Windows by mistake "not geniune" after inserting the old drive C:\

I'm so frustrated!

Today, I inserted the old SSD drive (that used to have Windows 7 on it) via a USB cable, so I can format it and use it for something else.

This is the system drive that I cloned on a SSD drive more when I ran out of space.

Now, since I inserted the disc, the Windows screen turned black and says it's 'not real' - but that is wrong, it is authentic!

My Office 2010 no longer works now, he also pointed out that the ex officio license is not valid.

I want to call Microsoft today and express my frustration, but I can not even find the number to call, because it is said to follow the news of dialogue in the control panel to find the activation number.

This is nonsense, I have so many other things to do today than to deal with this...

That's right - you may have found my name attached to a few thousand of these results as well

Changes in system slightly depending on whether you have installed or not - KB971033 and install ramp sensitivity a bit.

Essentially, without the installed update, Windows will only make internal controls (almost exclusively to boot or wake up time). The WAT (KB971033) update also makes periodic analyses (normally every 90 days) using 'definitions' downloaded from MS who specifically search Activation Exploits known and blocked the keys.

Changes in the hardware configuration will trigger a scan license - I'm just surprised that attaching a USB drive is triggered the trigger, as it never did for me.

I'm running Windows Vista 64 bit, Home Premium SP2 with 8 GB of ram. I recently cloned my hard drive OEM of 500 GB, 5400 RPM Toshiba MK5055GSX via a standalone, dual drive bay dock for upgrade to a 750 GB, 7200 RPM, Western Digital WD7500BPKT. Since the clone/upgrade, Service Windows Update does not work and gives the message: ' Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. • Message "Non-genuine Windows" & Windows Update does not work after replacing the RAM.

    Hello

I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.

The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.

Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.

By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.

I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.

I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.

I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated.  From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.

Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.

I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".

  • Windows 10 can not boot after installing the Bootcamp drivers

I have an iMac late 2013 (21.5 "), and I just got 10 Windows so that I can install it using bootcamp. I spent a good part of two days trying to get Windows to work with installing bootcamp, but no matter what I do, the result is always the same. If I let bootcamp install its driver (as he wants when you start first in 10 Windows after installation), Windows will crash before loading fully at the next startup. He comes to see the windows logo pop up with the loading circle spinning around for a second, until what the circle all the sudden stops. After that, it restarts and I hear the iMac from sounds (this much quieter time for some reason any) and then it does the same thing. The third time that it restarts, it starts the automatic recovery mode and I get caught for the advanced boot menu. After letting Windows reinstall itself, it works fine except that it lacks some of the display driver (I can't adjust the brightness) and I also can not use the function keys on my apple keyboard, or the magic mouse at all.

I tried to reinstall OS X El Capitan and then repeat the installation for Windows. I tried with the driver OS X Downloads for me in Bootcamp (version 6.0), and I've also tried using those newer that Apple offers for download on their site (Version 5.1.5769). All attempts of the result of facilities Bootcamp in crash of boot even when Windows is restarted.

Windows is still usable, I just think it would work as it is supposed for a Mac wish. Why the bootcamp drivers break 10 windows? Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, any suggestions?

    Thank you

BC 6.x drivers are more recent and recommended for Windows 10 models 2013 and following.

  • Sound does not work after updating the Audio driver on Satellite P100-248

After an optional update to the audio driver in my Toshiba Satellite P100-248 conexant high definition, there's not more solid. I know it's the driver who caused the problem because it back to the windows generec driver and a reboot resolved the probem the first time around. Recently I had problems with my microphone so I was looking for a newer driver and installed upgrading the driver again by mistake.

Now the noise disappeared again and I don't want to go back to the generic driver, but I can't find the conexant driver appropriate through Toshiba because the socket driver does not list my model. I tried a few of the drivers for the other models of the P series, but without success. Any ideas where I can find my driver? I'm on Vista 32 bit SP1.

    > but I can't find the conexant driver appropriate through Toshiba because the socket driver does not list my model.
Hmm... Satellite P100-248 belongs to the PSPAGE series and this series of mobile is listed on the European Toshiba driver page sp I t really know what you're talking about.

You will find also all the Vista drivers available on this page.
I would say, download the audio driver and install it.

  • Update of Vista 32 bit does not work after replacing the hard drive

A month ago the hard drive of my computer (ACER Aspire 6920) had to be replaced. The disk image hard precedent (which includes the c: with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, SP 2 build 6002) has been mirrored to the new hard drive. Everything seemed to work fine until I noticed that I don't have more updates from Microsoft. I tried a manual update and got the message that the update service was not working and I have to restart the computer. However, the Task Manager showed that the update service has been executed. Of course, I rebooted the computer, but nothing has changed.

