Windows Movie Maker - published project has low resolution

Low resolution when the Director is published

My first Movie Maker project seemed fine until I published on disk and hard drive.  Then it looks like % ^ * (.)   All media, I imported was high resolution preview appears fine, but the published version looks terrible.   ????

Thanks for the reply... This is version 6.0.

Things you might want to check...

1. Please make sure the files that you have imported into movie maker are formats supported by the Director.
Use jpg, png or bmp format for images/photos...
Video clips for... .use WMV (some would say that you are a little more. I use nothing but WMV formats)

2. Director open > tools > Options > advanced...
video format is set to NTSC
Aspect ratio is 4:3

This is as far as I know. Hope they are of little help.

  • Windows Movie Maker Publish Movie

    Hello

I spent hours creating a first year at the video in Windows Movie Maker for my son's birthday tomorrow. I can't publish it on the computer or on a DVD. I'm on a Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit system. I imported AVI and MPG video from a FLIP camera and a Sony digital video camera. I've also embedded JPG photos and audio (from iTunes and Amazon MP3). The total playback time for (in the storyboard table) is a little more than 15 minutes. I am using transitions. I have a lot of hard drive space, close to 30 GB free. I have successfully used my DVD burner in the past... and even with success created a Windows Movie Maker Movie and engraved on a DVD in the past... but this 'film' contained only a video and then just a bunch of pictures.

First of all, I tried to post my new project on the computer but she never completed. I left it overnight and it was still stuck at 20% (or almost) in the morning. Then, I tried DVD edition that opens Windows DVD maker. Yet once it never ends... it gets stuck anywhere from 1.2% to 68.4% with each try... even if it has slowly increased in percentage with each test.

I tried to uncheck all filters under Tools-> Options and actually got a DVD to burn, but all the. Videos AVI were black. The filters that I need to leave for. AVI files continue to work? I also replaced all the music from iTunes with music WMA format files and try to burn another. Now it is stuck again at 67.5%, and I'm guessing that it never ends.

What should I do to get this published thing? I am so disappointed and frustrated... I have hours invested in this thing.

Looks like your project is too complex... and
It is also possible that one or more of your source
files is not completely compatible with Movie Maker.
Sometimes, it can help if you remove transitions.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wmv, wma, wav

  • Windows Movie Maker published Image is different from the preview image

I am using Windows Movie Maker, and the image is different when it is published.  When I imported the media and made the film, he uses 854 x 480 default.  The default value is 720 x 480.  And when the published video is created, I only see about25% of the video on the screen.  I removed media from my sony camcorder.  When I saw the project, everything seems fine, but when it is published, it is where my problem lies.  How should I do?

    Just a few ideas...

In Movie Maker... try to go to... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab.
Uncheck all filters / OK... Now, try to post the video to your
    hard drive.

If this does not work... go to... Tools / Options / Copatibility tab and check...
"Restore all defaults" / OK. Once more try to publish on your
    hard drive.

Still without success... Try the publication in DV - AVI format.

  • Windows Movie Maker lost project

I worked on a WMM project for a week, saving and opening with success every day. Now, I'm going to open and he said: it has not been saved since the first day. Why is this? And how can we recover the last saved version? Help, please

    Hi jimbospurs91,

To restore the previous version of the project file follow these steps:

    1. right click on the file or folder and then click restore previous versions.

    2. click on an item in the list and then click restore.

You will see a list of the available versions of previous of the file or folder. The list includes files saved on backup as shadow copies, if both types are available.

  • What kind of cd/dvd is the best for my video Windows Movie Maker filled and how can I burn it?

OK... I've published my Movie Maker presentation.  It will be presented via a laptop computer and projected.  First of all, what kind of cd/dvd I need?  I know that this information is listed under the HELP section of the Movie Maker program, but what do you propose to help?  AND THEN... How can I do to burn video on cd?  I got to the question re: given dvd vs dvd-video and was confused (sorry... it doesn't take much!).  In my mind, it's a video, but the explanation stated that in this format must then be read via a dvd player.  Finally it can be read that way and it would be nice to have this option, but my goal is now to have played through a computer laptop and projected.  I tried to save it as a video dvd last night, but after almost two hours of "transformation" (my video completed is approximately 3-1/2 minutes), I eventually escape and stop.  Can you guide me through this in simple terms?  Thank you!

DVD-R Virgin should work for you, and you can
burn the video DVD in Windows DVD Maker.

Is there a way to get Windows Movie Maker 6.0 running again? May be able to install it again? There is no code error, all this says is that Window Movie Maker 6.0 has been deleted, but I did not remove it.

Yes, just go to the download site, install Windows Live Essentials > when he offers you the programs to install, just choose Windows Live Movie Maker and nothing else.

  • Image Windows Movie Maker first and second of the published video freezes and fourth framework has no audio or video

    Windows Movie Maker gel

I recorded images with a dazzle capture card.

I converted these images of vob to wmv.

I edited this movie using windows movie maker. The preview of the table of Storyboard works perfectly.

    After having been published,

The first clip freezes at a certain range.

The second does the same thing.

    The third is perfect.

The fourth has no audio or video.

    What is the problem here?

I recorded the images of my xbox to my dazzle card capture to dvd writer.

Each element has been converted at the same time this format .vob with http://convertvobtoavi.com/ (download)

Turn on clips, although even one minute 4 clips seem to freeze at a particular frame after the publication.

It seems that changing the file extension to instead of converting has solved the problem.

  • Cannot publish the movie on Windows Movie Maker

    Hi guys,.

I hope you can help me.
I made a movie using Windows Movie Maker with video, photos, audio and added titles and transitions.
The film lasts about 20 minutes.
The size of the file is 1.31 MB
    I use Windows Vista
All files are in the same place and no display of errors in movie maker
I tried to publish the movie to my external hard drive which had plenty of available memory. After a few hours he failed and returned the error message below.  I then tried to publish it on my desk, which also has a lot of available memory. After a few hours it is again failed. I tried the WMV format. I then tried AVI format on my desk and it has too much, again after many hours.
I get the error message is:
"The video file cannot be published to the specified location. Check that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free space on the disk, and then republish the movie again. »
It took me a long time to collect the material, so I hope someone can help me out!
    Much appreciated!

I use Windows Movie Maker c. 5.1. (Build 2600) on a computer running Windows XP Professional 2002, SP 3. I try to publish a movie file which is a revised version of a WMV file. In other words, the original file is a file WMV is 534 MB.  I am editing the film by dividing and by deleting scenes, adding transitions and titles.  I am able to save the file (for a WMM file) but impossible to publish the movie.  I checked that (i) the files are in the correct location, (ii) the file does not exceed the limit of 4 GB, (iii) the destination does not exist (I tried everything from my desktop to video files).  I tried every possible resolution and the file type.

I would change the software of movie at this point if I had not invested so much energy and time behind this project.  Help, please!

    Hello not happy with WMM,

One thing you might try is breaking your video into 3 or 4 smaller sections and see if they work / will be published separately.
