Windows updates not more

Hello

I have a windows 7 and I've updated to windows 10. Then I changed the hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 to this topic on the new hard drive. Everything works fine, but as I am tryng to update again on windows 10 tells me that the processor is not compatible more :-(and I need to buy a new computer... so how are - this possible? the processor is the same... and if I put my old hard drive it works perfectly well with windows 10...
How can I solve this problem?

You try to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10? You are running the 32-bit version of Windows 10 before replacing the drive? You can reinstall the old drive and check.

CPU is not Compatible

To install Windows 10 on your PC, the processor (CPU) must support the following features: physical address Extension (PAE), NX and SSE2. Most of the processors are supported for these features, so if you receive this error, it is likely because the NX feature is not enabled on your system.

If your computer supports these extensions, you can always try to use ISO media. In some cases, you may need to move from your current architecture, 64-32 bit since these requirements affecting especially the installation of 64-bit Windows 10:

Update of security for Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 (KB2284695)

Update of security for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB2289163)
Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (KB2449798)

I don't know why not install microsoft office updates. Maybe because we use cracked versions of office. I think that these updates will not fail if we use a saved version of office 2003. is it so?.

First thing I would do is to remove the cracked versions and then make a broad analysis AV with malwarebytes and other utilities of the VA, not to say what other little hidden surprise, that you got for free.

  • Windows updates not working do not AT ALL

Five days ago, that I had to reinstall the Vista operating system. When I tried to install Microsoft office, I discovered that I need Vista SP1.  That's when I realized that all the attempts over the past five days updates had 'no.'  In the last hour, I worked with Microsoft technology by CAT on this issue and were made to do a scan of the sfc. Sfc scan window told me that I had a system repair pending that requires a reboot. I did the reset, but the sfc scan keeps giving the same message. I don't know if this is related to the inability of my computer up to date. (This all came trying to install Microsoft Office, which requires Vista SP1. Reinstall drive was apparently without SP1.  Any ideas?   (I just spent more than 25 hours get 2 rootkit virus diagnosed and removed - so the need to reinstall my operating system)

  • Windows Update not working do not Error Message and Windows Defender cannot update Error Message definitions

I have a laptop Dell 1501 with Vista Home Basic 32-bit.

I ran CA 2010 Security Suite and you have scanned for Malware with regard to the Windows Update Error Message. He found none. I ran Microsoft Malware malicious tool, and it found. I ran Windows Defender and he found. I don't have CA and Windows Firewall to protect my computer and I have disabled both in trying to solve this problem of Windows Update and Windows Defender.

I got this error 4 days ago. Here is what I tried:

-I went on various Web sites, including Microsoft Support - and tried to solve the problem through services.msc and msconfig.exe. None worked.

-J' noticed in msconfig. where it says start waiting next to Windows Update. There are 3-4 elements, which are affiliated to Windows Update and made sure they did not exist in the registry.

-J' have to ensure that they were supposed to be automatic or manual under services.msc.

-J' rebooted several times and nothing changes.

Windows Defender does not update the definitions, and I do not know if this coincides with the release of Windows does not.

I am at my wit's end and do not want to crash and burn my computer.

I need serious help. Please, I beg you!

    Thank you.

I had to call Microsoft. Alex tried to add registry keys and input upgrade.

My Windows Update has almost been altered. It could be my mistake or it has become corrupted when running other services at the same time.

I was sent a Windows 7 Home Premium Disc to upgrade and start over, as my Vista disk was corrupted as well.

I would not recommend trying one of the suggestions listed on other sites. It's my personal opinion because I have in the past and it worsened my problem.

I also wouldn't delete all programs (unless absolutely necessary) because I remove 4 MSMXL and he made their work more difficult.

Despite what you may have read, Microsoft Technical Support technicians are very efficient and kind.

We inform you to open a slot during your day or even open your day for the problem to be solved.

Mine took 2 1/2 hours, and they had to remind me the next day to make the order for the disk because it could not be done the same day.

  • Windows updates not working not - code error 0xC800042D whenever I try

When I try to update I get error Code: 0xC800042D - I was able to do some updates, but now it gives me this error code every time.  I'm not a computer expert - I just want to update.  I use the feature Microsoft Fixit and he "fixed" the problem but still get the same error message.  What should I do to get the updates short of hiring a "programmer/geek-type of person" to reorganize my computer? I have no further details - simply put: How do the Windows updates to rework?

    Hello

    1. What is the name of Microsoft Fixit are you referring to?
    2. Are you aware of any recent hardware or software on the computer changes before this problem?
    3. You are able to access the Internet?

Try the method provided in the article below and check after each method:

Temporary connection error may occur when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/836941

Warning to disable the Antivirus: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Warning to disable Firewall: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

Note: once you have completed the steps, make sure that you turn on the firewall and reactivate the antivirus in order to avoid the risk of infection by the virus.

  • Windows Update not update - have almost tried everything. Time to re - install windows 8?

    Hello

Recently, I needed to upgrade my computer to microsoft .net framework 4.6 for a programme of work. I decided that I have also download and install all windows updates at this time as well. When I run windows update, it downloads and installs them. Then I restart my pc like he wants me, and he says it configures the changes to my pc. Around 95 percent, he says that he has failed to set up changes to my pc and said that now it is up to them. I tried almost all the solutions on the internet to do this, including:

Run the tool for troubleshooting Windows Update (the two that included in windows and one located on the forums here, which is supposed to do more things)

the pc running in clean boot mode

removal of the download files stored for windows update (suggested by another Web site)

renamed the folder c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old, that was suggested on this forum

manually reset the windows update components by opening an elevated command prompt and start/stop bits and wuauserv, appidsvc cryptsvc

Open a command prompt and running /sfc scannow (it found problems, but has been unable to remedy)

Open command prompt and used DISM cleaner to repair corrupt files (initially it was not able to repair the corrupted files, however, I did something suggested by another site (I forgot what I did) and then I re-directed command prompt and it said it fixed corrupted files successfully.)

