  • Installation of Vista SP1 with Windows Disk

My computer (hp slimline s3773w) would never let me install the sp1.  I bought from a disk to install the sp1, but I him did not because of too much to lose.  What would be the best way to get sp1 is installed on my computer.  This is the full version of windows vista and not an upgrade.

I wouldn't use the disc to do this.  I would download SP1 from Microsoft to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/bb738089.aspx and simply download and install it.  Until you do, run Windows update to make sure you're ready for Sp1 and up to date.  Once you have installed SP1 and updates with Windows Update - then and there will be a lot more and download and install them as well.  When you are finished you can then download and install SP2 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a4dd31d5-f907-4406-9012-a5c3199ea2b3&DisplayLang=en.  Once done, yet once run Windows unsuccessfully to catch up on what youv'e missed since SP2 has been relased and then you should be completely up to date.

    I hope this helps.

Hi all, this fixed my problem, shame it was not documented anywhere!

Delete the file mediaCenterDataStore.db. By default, this file is located in the following location: %SYSTEMDRIVE%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.db

To remove the file, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and then click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type run and then click OK
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    (c) in the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and then click OK.

    d. in the details, click pane right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.

    e. click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.

They will be safe to remove, however if you are not sure. Just make a new folder on your desktop called BackupofFiles and then move them to here. Leave it a few days and if everything works ok, delete them.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. Always the same problem "network unsuccessful installation.

I'm looking forward to advice on how to solve the problem.

I rebooted the router and re-installed the driver. Network installation has always fails. So I ran the Print utility and doctor Scan. Printing and scanning doctor found that the driver was not installed and advised me to download the driver from the HP site package Support & drivers.

I downloaded and installed by using the downloaded driver package. The installation was interrupted by a Win32 exception:

I installed the driver once more (without uninstalling), now with SUCCESS! My Photosmart 6510 is now running.

  • G62 notebook: G62 notebook - recovery of unsuccessful attempt to upgrade to Windows 10

    HP G62x - 400 CTO laptop

    Windows 7 Home premium

I tried to update your Windows 10. At the end of the process, I got an error message saying that the upgrade has failed. I thought - so I'm back to Windows 7 and it's OK. But now I get frequent error messages telling me that the various "points of entry" can not be found on DLL files that seem in Windows 10 ONLY. How can I get rid of the problem?

    Thank you for your help.

The parition of recovery being present is not enough for the function HP Recovery works - as Win10 corrupts the things inside of this partition, or change the alignment of the partition - no problems you will be able to see.

If F11 does not work, it's a sign of corruption.
