Windows security - these files can be harmful

Recently, this annoying pop up has been appearing everytime I try to open some shortcuts or move a file/shortcut to another folder. It has never happened before and has only recently begun. I'm not on a home network or something similar, I have reset the settings of internet explore (even though I never touched it). I also tried to enter a command prompt to restore the integrity level way, everything and nothing works. How can I get rid of this pop up, and what may have caused it?

I would be grateful for any help on this problem.
Thank you
Jean-Marie Ilakkiyan
P.S This warning of 'Security' is a not warned me of "potential threats" before, and it even appears for some very safe and verified files.

Edit: Found a fix:

Looking for a 'false' desktop folder in C:\users\yourname\favourites. Right click > properties > location > move to and select the 'REAL' office located in C:\users\yourname folder.

Hello

1. what security software is installed on your computer?

2. do you have active Windows Defender?

3. did you of recent changes to the computer before this problem?

4. What if the problem occurs with all the shortcuts?

This could be the work of the security software installed on your computer.

Since you do not know that the files are safe, the best option here is to disable windows defender if it is enabled and all other security software that are installed on the computer temporarily and perform the operation again.

For Windows Defender, see article below.

Enable or disable the Windows Defender
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off

Note: Be sure to activate security software once you have completed the steps above.

It might be a virus infection, of security Microsoft Scanner or use the antivirus installed on your computer completely software scan the computer and check if it detects anything.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

    Hi MAMARDA,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue so that we can better help you.

    (a) what version of Windows 7 use you?

    (b) what is the exact error message you are getting?

Method 1: You can also try to perform a file system (scan SFC) verification tool. This tool will fix the system files are corrupted.

    Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

    5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

    11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Method 2: If this is a recent problem that has developed you can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next

    4. click on finish

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

For more information, please follow the below given link:

How to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

Method 3: you can try to start safe mode and restore the system, if you are unable to do it in normal mode.

For a safe boot, you can follow the below given steps:

    1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    2. do one of the following:

    a. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

    b. If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

When you are in safe mode, follow the steps mentioned above to complete the restore of the system.

    Hope the helps of information.
Please post back and we do know.

Photos modified in Photoshop then saved, PhotoShop or Mac doesn't give the photo a file extension, and these files can not reopened.

I use a mac with PhotoShop CC and have experienced a problem during the recording of pictures once I've retouched in Photoshop. If I open a RAW or DNG file in camera RAW, or a TIF or JPG created in Lightroom in Photo and then change the file, everything looks OK. When I came to save the RAW as a TIF or JPG, or a TIF or JPG saved previously, or DNG PhotoShop or Mac file does not give a picture of a file extension.

These files cannot be reopened by myself in PhotoShop to be re-edited or opened by someone, I send the photos to use them or for them to print. Also, when I try to load these pictures on a website they are not recognized and rejected. Adobe Bridge recognizes the file in the format that I saved and saved in the metadata window file format, but does not show a file extension.

So far to solve the problem I had to export the file with the < file > < Export > function, otherwise I do not use PhotoShop like my photo editor. Export gives the file saved a file extension.

I use a Pro-impression who explained I had sent her one of these files without file extension and it is not able to open, edit, print, or save the file. My printer also explained that he experienced this problem on several other occasions.

Can Adobe indicate what changes you made and how to overcome this problem please?

The content of these files can be deleted?

In the Finder, and then to the library I have two files, one is called caches and cookies to others.  What is inside them can be deleted?

I have an iMac running macOS Sierra 10.12.

    Thank you

    Select this option.

There are actually several 'library' files in the Finder and it is better that you don't mess with them.  Most browsers have ways to delete the cookies in the browser itself and adjusting the size of browser cache.  Caches speed up the operation of the computer, and unless you have a specific problem, you have not and should not, remove them.  At best he probably will do nothing, and at worst you may have to reinstall your operating system.

  • For 'Post online', these files can be exported to another server?

    Hello

I'm about to create a newsletter for a client (print version), and they want an online version. The feature to publish online looks great and works great, but my client wants to host the files on their server and not only on the Adobe server. Y at - it an option to publish the files to another server? The only alternative I could think was "Save as web page complete" on the web page so that all the files/folders should be saved in a folder, but that did not work.

I need to let my client know immediately what the options are so I hope someone can answer this as soon as possible. This question has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer. The "Export as html" option since InDesign is not the answer, but publish it online works fine, just can't find out how to get these files to another server. Thank you!

Right now you can have documents published online on Adobe servers.

The documents cannot be protected, which may not be important for a society newsletter.

They can be viewed by any browser on any device and can include InDesign interactivity

  • Internet Explorer says that hpqsrmon stopped working properly.went to download the update and a warning that this file type can potentially harm my computer... Please advise what I need to do

Solutions and problem reports is saying that hpqsrmon has stopped working properly... I went to download the update and received a warning that this file can potentially harm my computer... Please advise should I run this update...

If you get the warning on the download of an update of HP and IE tries to run the file, as long as you get the file directly from HP, it should be safe to run this file.

According to this link, hpqsrmon is part of the HP PhotoSmart. You can also try to go to the HP support site, the model of your HP to input product, then download the latest drivers associated with your version of Windows.

Once you do this there is a chance that the error will disappear, as the current version may be affected by a bug that has since been fixed by HP in their software.

  • Windows updates store files systems to storage drives

Both at work and at home, some windows updates (most recent xps prntr drvrs and maintenance windows Setup API) save files in places other than the HD systems. At work, that this is of particular concern because we express limited the size of the bootable hd (system disk) in order to reduce the size of image to backup an hour. With the files added to much larger data drives, the concern is if cela will impact features in windows if these files are not too graphic. We do not have the time or storage space to make all these whenever updates away from their appointed readers...

    Thanks, in advance

Windows Update download installers of updates on the drive with the most free space. Try disconnecting all external disks before you download an update.

Alternatively, you can delete the installer manually after the updates were installed.

IIRC, the difference in behavior for CTRL + ALT + DELETE depends on whether you have the screen of welcome (and with fast user switching).
