Windows Media Player 11 - Wrong Information in the database online Album

Hello

I have a CD of Erik Satie in a collection of Piano Classic FM music.

When I insert my CD in the drive and traction in the album of the WMP database information, he chose the bad album. I had a quick glance at all the other many albums of Satie in the database in order to change for the good pair, but he's not here. The version I have is not in the database. Furthermore, I can't just edit the information from another CD, because my CD has 38 tracks and none of the others do it, when I click the button change, it does not give me enough of text fields to use, or on some versions, he gives me too and the art of the album is also wrong.

My question is, how do I add my CD to the database of Satie CD already available for WMP?

When someone inserts this version of Satie in their computer, I want the right information to be extracted from the data base for them also.

Thank you very much

David

I use Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Home Premium OS V..  I was rip CDs to this computer for years without any significant problems and have hundreds of CD in MP3 format in my library of music.  When I recently tried to rip a new batch of CD, the albums were coming all up as 'Unknown' album & artist, "track 1, track 2,... and follow n for the titles of the songs."  After the investigation period, a pop up window would come saying "Windows Media Player cannot download information on the media for this CD... "What has happened to WMP and how to fix it?

HI - the first necessary check is if nothing has changed after a recent update for the media player (you may remember being asked to set your preferences) view of library in WMP go to 'organize' - 'options' and check that internet access is authorized and in the privacy, the "online display media information" tab is checked. If these settings are correct, then we will study more deeply... Thank you - r.

    Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · This occurs when you are working on any specific file format?

    · Were there any changes made on the computer?

    · You play the file in mode full screen?

    Change hardware acceleration

    a. you can try to change the hardware acceleration in the middle and check (you can try another level too.)

    b. right-click on a space empty on the desktop.

    c. go to the resolution of the screen.

    d. click Advanced settings, and then click the "troubleshooting."

    e. set hardware acceleration in the middle. (Here you'll get the only option your video card sound support).

You can also check: you receive an error message of codec or audio plays video but does not play when you play media files in Windows Media Player 11: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926373

  • Windows Media Player, not able to play the media file online

    Windows media player

When I try to play videos online, my Windows media player opens and I see the circle goes round & round, can be buffered, but nothing comes out, no picture or sound.

    Hi frank questions,.

    1. where you can read online videos using Windows media player earlier?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. it happens with all the videos online?

    4. What is the type of internet connection you use?

It's the first time you try to play online videos if due to an internet connection slow or installed on the computer security software.

I'd say temporary you disable the security software on the computer and check if it works.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    I hope this helps!

  • Problems with error Windows Media Player, that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We have a computer that is running Windows 7 and (I think) Windows Media Player 12.  When I start ==> all programs ==> windows media player, the program starts and it seems to work.  It is a work computer, so no video or audio file is saved.

We have an online seminar that the user wants to participate in, and when we click on the link to get the webinar, an error message appears saying that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We use Firefox (version reasonably updated, but do not know which) for internet.

I used the "fix it" tool on the website of Microsoft, but that does not solve anything.  He said it sets some configuration settings.  I thought that maybe uninstall and reinstall it can work, but I can't understand completely uninstall because it isn't in my list of programs in the control panel.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

    Nolan

    (Moved to programs)

Uninstall and reinstall could be done by searching for and opening the option "turn on or off Windows features", but I don't think it will help.

Instead, what you need is a Windows Media Player plugin for your browser (Firefox).

But before you spend effort on it, I would test to see if it's really the solution.  Try to join your webinar with Internet Explorer (where the WMP plugin is built).  If it works, you can be reasonably sure to know how to make it work with Firefox.

You can try this procedure to restore your windows media player.

    (1) Perform SFC first. Follow the link on how to make SFC (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833)

    (2) turn on / off Windows Media Player again.

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on the "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. check the "media features.

    d. restart the computer.

You can also try restore (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore) your computer to the final point where windows media player worked.

Or you can use the previous versions of windows media player that comes from restore points or windows backup.

  • Windows media player does not differentiate between the multiple discs from the same album

    editing by Windows media player

All ripping a pair of compact discs windows libraries program "merges" both folders when I change the title of the album, the artist name, and genre stars, so that the list of songs is 1,1,2,2,3,3 etc. until runway 15 where the first, longest, cd continues to his last runway 23.  It's confusing to me, because I want to be able to label and burn each file separately.
