Windows mail and e-mail recived incorrect account.

I have several different 'accounts' within windows mail and each with a different e-mail address for use by the members of the family separated.
Everything works fine because they have been implemented, but now an account has not reciving e-mail & mail addressed to another account is displayed with respect to another person (despite the Envoy to... address by post being correct)

This is starting to drive me crazy because no one knows what email is for whom, without them open & read the Envoy at the address on the mail.

t-4-t, no rules set up & tried to scan e-mail out, no joy.   As I said that everything has worked well since the implementation (over 12 months), but 2 days ago, this problem started without warning.

Did you reboot after you turn off the option to e-mail analysis?

Opportunity:
The account that stopped from receiving and sending could have been damaged. Delete this account, recreate the account.
See if that helps. Note: you do not want messages from accounts and other backup before deleting the account.

If still no go, I can only suggest you install Windows Live Mail which is supposed to replace Windows Mail anyway.

  • Missing "attachment" column in windows mail sent items account IMAP

    Hello
I recently changed my operator e-mail that offered IMAP.

I changed my POP3 to IMAP account in Windows mail, and everything works perfectly, except:

Because the 'Sent items' folder is called "Sent", that I changed and the mail is stored correctly, but now I have no column 'attachment '. It is not possible to choose, either when I check the columns that are available.
Is this a known issue, or that's how it is supposed to be?
When you use POP3 "sent items" shows the column 'attachment '.

  • How can I determine the account settings in Windows Mail to create accounts in WLM

I'm helping a friend set up the accounts in WLM, but I don't know what e-mail accounts, she tied to Windows Mail. Only his user name is listed, not the email address complete, for example rebell1952 rather than * address email is removed from the privacy * (my email address, not hers). In addition, she has forgotten what are passwords, then is it possible to make them visible in Windows Mail. There are a number of important emails that she needs to keep, but she bought a new Windows 7 machine, the old machine has Vista and must associate accounts in Windows Mail WLM.

Could you please explain your answer? There are 3 accounts listed, one is a hotmail account, because the server is for hotmail, another is a comcast.net account and the third has just POP33 in the Server tab.

I don't know what the third account is all about.

July 2011, updated night substituted Windows Mail to my Outlook Express.  The previous settings, accounts, box receipt, messages sent and saved files have disappeared.  I have trouble finding them for re-import them in Windows Mail.  Orientation, please?

There is no Outlook Express on Vista, so it's hard to understand what happened.  If you want to run Windows Mail, then it is under "c:\program files\Windows Main\Winmail.exe".  You can copy it (including the quotation marks) and click Start | Search and paste that here and WinMail should start.  But there is no OE in Vista.  Can you download Windows Live Mail installed and that's what you see.  But you need to clarify what exactly you use above all can help more.

  • I'm stuck on my laptop Windows 8 and cannot unlock my Microsoft account. How can I return to my laptop?

My mother had a new laptop from Windows 8 for Christmas. Woohoo! She already has a Windows Phone, so she has a Microsoft account.

When she first signed in her computer, she didn't use his account of Microsoft, so she used a different email address. We had him go back and link their account to a Microsoft Account, but she could not remember the password to MY (her phone does not require it to remember). So, while she has access to his account of MY through his phone (email, skydrive, Messenger, etc.), she can't connect to it via the web or their new computer. To further complicate the things, all this switching autour led to forget the password, she chose when she first signed in the (local account on the) laptop.

So, now it is totally locked out of his computer. We tried to reset her password to MY, but unfortunately the security only option we have is to send it to an e-mail address that is not fully illustrated and must be incorrect, because we never received the email to reset. Ugh.

Yes, Yes, we should have remembered the password. Yes, we should add more security options (such as the telephone number of its Windows Phone). This isn't the issue, the question is: how the hell we have access to his laptop again?

A question is: How do we get access to mastery again? We tried three or four times to give all the information they ask for (last addresses sent e-mail to the last e-mail subject lines, etc.) without success (despite the fact that it can send and receive emails from its Windows Phone). We do not have a credit card or other billing associated with his account information and it did not create folders to email him (and apparently, can't make his phone).

It gets really frustrating - there should be a way to talk to a human being or something that can reason better than Microsoft account unlocker automated tool.

    Last updated on 26/12/12:

It is interesting that my mother would have access to his account (e-mail, skydrive, e-mail) via his phone but, since she don't remember not his password to his laptop or the live.com site. It is also interesting that even if she has a phone that is obviously linked to his account, it cannot receive a text (or messenger note or same email) with a link to security number/password or password reset via his phone.

If anyone with the ability to listen, my mother could really use a link reset password secure e-mail to its live.com account, so that it can reset his password on his phone!

Otherwise, I think it's just going to return the laptop Windows 8. They do not have give it an OS reinstall the drive, which is the only other thing I can think to recover his system...

PS: It would also be nice if Microsoft would publish an email address on their account or email recovery page such that when the process fails, there is another available for persons other than simply to try new way (which is, as some claim, the definition of insanity).

