My restore partition is removed. How to get it back. because I cannot reset my laptop factory settings!

Hi @S_Palash,.

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read about your recovery deleted partition.

You did it as recommended recovery disks, when you first bought your laptop?

I'd be happy to help you if necessary because there are many models of HP laptops, I would need the model number. How can I find my model number or product number?
Please respond with an operating system that you are running:
Operating system Windows am I running?

When I'm on the HP Recovery Manager screen I want to do a factory restore, but it says (disabled: recovery Partition is removed) but when I check the partitions on my laptop, there is a partition that says RECOVERY (D and Local disc (C.)) How can I do a factory restore?

Ok. Sorry to hear that you did not have serial or usb disk recovery recovery media.

This means that, unfortunately, in your case, than to buy a set of HP or send to drive hard reimage is your less expensive options.

It would be wise to buy a set of recovery disks or to ask if an instant multimedia usb HP rcovery disc is available for your laptop.  At least this way, you would be not dependent on any other repair of your PC. You could do it yourself after reading a tutorial or watch a video on using the recovery media.

Just to be clear, the problem is with my Recovery partion only.  Win 7 in main boot works fine.

Suggestions to fix or repair, please?

Don't know what else to suggest other than using recovery discs to reinstall. If you have recovery disks, the recovery partition is not really necessary, more a convenience than using disks, that's all.

  • Recovery environment is not found

My Dell place 8 Pro 3845, 32GB, Windows 8.1 with Bing with a 64GB memory card runs more space on C: drive.
My OS partition (C :) is 20 GB and only 4% is free. I have very few applications installed and no personal files on C drive.
A few days ago I had 5 GB free. I have upgraded to Windows 10 during the night that apparently didn't and the tablet in the morning, I notified that it had restored Windows 8.1. Unfortunately now my C drive everything is complete, only 4% left. I looked at all the big files, but could not find. I downloaded Windows 10 on the memory card.

I cleaned my disk of temporary files, but not much where found to clean. I tried to restore Windows but it fails with the message "cannot find the recovery environment. When I look at the restore partition I see its 100% free, so my restore is gone. I never did a cover on this tablet.

What can I do to free up space on the partition of the OS?

Any way I can use the partition restore or OS, or at least a recovery image put?
How do I move forward and create a new recovery image? When I use the Windows tool called 'Create a recovery drive' I get the error message "we cannot create a recovery on this PC drive. Since I have Windows with Bing, I can't create a recovery using another PC image, given that the tool (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) do not allow to create images for WIndows with Bing.

I managed to remove the recovery partition and add it to my C partition. In any case it was useless because I couldn't restore. Then I downloaded Win 10 on a usb key and installed. This helped me after installation to remove the old windows (put it in a folder called Windows.old when you upgrade). 10 win stopped working for me after some update had to reinstall it again. After I had no problem, except the camera works sometimes. Also, using Win 10 you can no longer use OneDrive app, it will download all locally, most no download on request option to win 10.

  • Error of reconstruction recovery environment

I completely formatted and installed Windows 8.1 and upgraded to Windows 10. And today, I have installed Dell backup and restore. After I clicked on the system backup in the backup menu it says that

"We have detected that your recovery environment is missing or damaged. You want to rebuild it for you now.

So I clicked Yes and its closure. A new window opens called Dell backup and restore, and said

"Prepare the recovery environment - error".

I don't know if I had a recovery before partition. But why can't create a.

    HELPPPPP PELASE.

Finally, I created the recovery environment. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled. He opened. He opens two windows. I left the computer on the whole night and in the morning, it was completed. And now I can access.

I think that it will work for you also.

