Windows Resume loader

I turned on my Gateway laptop today and I get a black screen that says Windows resume Loader

and he asked me to choose between:

1. continue with system summary

2 Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

I don't know even what to choose or how impact either.

I can happen when the machine was put into hibernation and there was a power failure. You can try the option, the hiberfil.sys file might still be there.

From Darrell Gorter:

The resume loader system is used when returning from hibernation. When the system boots, it checks if the computer has been paused extended or not.
If he was put in hibernation, winresume.exe load and try to mount the hiberfil.sys file. Hiberfil.sys is what has been stored in memory at the time that the unit has been in hibernation. When WinResume attempts to load the hiberfil.sys, it fails (the hiberfil.sys file may be corrupted) so it is asking if you want to remove this hiberfil.sys and start normally, do not attempt to resume from hibernation. It loses any active data that has been stored in this file and not anywhere else. For example, an application that has been opened which gave in it which was not a nullity share also recorded on the computer when the device was put into hibernation.
Thank you
Darrell Gorter [MSFT]

I hope I could help

  • Windows Resume Loader black screen on HP Pavilion dv4-2145 dx laptop Windows 7

    I have a HP Pavilion dv4-2145 dx laptop with Windows 7. After pressing the button "on", the logo operation windows says its "recovery" windows, but a black screen titled "Windows Resume Loader" appears with the following message:

    The last attempt to resume the system from its previous location failed. Attempt to resume again?

    With the 2 following options:

    1. continue with system summary, (which does not work and I end up with the resumption of the "Windows" followed a blank black screen...)

    2 Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu (I haven't ' truei stops because I wasn't sure what that meant)

    But I managed to go to the reviews section diagnostic systems and it seems that he pass all 5 of the test, including hard drive and memory, poster, etc. So I don't know what the problem...

    Please notify.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

    I think that in this case, you will have to choose the second option - "Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu" and see if that fixes the problem.  If all etc. documents you had open before hibernation were saved, then you should not lose anything.  If there are unsaved changes (for example if you have added to a document), the file will be to the point that his last record and you lose additional data.

    Using a Dell Dimension, reinstalled Vista Home Premium 32 Bit SP1 3 months ago. Stop last Nite and this morning after re-booting screen goes to Windows resume Loader and my keyboard doesn't let me choose or do anything else. I've seen this on other forums, but never an answer. Good thing, I have a laptop with XP on it... ;-)

    Need instructions on what to do to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Hi soleiltan2,

    You can access advanced startup options? Follow these steps:

    1. reboot your computer, because it begins to start back press on and hold down F8

    2. it brings you to the Advanced Boot Options screen

    If you were able to get to the Advanced Boot Options screen, continue to the third step, if not ignore her and let us know so that we can try other things.

    3. in the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last known good Configuration, and then press enter

    If you have a dual boot aka two OSs on your computer, or for more information about the last good known Configuration, have a look at the link below:

    Hello

    I suggest to boot from Windows Vista DVD and run the Startup Repair tool and check.

    Startup Repair: corrects some problems, such as missing or damaged system files that may prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.

  • Stuck on Windows Resume Loader quick screen with USB keyboard, so I can't answer

    Windows Vista has not recovered to sleep, so I turned off computer and rebooted.  Now, I get the message Windows resume Loader

    "The last attempt to resume the system from its previous location failed. Attempt to retake?  Continue with the system summary or remove data restoration and menu system start-up. "

    I have a USB keyboard so I can't use the arrow keys, or enter key, so it's just sitting there. My computer has no PS/2 keyboard entry. I tried to hit the F8 key on startup (as well as the F12), but I can't get another screen. How to answer the question with a USB keyboard?

    Found the solution. Keyboard has been plugged into the USB port on the monitor.  Cable keyboard switched to the USB port on the computer, and then click keyboard worked, so I could answer the question. I chose "Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu."  Everything works fine now.

