  Hi, recently on my HP Pavilion dv2000 running windows vista family mobile premium, I had several problems. One of them is when I try to use windows update, try to update the following:

  And it breaks down and I get the following three errors:

  I'm not sure what more information is needed to provide help in my situation but the ill mention, that I was not able to uninstall all of the recent programs, which leads me to believe there is some sort of error with install shield, and also as well as not being able to update by using windows update , my 2012 free AVG has not been able to update or the other and get error codes. So yes im having pc problems and would appreciate any help. Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful.

  1. You are not able to install updates?
  2. What anti-virus software is installed on the computer?
  3. Why do you want to do a system restore? Do you get A 80071, 91 and 800F0922 errors when you are restoring the system or Windows updates?

  To troubleshoot windows update problem designate as follows:

  Method 1:

  Disable all security, including windows Firewall software, then check if it solves the problem.

  I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed, after the time of my last updated 31/7, my windows update has stopped working, and no so Windows defender and firewall.  Firewall gives me error 0x6d9. Defender gives me 0 x 80070424.  Update Windows to 7.31 was an update of the Defender, however, windows update will not give me the option to uninstall this update because the Defender has completely disappeared from the prompt that allows you to choose which puts up-to-date to uninstall. Is it possible to manually remove somewhere else?

  I ran SFC/scannow and I WAB32res.dll has been altered, so I copied the file on my windows 7 CD for 64 Professional (from program files/common files) and copied and replace my program.files/common files one.  I restarted the SFC and the same error occurred.  I had 5 errors like this:

I just tried the cmd together all the steps listed and does still no update. The codes will tell you to go to intel, then intel tell you to go to Toshiba toshiba said its microsoft? IM so confused.   I have a laptop of old P750 for 2 months, after they need to do a restore to a disk upward, I now get the above error.
  I then decided to do a cover of toshiba with a clean install and still get the same result of windows update is not not able to connect to the server.

  I tried everything I can find this error, including the verification of the proxy settings for WU, reset the proxy via CMD prompt settings.

  I noticed something interesting while control validation using microsoft MGA diagnostic tool, where windows has been listed as a hat, but note some reports as:

  Validation code: 0
  LegitCheckControl: N/a, hr = 0 x 80070002
  signed: n/a, hr = 0 x 80070002

  My understanding is the way to 0 x 80070002 he couldn't connect identical to WU or that files are missing.

  I have rebuilt that recommended such c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution records, turned off all firewall, removed antivirus / software malware but still no luck.

  It seems funny how the same thing happens even after a clean drive toshiba recovery.