  • Cannot use the mouse and the keyboard in the recovery environment

I finally got my PC at work in lieu of my GPU. However, when I try to start my PC, he recommended that I use the repair of the system. When I try to boot normally, it hangs for a second then crashes and restarts at 'Starting windows' screen Try to boot in safe mode results in the PC hanging from the "CLASSPNP. SYS driver", crashing and restarting as start normally. Autour for a little googling told me that the way to fix is to go to the repair of the system and either rename the 'CLASSPNP. SYS"through the command prompt, or by using a system restore. Problem is that my keyboard and mouse do not work in the recovery environment, because she saw no USB 3.0 driver and my PC with only USB 3.0 struggling (I have a motherboard MSI Z170A PC COMPANION). I tried another keyboard and an adapter USB to PS2, or worked, or don't have crippling legacy USB in BIOS work. I ordered this (https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Motherboard-Header-Adapter-USBMBADAPT2/dp/B002GNU2V6) for the delivery of a Home Depot. It's supposed to go where the power of front for the USB 2.0 cable is supposed to be plugged into the motherboard. Unfortunately, when I put in motherboard and plugged the keyboard and mouse, it still does. I'm doing something wrong?

My PC has been broken for over 2 months, I don't want something as pesky as it's the thing that keeps him from working again.

    Discovered how to fix

I activated "Installation of Windows 7" in the BIOS and it worked

Could someone give me the route and the name of the exe so I can try to run it manually?

It's called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator

  • Re: How to access the Windows Recovery Console?

How can I access the Windows Recovery Console. The State of KBs Microsoft it may be accessessed to start with the DVD of the OS. However, you provide OS DVD only Toshiba recovery disks. When I boot them it gives only the option to erase all data and restore the original state.

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio F10 running Windows 7 32 bit.

The reason why I need the recovery console is due to a breakdown of chkdsk which results now it running whenever I start up and hanging each time. Other Articals MS say I can get out of this infinite loop by using the Windows Recovery Console.

Are you sure you have Qosmio F10?

  • What happens to my windows recovery 7 (d) when I do a "clean install" to win 8

What happens to my windows recovery 7 (D on my HP Pavilion p6610f PC when I perform a "clean" Windows 8 install?)

"Nothing happens" to the "D:\". "Partition recovery, except if you choose to delete or format during the installation of Windows 8. Note, however, that you will not be able to use the recovery directly from the screen of the BIOS partition / boot and inside Windows 8. Some have been able to 'mark' the 'active' partition and restart that should cause the system run the Recovery Manager. Your best bet is to make sure that you create your HP recovery disks prior to installing Windows 8.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about wanting to restore your PC to its original Win8.1 and wanted to help.

You mention having a DVD but the HP Recovery Kit consists of at least three DVDs, not one.  So what it the DVD and where did you?

Ask because on the recovery HP Kit will restore your PC to its original state.  IF you have a DVD Win8x of Microsoft, who can install, but it will not activate because it will take a product key for sale at retail, and your PC came with a HP OEM product key.

We can proceed once you provide the information.

    Thank you

  • Laptop HP 17 p100: how the usb flash drive big that I have to create a system of 10 Windows Recovery?

How the big usb flash drive do I need to create a system of 10 Windows Recovery?

    Yes

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

There is really no way accurately guess in advance, with one of the reasons being that the options are available when you do this.  An option creates a recovery drive minimum with what is needed to repair the operating system.  Another option creates an image that is able to completely restore the operating system and its partition.  Thus, the size can vary from 4 GB to the size of the partition to the OS.

Myself, I found as build-in recovery to be unreliable, especially those of Ms.  So instead, I use a third-party imaging/restoration solution known as Macrium Reflect.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

My experience is that SIR, when you use the option of Compression high, typically allows to compress the image file recorded at about 50% of the space USED in the OS partition.  This means that if you have a 40GB and 80GB OS partition is used, MR must only about 20 GB to store the image file.

I use all the time and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to make the backup of the image and at the same time or less do a restore.  In addition, MR has the ability to add a recovery Boot Menu entry.  This then allows you to boot into Windows re, and then you can use it to do a restore - when you cannot start Windows!

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.
