Windows Mail - separate accounts

I have a number of different pop3 e-mail accounts, and they work very well. I implemented the subfolders for each items in Inbox and sent accounts. When an e-mail is received, it goes directly into the file relating to the account (I created a rule in the rules of Message for that to happen). However, I set up a rule for sent items go in the subfolder relating to this account (that is to say, account 2 - box sent) but it does not work! They always go the MAIN elements sent and I must manually, drag and drop them in the correct folders. Can you help me? Why is this happening?

Hello

I've never used any so I'm hesitant to try to recommend some. Try this link to ask those who

Is it because of the, 'DEFAULT' on the main account settings?

    Hi Dawnglider,

Well, you will need to find another program or even to use message rules to divert the emails from different accounts to different folders.  I don't know any other program that will do that with Windows Mail, then maybe you need to look for other e-mail programs.  I don't quite know which have the feature of Outlook Express identities, but I'm not an expert on other e-mail programs.

  • Windows Mail displays accounts that I have not created

    Hello

I do not use Windows Mail.

I checked the Internet Options, Advanced tab, settings of browser, Internet Explorer 9 and went in the Temporary Internet Files folder.

I then went to the Windows Mail folder.

There are three accounts of Windows Messaging it contained therein. (i.e., account {0FC... oeaccount, OEACCOUNT FILE}) if I ever set up Windows Mail, what are these three accounts?  How will I know what they are?  If not, where can I get?

    Thank you very much

  • Need to import contacts and messages saved from a Windows Mail email account to another

Recently changed ISPS but currently have two active accounts.  I would like to import/transfer saved messages and folders, and all contacts from the old account to the new account before the cancellation of the old account.  Both are configured through Windows mail.

In Windows Mail, messages, folders, and contacts are not related to any specific email account, so remove your old account won't affect.  To check that, I just removed all my Windows Mail accounts on a Windows Vista-based computer that I use for testing.  Messages, folders, and contacts are always there.

To be safe, you could back up the Windows Mail storage folder before deleting an account.

Windows Live Mail works differently and requires copy/move messages before deleting an account. Boulder computer Maven

  • locked out of windows mail email account

I changed my password for BT, my server, due to the large amount of spam I received.  Spam has continued, but I'm now stuck my Windows Mail account.  I find my email BT if laborious, dealing with spam is so slow.  How to get back on my Windows Mail account where my security deals quickly with the large amount of spam sent via BT?  Can you help me?

Changing your password will have absolutely no effect on spam.  If you want to eliminate spam, change your email address.  Your password protects you against hackers breaking in your account (a common thing these days) and using your account to send messages to your contacts.

Once you have changed your password to BT, you must also change it in your e-mail program.

Let us know what e-mail program you use and one of you will show how to change there.

  • Error number: 0x800CCC0E in Windows Mail on the attempt to send email following October 2013 automatic Windows update

Immediately following October 10, 2013 Windows Vista update automated - 25 updates is installed on my Toshiba Satellite laptop and HP Pavilion Desktop - cannot send emails from a computer using Windows Mail - they return both the same error message: "failed to connect to server...". "Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10013, error number: 0x800CCC0E".  E-mail can still receive however on both machines.  There is no problem whether the sending of emails minutes before the update took place.  Anyone who has known (and solved) this problem?

Postscript: problem solved - on both my laptop and desktop, I discovered that under Windows Mail > tools > accounts > (my tiscali account) > properties > servers, the entry for the outgoing (SMTP) mail has been entered incorrectly as smpt.tiscali.co.uk.  This change of smtp.tiscali.co.uk solved the problem on both machines.

Windows Mail worked perfectly on both machines immediately before Windows update Oct 10 - so it seems that the update must have corrupted a file to install Windows Mail on my two computers.  Not sure how other users may be affected by this...

    Hello

    ·         Were there any changes to the computer, lately?

    Method 1:

    (a) start the Windows Messaging mail client.

    (b) click on 'Tools' from the main menu and choose "accounts".

    (c) a pop up will appear showing you all the email accounts in Windows Mail. Select the one that gives you the error and then click on the button 'Properties'.

    (d) another window pop up displays all parameters associated with this account.

    (e) under the "servers" tab check the 'e-mail username' and 'password'. One of them would certainly incorrect which translates the ID of Windows Mail error 0x800CCC92

    (f) to avoid having to enter the user name and password each time, check the box in front of "Remember password".

    (g) once you make the appropriate changes, click on the button 'apply' then 'OK'. Close the other pop-up window

Method 2: Remove the existing from Windows mail email account and create a new one following the link provided below.

What's the exact error message?  If this is the case, the most probably cause is analysis of the e-mails. See what is in bold below, and you're better take this option immediately.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email

Note that for many AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option is available.

  • Cannot send mail with windows mail. Get the pop-up Windows security.

Cannot send mail with Windows Mail. Get the pop-up Windows security.

Password and username are all correct. POP and SMTP everything is correct. If I remove all virus blocker, always get Windows security pop up asking for password and username; I type in it and click on the option to remember, but the window appears several times without sending a message. Error message box is empty.
No problem on the end of e-mail servers. Equipped with Windows Vista.
I deleted the Windows Mail disabled account, rebooted with the new account and the same problem.
Can I receive the mail, but Windows Security blocking my attempts to send and don't remember the password and username that I type.
    Help!

This kind of behavior is very often due to antivirus.  You are using.  If its McAfee or Norton get rid of them completely.   There are others who are also incompatible.  Everything you try, make sure that the analysis of e-mail is disabled.   You can also try to repair the database and see if that helps (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  And see also www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

  • Mail server settings change whenever Windows mail is open.

Every time I closed Windows mail (in vista Ultimate edition), and then restart, the incoming and outgoing mail, password and exit default port from a former Executive of a previous hosting company I had set.

I deleted the box mailbox and returned it, but it always changes back the settings I used 12 months ago. Becomes a real pain to reset these things whenever I start windows Messaging.

    Anyone have any ideas?

While waiting for answers from froum network, e-mail and online, check the following?

    1. open Windows Mail > tools > accounts > is the "old account" again on the list? If Yes, 'delete '.

    2. I don't know what you mean by "I deleted the box the letters and he readmitted..." »
My suggestion is to DELETE the account. Start over.
Re-configure e-mail account in Windows Mail.
