I have a problem with the Windows Explorer. It keeps crashing and restarting every 10 seconds as soon as windows loads. I got in safe mode, and this error does so. My computer is free from virus/spyware etc...

Thank you for your support in advance. I need to solve this problem quickly, I would appreciate your help.

    4 GB OF RAM

    2.4 GHz

    NVidia GeForce GT 320M

Thank you for your help, but I tried something else. What you suggested, it was too complicated for me :) I restored Windows 7 to the point before the problem started (which was a recent Java Update December 26) and even if he says that restoration could not be complete, it seems to be invalid the latest version of Sun Java and Windows Explorer now works as it is supposed to.

I have a new question now, if update SunJava caused my windows Explorer keep crashing how can I keep the java software to install this update again? Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Windows Explorer keeps restarting.

    Dear geniuses,
So, I found this egg Easter for Windows 7 that I thought would work for Vista too. It was an Easter egg "GodMode" that had me create a folder and rename it to something and after I made my computer made me reboot Windows Explorer and after I did it did not stop to do. I am not able to access anything (anything on my desk, my Start button, etc.), the only way I can access stuff is if I go into my task manager and that he tell it to create a new task. I can still go on the internet and I can't find any solution. Please help, thanks.

    Hello

1 do you have. what application installed?

    2. have you already check if it's compatible with Windows 7?

    3. what happens when you open any application from the desktop?

    4. you have any application installed on the computer security?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to uninstall the program and check if the problem persists.

    Uninstall or change a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

I also suggest you to start the computer in safe mode and perform the clean boot in order to isolate the application that could be causing the problem.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

This could happen if one of the substantive programmes is in conflict with the proper functioning of your computer. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

    Method 3:

I also suggest you go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2694911

Note: Do not forget to save all the date before performing in place it upgrade, also known as a repair installation.

Note: After the upgrade on site, your personal data and installed programs will not be deleted, but you may need to run Windows Update to install all the updates that are available for your system to update these files system to the current version.

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

  • Windows Explorer keeps restarting without stopping

2 weeks ago windows Explorer started to reboot when I open a specific folder on my laptop. Last night, just kept windows Explorer restart top is on I stop the laptop and he did it again, but he did the same thing as soon as windows has started. I went in Mode safe reflection might be able to solve the problem there, but it's the same thing, kept windows Explorer restart Windows started. I rebooted my computer and click F8 and "restored the system" to a restore point prior and rebooted the computer, but it's the same thing. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LAPTOP?

    Hello

Reinstall the printer driver and your audio/sound driver. Note update drivers was also
one of the methods in the previous troubleshooting. Have you tried the clean boot method?
    Did you also run CheckDisk?

If necessary AFTER those try a repair Installation / upgrade on the spot that allows you to keep
programs and data backups however redundant are always a good idea.

You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own
Product key. It must be the same version 32 or 64 BIT Vista OEM. Also the system
machine to usually sell the cheap disk since you already own Windows. Don't forget to make a
good backup or 3 (security in redundancy).

    On-site upgrade

  • Everyone has a problem with the Windows Explorer permanently closing?

    * Original title: Windows Explorer

Everyone knows about a problem with the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) without interruption closing? It is not fair on 1 computer, I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops, and it does on 4 of them. They are all running Windows 7, (1 to the publishing house, 1A Ultimate and 2 Professional).  I can right click on something, even on the desktop, and most of the time, I get a message that Windows Explorer has stopped and the ability to close or wait for it to respond. I have normally not 30 minutes or more to wait so that he could respond and if I close it, then it does nothing. I've done all updates are recommended for all my computers, I did the defragmentation, disk check, etc and it still continues. I need help, please. I am so sick and tired of what I am about to go to a Mac and I don't like Mac computers, but said there is much less of a problem.

You have loaded all 3rd party "Add-ons" in common to all PC? For example (this is an old post Vista but gives the general idea) - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-desktop/windows-explorer-crashes-on-right-click/719385e6-fff5-498d-807c-103bf0344f44?page=1&tm=1423414000974 and see Ramesh respond.

