Windows Media C00D11B3 error message

I read what you had put online on this error message and went through the process of Network/Options tab/Streaming Proxy Settings / HTTP / Configure / 'use web browser proxy settins' and the problem persists. Where can I disable 3rd party firewalls? How do I do that? If this does not work then what?

Hello

If you have a 3rd party firewall would consult you its help and support to turn it off. A 3rd party
Firewall may be included in McAfee, Norton, AVG, Avast and others generally defined as security
instead of a few antivirus.

You can't have Security Center Windows Firewall - check Contriol Panel (Classic)-
-Click on the right end of the arrow down to the line of Firewall to see which firewall is running.

Control Panel (Classic) - Windows Firewall - upper left corner is to allow a program through the firewall
and turn on or off Windows Firewall.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several problems may be at stake, in addition to the above:

1. the web server that you're trying to connect is offline or the way that it is not active.

2. you must set the proxy settings for the player - Player Windows Media - Tools - Options-
Network tab - the Proxy settings in Streaming - HTTP - configure - the value "use proxy settings of the.
Web Browser"or you can try"auto detect proxy settings. "

3. If 1 and 2 didn't help turn them off or powering down of the firewall and see if you can connect.

I hope this helps.

    Original title: Windows Media Player

Am not able to play music in Windows Media Player to the library after the transfer of music from another computer.  Error message says that I don't have the media usage rights acquisition.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community and we give the opportunity to help you.

    Cause of the error:

Windows Media Player uses Microsoft Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect the rights of content owners who protect their music or video products in this manner. You must have usage rights required to play, burn, or sync protected content.

How to upgrade the DRM license?

By default, Windows Media Player will automatically attempt to acquire the rights of use in silence unless the server requires some input on your part (for example, registration or tax information). You can disable the automatic rights acquisition. In this case, you will be asked to obtain the rights for any new content that requires them. To prevent Windows Media Player from acquiring rights automatically, do the following:

    a. click on the arrow on the now playing tab, and then click Other Options.

    b. click on the Privacy tab, and clear the automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed check.

Please note that this setting affects not acquisition of rights of use of online stores.

    Hi Rajazc,

It seems that the location that the software will search in the installation file has changed or disappeared. You can follow this path that he needs? When you re-installed, did you use the same exact path? You completely uninstall before you try to reinstall? Try this: uninstall the software, do a clean boot, and then reinstall making sure that you set in a different way.
