  If you have the following AV, antivirus, programs installed, close your Windows Defender. Purpose of these AVs have their own advocates. 2 defenders on the same machine will create conflicts.
  Bottom line: it's ok. It's normal.
  List of AVs which will stop Windows Defender:

  Norton
  McAfee
  AVG
  Microsoft Security Essentials

  If you have no meanings, here's a way to reboot your Windows Defender:

  Start button > in the search box, typeServices > press the Enter key > scroll to find Windows Defender, click on it >...

  My firewall does not start.  It gives the service specific error code 13.  Tried to manually start the service, no luck.  Also checked the dependencies, all not working no chance. Looking for spyware and viruses.  No luck.  Searched everywhere on the internet solutions and found only dead ends.

  • When the firewall service has failed to start?
  • You have errors in the log of events dealing with the firewall service? Check the system and safety and the Application event log.
  • The Firewall Service is set to automatic? She is arrested or if it is in a State of waiting? Is the journal on the expected system Local?

  My computer does not illuminate. I have a Dell XPS M1530 with Windows Vista. The problem started yesterday when I left my computer unplugged. When I got home, the screen was blank and I just assumed it was gone to sleep. I pressed the power button and the power light turned on for a brief moment, and then turns off again. Then I turned off the computer by pressing the power button. When I tried to turn on the computer again, the lights on top of my computer, such as A / V controls, enlightened to the mode of the normal sequence, the player makes the usual click and the power button lights up for a short while before leaving.   Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