If not, is there clues in the log of events (errors) in common on all computers where the crash?

  • Windows Explorer keeps stealing focus

I have problems with Windows Explorer, support for the screen as the main application, but not totally. Often she does when I launch an application having worked with explore moments before.

This is the case of 5 up to 30-60 seconds after that a new application has begun, with US not closed. It's quite annoying, and sometimes dangerous for example, working with Word and press DELETE to remove the text, all of a sudden that you remove files...

Funny about this is that it is not a full discussion fly, you must click on two timeson the other application icon in the taskbar to reactivate.

Often, a certain instability in Windows Explorer or abnormal behavior is due to the addons and defective shell extensions.
Consider using Sysinternals Autoruns or ShellExView. Disable Add-ons and non Microsoft shell extensions and verify the behavior.  If he went, reactivate the disabled extensions/add-ons, one at a time and see if you can identify who may be liable.
Try a clean bootor start in safe mode, or create a new user account and test it there...  The behavior persists?
  • Right-click on any file or folder in Windows Explorer causes closing.

    Hello.
is my windows: XP SP3 (with the latest updates)

whenever I do a right-click on any file or folder in Explorer, display this error:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't do any process on my files (rename, delete, copy, paste,...)

    error report contains:
AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

This looks like a problem with the Extension of Shell.

To resolve, download the freeware "ShellExView".

When you run it, it will give the list all extensions of shell on your computer.  You start by selectively the deactivation and activation of extensions until you find the (s) which is causing your problem.  Start by turning off all non-Microsoft (right click on a line-> disable) extensions and see if your problem persists.  If it isn't, then re-enable the disabled in small groups until you narrow down which is causing your problem.

  • Why my Windows Explorer was closed not to Data Execution Prevention?

There is no sense to me at all. I have always used a good program antivirus on this pc and I've used Security Essentials now for many months.

I enabled Data Execution Prevention several years ago and I even re-enabled it immediately when I reinstalled Windows XP and all my programs and docs a few months ago. Should I worry and if yes, what should I do today? I use this pc for a day now as this "shut down" and I see no problem.

I wasn't talking to you Jeff A Davis.

When when XP has a DEP error, it is usually Explorer Windows or Internet Explorer.

The first thought of people seem to have (when you don't know how to understand and resolve it) is to add just exploring or IE to the DEP exception list so that the next time she threatens, XP allows him to go right on and pointed her out.

The DEP exception list have a purpose, as if you have some special application that you know is safe and getting DEP errors for it, you can add it to the exceptions list so you can continue to use the program without complaining XP.

If you encounter errors of the DEP in Windows Explorer, you can understand what the problem is (usually a third party extension) and decide what to do.  Blindly, adding that a DEP for Explorer exception is unwise, short sighted and unsafe.  However, it is a quick way to make the error go away.

DEP is supposed to protect your system and XP should not feel threatened by the components of its own - except if the component is severely affected by a third-party extension.

There is a method to solve the DEP errors.  Adding exceptions for Explorer or IE isn't the first thing to do.  It's the lazy thing to do.

I'm actually spawn a creativity out of the SE.  A Microsoft Support engineer should know how to resolve errors DEP - or learn how at least.

Don't worry though - there is a self answer with links to the articles the Microsoft KB and the guarantee about it as the answer to this topic.

  • Windows Explorer keeps asking to close once I do a right click on something

    I have

This problem seems a lot you might have hard disk corruption problems.  The only thing you did not mention this was a disk check.  Now would be a good time to do a 'chkdsk/f' in the case where damaged directories are initially explore crash.  This little regular maintenance must be performed regularly.

  • Why windows Explorer keep crash since I installed internet explorer 9

the answer to "immediately after installing IE9 Windows explore crashes - Vista SP2" does not actually to answer the question for me as I will be unable to upgrade to Windows 7 for a long time yet. I can't even uninstall IE9 because I can't in the Panel, nor can I access the restore points. How can I uninstall IE9 - is there a solution to this problem that doesn't involve the upgrade to Windows 7?

    Hello

    Thank you for your response.

    I decided earlier, however,