  • Automate Windows resume Loader

    Power failure... power lights and the computer boots... power off towers... computer, boots and then waiting for user input on the screen "Windows resume Loader.

    "The last attempt to resume the system from its previous location failed.  Attempt to resume again?

    Continue with the system summary

    Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

    Is there a way I can tell Vista to try the option 'Continue with system summary' and if that option fails, then automatically execute "Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu" option automatically. Thank you.

    Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. I will just turn off put into hibernation and use sleep instead.

  • Black screen of Windows RESUME Loader

    I use Windows Vista on a laptop Everex NC1510.  When I try to start it I get a black screen titled "Windows resume Loader.  When I said "Continued with the summary of the system" and press the Enter key to select this option, nothing happens.  The computer continues to be stuck on this screen.  I bought a new computer, but it's out of warranty.  I have misplaced the Windows restore disc (in fact I don't ever remember have one).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Here is the info on the recovery media, as you say that you do not have a Vista disc.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Problem with keyboard windows resume loader

    Hello

    I have Windows 7 and somehow got a resume issue of windows magazine.  Only problem is that I can't use the keyboard (none of the keys work) to select all options, so can not go further.  Turn on/off the computer is not helped either.

    Tried the keyboard wireless and wired, as well as unplugging all other devices USD.

    Thanks Ajay

    None of the above worked.  I've got Watson am went & bought a PS/2 keyboard and allowed me to select one of the options "windows resume loader".  From there on, it was easy.

  • Message "Windows Resume Loader".

    Periodically, I get the following message when waking up my notebook to sleep:

    Windows resume loader. Your system memory configuration has changed since entering the hibernation. If you continue, the data necessary for the recovery from hibernation will be lost. To keep these data, turn off the system, restore the original memory configuration and then restart the system. Otherwise, press to delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu. Delete the restoration and proceed to system boot menu.

    I don't know what all this means. If I wait too long to act the screen begins to blink with a Green Grid in the background and the laptop becomes unresponsive (hang). When this happens, the only solution is to press the button for a few seconds (off) then turn it back on. It sometimes takes more than one power off cycle to resume normal operation.

    Any help will be much appreciated

  • Dimension E521, windows resume loader, USB keyboard does not?

    I have a Dimension E521. When it starts up (windows 7 32 bit) happens to "resume the windows loader. I can't choose option I have a USB keyboard that does not start. Why is there no PS/2 port on the back of my office?

    Thank you
    Jill

    PS/2 ports have gone in the way of the dodo bird.

    Have you had a power failure or not stop correctly?

    Have you tried another USB port at the back of the Tower?

    Try to restart, and then press F2 before Windows starts to load to open the BIOS Setup. Search all the USB settings and make sure that they are all enabled. Save the changes before you exit the installer and see if you can deal with the problem of charger now.

    If this does not work, try this:

    1. If you can enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2, copy all the current BIOS settings
    2. Power off, unplug
    3. Power button press / hold for about 15 seconds
    4. Open the case and remove the motherboard battery
    5. Power button press / hold for about 30 seconds
    6. Replace the battery (use a new if it is old)
    7. Case of close and reboot and see if you can solve the problem of charger now

    It's the Toshiba forums, I should have here tried everything first... but can someone PLEASE help me?

    Hello

    Using Win 7?
    Usually the Win 7 and Vista as well supports some repair options.
    Start Notepad, press F8, and then choose the first option called fix my computer.
    There you should find some settings of repair.

    I worst case you could recover the laptop using a HARD drive recovery option (located in the repair of my computer if available) or you can use your Toshiba Recovery disk to reinstall the operating system.

    Hello

    You has made changes to the system before the error appearing?  Cancel the changes.

    (1) in Device Manager > right click on the driver, and then select uninstall

    Reboot and Windows will reload the driver

    (2) remove the upper & lower filters that cause errors in Code 31

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/UpperFilters-LowerFilters.htm

    Access the manufacturer's Web site and search for updated driver
