Window Movie Maker 6.0 problem

I installed Windows Live Essentials, which has installed Windows Live Movie Maker. However, for this reason, he left my Windows Movie Maker 6.0 deleted or unable to work. Is there a way to get Windows Movie Maker 6.0 running again? May be able to install it again? There is no code error, all this says is that Window Movie Maker 6.0 has been deleted, but I did not remove it.
Thank you

> If I remove windows live Director, and at a later date if I need, can I reinstall?

Yes, just go to the download site, install Windows Live Essentials > when he offers you the programs to install, just choose Windows Live Movie Maker and nothing else.

RE: Windows Movie Maker found.

(You are using Vista, do you?)
Start > computer > right click on drive C: (system disk) > click on open > scroll to the program file > open it > scroll to Movie Maker > open it > you'll findMOVIEMK.exe ?
If Yes, your Windows Movie maker. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

    Hi eragon787976,

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Windows Movie Maker & DVD Maker stop responding when you import a .avi file

    Help, please.

The two Windows Movie Maker DVD Maker & allow me to import .avi files I ask, but then I get a message that the program has stopped working. I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I a novice in computer science.

    Thank you.

    Tommy

    Hello

    ·        Have you been able to import before avi files to your Windows movie maker and the creation of DVD?

    ·        You are able to import another file without any problem format?

Try to import another file type (format) and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

Damaged codec is often a cause of crashes with Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker.

If possible, use a program to convert your Windows Media movies first and then try to import it.

    Step 2:

If the movie maker was working properly before, I suggest you to reset the windows movie maker settings. Follow the steps in the article mentioned below.

    Hi Michaelle1,

    ·          You did it of any material changes or software on the computer before this problem?

    ·          Do you have any third party media player and codec installed on your computer?

Temporarily uninstall them if you have any third-party media player installed on your computer and check if you are able to import files video .mov in Windows Movie Maker.

Secondly, if you have any third-party codec player installed temporarily uninstall them and check.

To uninstall codec and third-party multimedia player, you can use the Windows Cleanup utility.

Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from this link:

  • Windows Movie Maker audio/video synchronization problems

I am changing a video on Windows Movie Maker (5.1), and when I cut a piece of the file clip and trimmed other part beside him, some delay seconds started with the change. Only, it starts at one point and continued for the rest of the video. I need to solve this problem, and I'm terrible with computers. Can someone help me sort whatsoever?

It would be a massive help!

    Something to try...

For the timeline... trying to drag a second instance
video on the audio / music.

Right click / Mute the Audio track.

You can drag the file to the audio / music
left or right then maybe you can synchronize audio
    with the video.

When you use Windows Movie Maker 5.1 to capture video from my Panasonic PV-GS39 DV camera, audio is 15 seconds ahead of the video.  Anyone know what is the cause or how to fix it?  No other programs are running at the time of the capture.

    Windows Movie Maker 5.1
    Windows XP Service Pack 3

It is difficult to say why Windows Movie Maker would be to have this problem, but my recommendation would be to eliminate it from the video capture process. There is an excellent free program called WinDV you can use to capture video on your computer, then you can change using Windows Movie Maker, once the capture is complete. Video capture questions can be exasperating. Along with other instructions of troubleshooting, I explain why you might want to use WinDV in a tutorial on video troubleshooting.

  • Windows movie maker problem: video cut or turns off

I have windows vista on my computer and I tried to use the windows movie maker program to make a music video.  the video I got was originally in MP4 format so I used Format Factory to convert WMV (I also did AVI).  for some reason when I'm working on the video images goes off and I can't see the stage.  Sometimes I get the picture but most of the time I don't have.  I also tried to use AVI format but the problem is always the same.

I read and I think it would be that the resolution could be the problem, if so, how can I change that on Format Factory?
It could also be that Format Factory is perhaps not good enough, are there other free conversion programs I could use?
other than that, I don't know why the image freezes (music plays again)
any kind of help will be greatly appreciated!

Format Factory is a good converter but I also