I found a whole bunch of recommendations for this issue in this forum, but nothing seems to work:

    • The Microsoft FixIT tool indicates a problem with the update of components, and then said that the problem had been solved successfully. However, the problem is still there and rerun the FixIt tool Gets the same message on a problem (yet) found and fixed.
    • I also stopped the update service, delete all content in Windows/C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and restarted the service. without success.
    • I've temporarily disabled my security suite (Eset Smart Security 6) and tried the update. I also have fittings the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to the scope of the antivirus, without success. On the old hard drive, I used a different security suite so I thought that maybe the ESET (that I installed everything recently) could be the cause of the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
    • I also followed the instructions provided by Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058, but again, no change at all. However, it should be noted that registering some DLLs that Microsoft listed does not work (message that the DLL is not found or some server entry point (my translation, I'm using the German UI and don't know English good term; sorry) could not be found.)

Http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 , I found another tool that supposedly can solve some problems of updating; I downloaded the version for Vista 32-bit, but it cannot install it on my computer (error code = 0xc8000247 during installation).

So I'm really lost now what else to do. I would appreciate any suggestions. Please note that I am not technically very warned :)

    ARG, apologies.

Was not aware that they had dropped support for Vista... (I myself have 'graduated' Vista earlier)

The fact that you have not already installed TSRI is exactly your problem.

Recent hard drives using 'Sectors 4 K', also known as 'Advanced Format Technology'.

If the installed hard disk driver currently is not compatible with this specification,

It will result in oddities like the status of the service Windows Update is not recognized correctly.

Installation TSRI will fix this in most cases.

Alternatively, if you are using Vista SP1 or later version (or 7 SP1), you can use the real driver.

Since you are already updated to SP2, we will see if it is a viable solution.

Go to: start-> Control Panel-> programs-> programs and features

In the list of installed programs, locate and remove if found.

    -Intel Matrix Storage Manager

    -Intel Turbo Memory

This should force your computer to go back to the real driver provided by Vista.

  • Windows 7 reports not true after install a hard drive more in PC

I have a valid and legal copy of win7 ultimate that I bought new in box. I installed and activated on my PC, I want to install a hard drive more in my PC. I put in the new drive and proceed with the installation of my win7 ultimate all goes well until I try to activate windows and told me my copy is not valid. Hello Rocko

I don't know how to answer them. Maybe you should explain your problem a bit better. For example:
What operating system you are using? Why you installed the sound driver? Is the reason why your own installation of OS or you have had a few problems of her before?

  • Windows Update does not work after restoring the system

HP Compaq 6000 Pro, bought in early 2011. Windows 7 32 bit. I recently did a factory restore to return to a clean system using factory restore partition. The restoration seems complete ok, and I have a Windows 7 clean and functional configuration.

However, the Update window will not work (and of course, it is now quite an old installation of Windows 7) it comes up with the Red Cross and the message "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running." Other notable issues that may or may not be related are: Windows Defender won't start not (0 x 80070564). HP Support Assistant reports it needs to update, but the update fails (because then it just says: it should be updated again)

    What I've tried so far:

Verified that the BITS and the WU services are both actually run

    Uninstalled the McAfee antivirus software

Tried to install Windows 7 SP1 directly (happens with "catastrophic failure")

    Tried Windows Update (wusa.exe) stand-alone installation / WU Readiness tool-fail (Oxc8000247)

MS difficulty he said Troubleshooter it corrects problems, but nothing changes later

(In short, tried all suggestions from MS support)

It drives me crazy - any help will be appreciated!

ISO should work, just be sure to download the version of Pro 32-bit.

  • Indexing not runing after upgrading the hard drive, sfc/scannow reports corrupted files.

I replace my hard drive using a system repair disc and a system image on 4 DVDs

Everything works well except the Win 7, that it is not authentic. I intend to deal with this later.

Then I noticed that indexing does not work

Went to research, indexing options, advanced, it says indexing does not work

Select Advanced, rebuild, it simply works and runs,.

I tried - C:\windows\system32>sfc/scannow, he reported 100 percent complete audit.

Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them

Details are provided in convertible bonds. Journal windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

I can open the file, but it is 1 MB of data, and I have no idea what this means

    Help

Fact activation of "in person" who has been a success, but no real messeages returned.

Called MS - after obtaining a level 2 tech and after much digging, installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology Application SATA/RAID support (I don't have a RAID).

    That fixed all problems!