Despite all these tent, I always get errors. When I run the windows update troubleshooting, the program says that I had this problem but was able to fix it, but whenever I run the troubleshooter it tells me that it has set:

    Windows Update error 0 x 80070490(2016-05-19-T-07_19_40P)

In addition, when I ran the prompt DISM, files at the beginning, she was unable to fix, but then he said that he set the second test are called:

Of course, I tried just about everything that has been suggested. The only thing I can think to do now is to try to upgrade to windows 10 and if all goes well get rid of this problem, either uninstall windows and then reinstall it 8.

Another option that someone suggested is to delete my current profile from microsoft on my pc and then create a new one, so get rid of all the corrupt files. thoughts?

Someone else mentioned that interested to download either the microsoft update agent, which is on another part of this forum, or to download the preparation tool to update microsoft on this forum as well. Thoughts?

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    -UPDATE

I went to the microsoft update catalog and downloaded and installed every single update manually. I restarted my pc and set it up correctly and everything seems to be okay. I just downloaded microsoft .net framework 4.6.1 and installed successfully. I am now able to run the program that launched me into this adventure (Manager of nexus mod) together. So anyone out there with this same problem, my advice to you is to search microsoft update catalog in internet explore (it only works with google chrome), type the numbers after the "kb" for each update and then manually download and install updates and then reboot your pc. Good luck to you all.

  • 8 blocked to 13%/Will Windows Update not load any OS

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 on a Lenovo ThinkCentre PC.  Three days later, when I finally had the chance to explore the operating system, the PC suddenly warns me that it stops to install updates.  Let him install the update but it is stuck at 13%.  During the six hours of waiting, I noticed that the PC keeps restarting once every 30 minutes.  At this point I because the office and try to start it in Mode safe mode (SHIFT + F8).  Safe mode seems to work and I then reconnect to check for problems in Windows.  I was told that the driver sound or anti-virus can be the question so I uninstalled my antivirus.  Before that I could finish the uninstall, Windows starts once more to close the programs and stop them.  He tells me to "Please wait while it installs the updates... "I never had a warning or anything like that.

So my PC restarts and bring back me to the same screen.  It increments to 13% and stops.  I wait another 2 hours before the powerfailing again.  Ms tells me that I may need update my PC and explains how to do this.  When I get to the screen to refresh my PC and select the option, my PC just freezes and does nothing for a few hours.  At this point, it is almost an entire day just trying to install an update.  After a few hours, my PC restarts and lead me to a screen that says "auto repair failed" and it gives me 2 options: Shut Down or Advanced Options.  When I choose advance options, it brings back me to the same screen that I was at the front where I can refresh, reset, or stop.  No matter which I select, it freezes and resets after a few hours to a black screen with a blue Windows logo and a ring of spinning of points.
Seeing that something is really wrong, I disconnect my external backup to ensure that the information I have (library of music family photos/set) is correct.  I plug my external laptop and to my horror EVERY SINGLE ONE of my files has a generic icon (white sheet of paper) that does not open!  None of my MP3 or JPEG files opens.  I unplug the external and that someone else plug it into their PC and now I have NO file.  They can see from the outside and move files in there very well, but it's almost like my drive has been corrupted and then reformatted.  If at this point, I lost my full backup with all my information (family photos, music library, database of KeePass, a few years worth of .pst files, etc..)
I spend the next two days speaking with Microsoft and they come to the conclusion that my data was lost (both on my external hard drives and desktop) and I need to re - install Windows 8.  I put the DVD in the drive and choose to start using the DVD.  Nothing.  It brings back me to the exact same screen with blue Windows logo.  Remotes tech in my laptop and check the disc and everything seems in good condition.  Try us again and it always brings back me to the same screen.  At that time, it downloads Windows 7 and advises that we put on that return.  After 3 hours (close), it finally downloads and it puts it on my USB.  I select the USB to boot after the PC is powerfailed.  It gives me the message: could not load the operating system.
So, at this point, I lost ALL my data and my desktop PC was essentially bricked since 5 days with absolutely no resolution.  Office worked very well during the past year with Windows 7, but Windows 8 days and even I can't use it.  Microsoft says have absolutely no knowledge of the same question if their own forums and full of people have the same problem with the update.
I am looking for help with a problem that caused Windows 8.  The situation is becoming worse than Win98 and Vista!  I lost almost a week with Microsoft technicians to tell me that it is a problem with "my system".  Really?  Well well... my system was working fine until I was stupid enough to put Windows 8 on it.
Ranting side... Help, please!  I lost everything this week and I'm looking to rebuild.

  • Windows Update not available on my xp home edition. Also no pgedit and bits do not work.

"windows update is not available" for my xp Home Edition.  I followed the instructions to fix and found that I had no gpedit.  Also said something about BITS works do not.  I don't have my recovery disks.  I care not one of my files.  I want just a fresh install of xp.  I tried microsoft fix it but no good.  I tried to change the recommended registry but nothing.  I need to have regular updates for my xp system.

[1] I got a really nice, totally authentic Dell with XP home Edition with product information and all that.  My problem is that he had suffered some nasty virus that makes it unusable or at least the inheritee.

[2] the recovery discs can be acquired from the source, i.e. of Dell

A1. You should have to do a clean install when you inherited the computer. Since you have not, it's yet another reason to do it now.

A2. If a set of disks came with the computer, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you would use to do a clean install (in Dell-speak, a "destructive recovery"). You will find information about this in the Dell Support Web site (e.g., http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&docid=181316).
