Windows Update 07:52 pro

I have a computer with Windows 8. You need to add to the field so going to 8 pro. Have a volume license key do the upgrade with that key but continues to say "it won't work" what am I hurt? With the help of the MAK key which she, I have 50 of.

Tried to do the upgrade with Windows 8 Pro install update did not work either. Don't know what the steps are to achieve.

Unfortunately, add features does not work with volume license Windows Pro 8, only the retail Windows 8 Pro or Pro Pack in Windows 8. Your best option is to do a custom installation.

  • How can you fix bloating C:\Windows size from Windows Update on Win7 Pro Master Image?

My C:\ drive is 57.4 GB.

    For the most part,.

    C:\Windows to 43.6 GB

    -C:\Windows\Installer to 21.3 GB

    -C:\Windows\winsxs to 12.2 GB

I ran disk cleanup and deleted all unnecessary applications, but there is no stopping the two folders mentioned above grow.

I don't have a lot of space on my SAN but it is going to be far to Microsoft to stop the update of Windows to just keep piling up the C drive. The smallest drive C will also improve the performance of the VDI desktop.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - problems with WiFi after Windows update 8.1

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could give some advice on a problem I have.

Had an adjustable C850 Pro for a few months and worked well on Windows 8.
I myself am then harassed and intimidated by Microsoft Update in order to install Windows 8.1 and in a moment of weakness, I succumbed (got sick of the nagging).

Since that time, my wifi is very intermittent; either I'm on another computer write this and the laptop is essentially not connected to the internet.

For some reason any (although I didn't try it before), I can not connect via ethernet either, so I think it's probably the driver problems. (I also tried to connect the public wifi but fails).

I tried to install the driver WiFi Toshiba 8.1 but that has not solved the problem.
Then I noticed that I'm supposed to install a bunch of drivers in the order.

Maximum setting to do it, but the first package (associated with bluetooth) said I have to remove the current driver... I try by "turning off", then "Uninstall" but 8.1 seems to re - install automatically and I don't know how to disable this option (I can try to delete the driver file, I guess, but I'm sure 8.1 covered too and will probably launch a drone to try me out ", if I do). *

Any kind soul there suggestions on a way forward? Pls.

I see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now. :(

    Hello

    > I don't see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now
All your problems with the Windows 8.1 update related to the fact that you have not upgraded the Windows 8.1 system as recommended by Toshiba.

    Details:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

    Solution?
Back to Windows 8 (reset the system back to factory settings)
Then, install all updates and patches for Windows 8 and follow along with the upgrade of system as described on the Toshiba Windows 8.1 upgrade page

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver, you will find all the instruments that must be installed in the correct order and Windows 8.1 driver!

Newly installed OS - everything seems to work fine, except for the shot without end to WIndows update... Verification of updates. Apparently, this affects the update of Windows 10 as well. Someone at - it ideas? I tried all the options via the site help MS. Merci.

    Greetings,

    Please read this.

You can wait patiently (updates will appear later) or there is a problem in the article.

You need to reinstall Windows for the fix. Your PC must be isolated from the network when reinstalling windows. You need to download both updates and install before connecting your PC to the network.

I used the fix of Ed Bott and it works. But I reinstalled Win 7 again. I wasn't going to wait for hours and hours to get the security updates.

You can try to install these updates on the problematic installation of Win 7:

    1. apply the Microsoft patch found here. Disconnect from the network.

    2. install the two updates in offline mode and cross your fingers.

    3. repeat on Windows Update.

    See you soon!

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A200GE-26. It has a core 2 duo T7200, running vista 32 provided with the computer (now sp1).

Windows Update offers me the following optional update: 'TOSHIBA TOSHIBA - other hardware - x 64 compatible ACPI value logical and general-purpose device' but I am concerned that at present in Device Manager, the computer is listed as "ACPI x 86 based pc.

Does anyone know why windows update offers this for me and if I install it?

    Thanks for any help!

This update is available for all units of Core2Duo.
As you already wrote it is optional, and you must not install it. If you use original recovery image Toshiba you have no need for the functionality of the laptop. Using the recovery image or you have installed your own OS?

Repost: What were the problems you are experiencing that you thought that a "new facility" could solve?

The foregoing notwithstanding, and since you neglected to install an antivirus application...

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

  • Where can I find and download Windows XP Pro to repair my "Windows Update by default places"?

I'm unable to receive Microsoft updates. Fix Windows - it says: "the default Windows update locations have changed and must be repaired. For change to repair windows update locations for window by default parameters". So I ran ' sfc/scannow' in the command prompt, it says I have and missing or corrupt files and I need to insert my XP Professional cd-rom to correct. My XP Pro CD has been lost long ago. I have Internet Explorer 8 on my system. Here is some info on my computer system. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

You can run checkdisk from a command prompt, but it would be better to burn Hiren's boot cd a copy or burn a bootable cd with the recovery on her console.

    Open the cmd prompt

type chkdsk c: /r press on enter

type y for Yes, press enter

    Type exit press on enter

    restart the pc

It is a long process, percentages fluctuate, it is normal, let checkdisk finish

If errors were found and corrected then run again until no error

You can view the report in the event viewer.

go to start, run, type eventvwr.msc and click ok

in the event viewer go to the application directory by clicking on applications in the left pane

in the right pane, scroll to Winlogon and double-click

After this do the following please:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

You can change the personal information.
