Windows Explorer does not view selected for folders
Hello
I want to keep the same view of the folder every time that I have inside. But it seems that Vista has its own mind and prevents the display of the folder according to the content (photos/video/data, etc) of switching details in list of thumbnails, etc...
I don't like it and should not happen.
How can I stop it be done. A user must have control over the way in which he wants to use the folder.
Help, please
Concerning
Open a folder, click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options. On the display tab, make sure you don't forget not the display settings for each folder is selected under Advanced settings (to half way down the list of parameters). If it is already selected, then we need a troubleshooting. William Keener | Blog

Original title: Signature Collision?
I'm having hard to the installation of a second external drive. I use Windows 7 Ultimate RC. There was a WD 1 TB drive My Book already installed - healthy and works very well. The problem occurred after installing a second WD 1 TB my book reader. I followed all the instructions, pluuging the drive to a USB hub. Windows found the disk, installed drivers and reported the new drive ready for use.
Windows Explorer does not see the new drive. Devices and printers shows 2 external drives from WD. Disk Management shows as 2 drives, but the second disk is offline because of a 'Signature' Collision
Each player works very well if it's the only drive plugged in. "Eject My Book" does not work because a program (or more) are to use the player in the background (Windows or Norton).
I installed the latest firmware and I'm still having this problem. I've been emailing WD with this problem and they are running out of ideas.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

Don't click Desktop error "Windows explore does not work.
Original title: Do not click on the desktop.
My desktop computer has worked fine and now all of a sudden I am unable to click anywhere on the desktop. I am running windows 7 64 bit. If I click on the desktop, it will be then to come crash with the message Windows explores does not work then he'll recover. Other differences is that all desktop backgrounds are brighter and it disappears once it restarts, but returned about 5 seconds later. That I can not click once again. Are there any suggestions? I tried to start clean and had no success?
Hi Nicolas,.
I appreciate your efforts to solve the problem.
I suggest you try the procedure described in the article and see if it helps.
Error: Windows Explorer has stopped working
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2694911/en-usNote:
1) data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.2) after the boot minimum troubleshooting step, read the sections "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.
3) when you do the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
4) note that it takes as much time to do the upgrade as to reinstall the operating system. In addition, some of your custom Windows settings may be lost through this process.
Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

Yes, easy to replace the HARD drive.
It takes a HARD drive 2.5 SATA for this laptop. But I recommend that you check the first HARD disk using a tool called Drive Fitness Test... Use google to get this software

Windows Explorer does not (originally worked OK)
Have a new desktop computer from H - P DX2400 running XP Home Edition (6 months). At a given time, after loading new software that Windows Explorer has stopped working. I had loaded quite a few new programs in time, so can not say that it has actually caused this problem. When I double-click on the icon on the desktop or in the start menu, I get an hourglass for a few seconds and then nothing happens.
You can look in Event Viewer for clues that as to what program you have installed is the culprit. Start > Run > eventvwr.msc [OK]. If you do not have this possibility, try to make the boot minimum troubleshooting:

Windows Explorer does not display the ogg metadata
I ripped my CD to OGG (Vorbis) files and the appropriate metadata are included with them (or at least appear in Winamp and iTunes).
But in Windows Explorer, when I look at a list detailed files, the news of the album/artist/etc do not show, the fields are all empty. When right-clicking on the file and selecting 'Properties', it only shows the details of the file (such as the path of folder, update) but has no field at all (not even empty fields) for info related to music.
How can I get these similar areas such as ID3v2 tags for MP3 files, to display OGG Vorbis files?
Thank you.
Hi Suzuki650,Unfortunately, he has no such functionality present in windows to display the ogg metadata, you must have any third-party program to make this option on your computer, to do that you need to use your favorite search engine and search the Internet for the third-party program that integrates this feature.Thank you, and in what concerns:
