Windows Live Photo Gallery HELP troubleshooting!
For some reason, the tab home suddenly disappeared when I open an individual photo in Windows Live Photo Gallery.
I have worked in my Gallery for a few hours now, and before, when I opened an individual photo it would just make more and focus on this one here.
Now, the file menu on the left is gone (im sure it was there before) and the tab home went.
without the Home tab, the only way to return to the main menu it if close program and re open.
How can I stop?
In Windows Live Photo Gallery... to navigate from full
Miniature display... try to press your ESC key.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a database that can
corrupted. (it is not affected by the uninstall /)
relocation of WLPG)If you rename the file... it will force the photo gallery to create a
new database file the next time, it is launched and the Gallery
will be as it was the first time it was launched.I'm not positive that this will solve the problem that you are
dealing with but if you want to test, the file name
is... Pictures.PD6.Just rename it to OLDPictures.pd6. This can cause you to

Photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery does not?
I use the photo gallery Windows for years. When I updated to Windows 7 recently, I upgraded to Windows Live Photo Gallery and everything has been fine until recently - all of a sudden, when I open it, there are a ton of pictures that don't charge - they are solid gray rectabgles or rectangle of generic icon 'island '. When I double click on it, my image opens, but I have to be able to see all my photos in the Gallery - is - anyone know why this is happening?
Hi Tatifl,(a) don't you make changes to your computer before the onset of the problem?
(b) what kind of image files you are trying to open?
(c) that you get the error messages?
(d) what is the size of the file you are viewing?Put the computer in a clean boot State and check if the problem persists.Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.Note: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.e. click OK and then click on restart.Note: Reset the computer to start as usualWhen you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.c.