    Thank you!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • I have Windows 7 and cannot access the administrator account

I am unable to enter my administrator account because I accidentally put the wrong password in place.  I don't remember to save my life.  Unfortunately, I do not have a disk or anything else as a backup so I don't know what my other options would be.

I really, really need to access my photos and files from the admin account.  Is it possible that I can recover?  Help, please!

We will put your computing experience on a more solid basis as follows:

    • A Windows repair CD is absolutely essential if you decide to do maintenance on your own PC. It takes only three minutes to burn a via the control panel / backup and restore. Given that you have never created one before, you now have these options:
      -Burn it on another computer.
      -Borrow one from a friend.
      -Buy one here: http://systemdiscs.com/
    • Start dieting solid backup on an external device. With your valuable photos right on your PC takes a lot of unnecessary risks.
    • Create, test, and document an alternative admin account, as you have a spare House key. It takes less than a minute.

When you have your CD to repair Windows, then you can solve your current problem as follows:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.

I need to set up a different e-mail account in windows mail.  This account using my contact list current, or separate?  I really wish to be separate, since I use an account created for the not-for-profit club.

It uses the same contacts file. In addition to using the same contacts file, you will need to create a second "Inbox" and use message rules to divert the incoming mail on behalf of the second Inbox.

As far as I KNOW, the only way around this is to have a separate profile to logon Windows, or maybe the program could contribute.

  • opening windows mail ask me a username and password

Could not connect in windows mail

This is Windows mail.  Windows Live Mail can be a little different, but the solution may be similar, unless your problem is unable to connect to Windows Live in the first place?

Your settings are correct for your type of e-mail account?  Most ISPs do not require a box checked for a secure connection.  They do need to have a legitimate user name (email address) and a password.

In Windows Mail, check tools / accounts / mail / xxxxxx to your email provider / properties / servers, there are two checkboxes at the bottom (for the logon and authentication) which if are checked, you can try to remove the tick.

Your ISP should be able to help you in this case, because they know what settings you need.

  • Windows Mail - account signatures

I have 2 email via MS Windows Mail to access accounts and have set up 2 different signatures for each account, but when I compose a new message, the default signature appears regardless of which account I select (when I compose a new email message that appears is the default account).   I remove the default signature in the email and include signature of the 2nd account by selecting ' insert/signature', but I want it to automatically insert.  What I am doing wrong?

Not only signatures bad, but this looks like your sending messages to the wrong account as well.

    You have two options:

    1. you can get the WMIDS program, and it will add this feature in Windows Mail.

    http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/default.aspx

    2. you can switch to Windows Live Mail Beta (WLM). There Inbox folders for each account. It supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP Web site (EX: Hotmail) e-mail and is much more stable. WLM will automatically import messages, accounts and settings from Windows Mail in there. Contacts must be imported manually. (Tools, Contacts, files, import Windows Useer current addressbook.

  • Live.IE pop3 does not not in Windows Mail

A few months ago, I created an email address @live.ie. I was able to send and receive emails in Windows Mail, until a week ago. He keeps asking for username and password. I checked all the settings, password is correct definely. Even tried putting the account in Thunderbird, but that tells me that the password is incorrect.

Does anyone have any ideas? I may access POP3 is no longer available for live.ie email addresses but I can't find any info about it.

The error msg that I don't get in Windows Mail is:

Account: 'Live', server: 'pop3.live.com', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR mailbox could not be opened ', Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

Your settings seem correct, but you have "authentication required".
    checked?  It should be.

In addition, accounts in Windows Mail sometimes get corrupted, so you may need to
Remove it and enter it again.

Incident like this happens usually when you have a duplicate email account... 2 identicle accounts.
So, are your sure to have 4 accounts, not 5?
    You can try the following...
DELETE this account and re-create the same account. Make sure that you copy the settings first before starting to remove it.
After re - create the same account, send a test message to this account. How many copies do you receive?

I tried a Microsoft response, after that I went by configuration directives to set up email in Windows Mail, Microsoft could not offer all the other information/help.

All updates Microsoft Vista (except Silverlight), are installed.

I have Norton Antivirus 360, (to date).  I tried to disable Norton thinking he was causing a conflict, but it did not help.

Last week I had a lot of trouble to do just to the internet, web pages painted very slowly.  HughesNet this associated with too many users on the internet.

I, under Windows Mail, ALL in sync, but still sometimes Windows Mail works for accounts and/or one or the other account.

I hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

    Thank you.

There are important issues with Windows Mail and Norton (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) that would be so my initial guess on the problem.

But if the Hughes technical support said you that "there are too many users on the Internet" as an excuse for the problem, then I probably would think that you are experiencing intermittent dropouts in connectivity due to the provider you have.  If you can, I'd get a new supplier.

You can also test using Webmail if you have that option, then you could exclude Winmail as being an issue, but with Norton and a flakey ISP, so it is difficult to tell who is the culprit, if not both.
