bottom right, he says:

    Windows 7
    Build 7601
This copy of Windows is not genuine
Whenever I open the 'Activate Windows' program, he said only: "an error has occurred."  If I click on see details, it is said:
    Code:
    0x80070005

    Description:
    Access is denied.
I can't use Office, Security Essentials, and it is really annoying that every five minutes it tells me to activate online (which by the way, tells me this):
    Windows validation has been stopped.

The validation service is unavailable at this time.  Please try validation again later.).
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help I have buy Windows 7 and Office and I cannot use it properly.  Thanks in advance!
    EDIT:
I just got a message saying the following:
    Windows must be restored

An unauthorized change was made to Windows.  You must reinstall or restore Windows system files to activate.

    How to reinstlall Windows?
    What is system restore?

  • INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE on Windows 8 with Secure Boot (Alienware x 51 R2)

    Hello

I have a desktop R2 of Alienware x 51 and when I first bought it came with Windows 8. Long story short, I decided to install Windows 7 instead and for that I had to disable the secure in the BIOS boot option. Now I decided to install DOS Windows 8 and it worked and everything, but when I turn it back on Secure Boot it gives me a blue screen with the message: inaccessible_boot_device.

So I don't know what to do here. Basically, what I want is to have Windows 8 on my computer with secure startup, commissioning. I don't mind not duty re - install Windows 8 given that I didn't restore my backups but I always try to solve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I re-formatted my computer last night and ended up resolving this issue so I thought I would update this matter with my solution.

    Basically, I followed this guide:

    www.eightforums.com/.../38486-need-help-formatted-genuine-Windows-8-Lenovo.html

With the help of the media Windows Installation tool, I was able to install Windows 8.1 Secure Boot with UEFI active. Please note that I used a USB Flash drive and not a DVD, apparently, it makes the whole process better somehow.

Thank you for your help and time of Milena and Naomi!

  • Upgrade HDD to SSD and keep the windows activation

Hi, I just bought lenovo y50-70

I think the question is who will be how I activate windows 8.1 (the one provided with windows active 8.1) I can't seem to find the key or something...

Download Windows 8.1 install for free (not the pro version), using the tool of media (which you can download here) to install it in a USB or dvd. Use the USB or dvd to install the operating system.

  • Re-install Windows 8 with AxshunJaxun Guide, Windows activation?

In his pinned post, AxshunJaxun explains how to reinstall some ISOs Windwows they provide, and then how to download the necessary drivers and software.

However, how can I activate Windows with this guide?  The links are to test Windows 8.  Any help?

    It works!

Immediately when you start the installation, even if the hard disk has been deleted, the Windows Installer management of grown up the HP logo that appears at startup, likely out of the installation disc.  After a successful installed, (important note here, see below), Windows activated successfully, and I confirmed in the properties of the computer.

Important note: for some reason, the Windows Setup Manager, when you partition my drive, said that Windows could not be installed on the 1 and only hard drive in the computer.  Confused, I clicked next anyway, and he succeeded.

However, I had to torrent the file .iso image, instead of download from Google Drive.  I would like to remind everyone that simply by downloading the .iso image file is not illegal, and this download from a single source is not different from that of the other, as long as you ensure that it is not.

I have torrented this magnet .iso image file:

  • Question 8 Windows Activation

So Lenovo think that my hard drive was not on my G500. They send me a hard drive and 4 Lenovo recovery disks. I install everything correctly and I get an error of activation of Windows.

I called Lenovo and they check that the o/s and the hard drive are installed correctly. However, they say that they cannot give me a license key and I need to ship my Lenovo laptop so they can install a license key. Does make sense?

Windows activation error code is 0xC004C003.

Now, what's interesting is that when the rep took control away from my machine, I saw, it was registered under the email address of my son and not mine (I got mine when I made the connection after reinstalling) and I have no idea how and why it shows the address of my son.

Thanks in advance for any help.

as the cd key is installed in the bios most of the time now, you will need some programs to read

I used the program and it reads the cd out of my yoga fine 2
