Windows Media Player 12 play speed settings

In earlier versions of WMP, you can display the default playback speed settings. However version 12, everytime I open WMP, I have to go into the settings of speed reading/improvements. Is it possible to always have this screen?

Thank you

Hello

Can I use windows media player to play mp3 and have the recigition speech to convert to text?

You can get on a conversion of 70% in reading a file in Windows Media Player using something like Dragon Naturally Speaking to convert. If you set the playback speed to slow in Windows Media Player to play > play speed, you will get a better result. The best option is to download the file to an audio transcription service, but which generally costs 0, 50-1, 00 per minute of audio.

    Hi Bbdunford,

O what is the file format?

O if it works well before?

Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.

There might be times, however, when you want to read the content that is compressed with a codec that does not include Windows or the default player. In many cases, you can download the necessary codec on the web for free or for a fee. And, in some cases, the player can automatically use the codecs installed by other reading programs and the creation of digital media on your computer.

You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    1. the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

2 - the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

You can try the steps and check if it makes a difference.

    1. in order to determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On the file tab, look at the sections of video codec and Audio codec.

2 download and install Codecs by clicking on the PLAYER tab and check. To connect to the Internet and automatically download Codecs player

    3. configure the protocol settings

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Network tab.

In the Streaming protocols area, select all the check boxes Protocol.

When connecting to a server running Windows Media Services, Windows Media Player tries to use all selected protocols.

Original title: Windows Media Player cannot play back the video DVD. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings.

I was troubleshooting video playback issues throughout the morning after the reconstruction of a machine with a fresh install of W7 Ultimate, shot a few questions there.

The first and foremost reason I couldn't play THE VIDEOS was due to the ATI Rage video card that was in the machine, proved that this card was not compatible for playback of DVD video on W7.  No problem with the system of video files (.avi, .mpg, .mp4, etc.), only reading DVD.  Disabling this card and media player running with a standard VGA device allowed me to play regular DVD movies very well.

Another question, I stumbled on was with burned copies of the DVD, it turned out that my system DVD players, (2, one is a HP630E and the other is a typical ATAPI DVD DD internal 8 x 16), have a problem with playing movies engraved on DVD - RW discs.  Playing discs DVD-R worked well on this system.

So in your case I try to disable the video device and let the system first use a VGA Standard, if your video plays well then check with the making of video for a updated driver device, saying "you have made any changes" does not mean that the system did not have a bad patch somewhere...

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
