Windows updates are classified as usage?

My ISP charge me extra if I exceed 15 GB. Windows updates are classified as usage?

Don't have to give a grumpy response. Just thought you might know :>(

What is in a bad mood?  I pointed out that you should ask.  Simple and without any emotion.

I think it's a reasonable question to ask why you would think that you need here on the bandwidth of your Internet service provider strategies... Maybe they got you, etc.  It never hurts to know why someone wants to know something - because maybe you can actually get to the root of their problem if you find out why they have the problem.

Also - I doubt your worries ISP that the traffic is... in / to your modem traffic is traffic. necessary for you or not.  How do they even know?  Updates for Windows may be necessary for your safety - but if I run Ubuntu only, not for me.  What happens if I only have a TV and boxes that use the internet - what their updates?  Apple OS X?  Enough of android tablets?  etc...  It is highly unlikely that they want to achieve in the area of tracking everything you do - like that takes time/effort and they pay someone to deal with that.  ;-)

  • How to control the Windows updates are installed on the Windows Surface of RT

I recently had to perform a refresh to solve the problem with desktop on the desktop icons that appear as spaces. After the update, I had to reinstall the update for Office 2013. When I went to Windows Update to do this, I found it with a group of 9 other updates, these 9 were all marked as ready for download and installation, Office 2013 update is not checked. I disabled the office 2013 update and not the other 9 updates, thinking that I could make those after I had Office installed upgrading so I would like to know if my taskbar icon problem has been resolved. At the bottom of the screen even when the Office update was the only update checked I chose to install updates. The Surface actually installed all updates, not only the update of Office.

Is there a way to control which Windows updates are installed in fact at some point? Unchecking them made no difference.

    b. press ENTER.
    c. right-click on Automatic Updates service.
    d. click stop. Stopping the service will take a moment.
