WINDOWS VISTA CONNECT TO THE ADMIN / MY PROFILE
I had Microsoft help me solve a problem with Windows Defender and since that, I was not able to connect to my profile, but get connected to another temporary profile each time I connect.
The problem with the Defender has been according to the Microsoft support email:
Cause:-due to incorrect user in the registry profile settings.
Resolution:-reset user profile settings in the registry and Microsoft Security Essentials Scan went leader.
Please can you help, because I lost all my docs, photos, music, settings and Favorites, and he drives me crazy.
Thank you very much

After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

"Windows cannot connect to the service user profile service.
SOMETIMES, when I log onto an account says "unable to connect to the user profile service service." When I log into an administrator account, it displays a black screen and an error that says that my office has been denied access. It began quite recently after I transferred all my gear in a new case. I don't know if this has something to do with it. I spent hours researching this and I can't find a way to solve the problem. Help, please!
Hello
Since you don't have any attempt to Restore Points tapping F8 you can start and select last known good configuration

If that doesn't work try these - such as using Safe Mode ADMIN and/or the hidden ADMIN account.
Even if these aren't exactly the same methods please check solutions.
You can try to fix it with Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 as you bootup. The ADMIN account in trunk

I have reported this problem on my PC at home that connects to the internet. My laptop runs Vista Home Premium and I can't connect to the internet. I took my laptop on a trip, tried to connect to the wireless network that was free to the place we are. Could not connect, and after this initial test, the following is displayed after the start of "failed to connect to the Windows Service, Windows cannot connect to the system event notification service. This problem prevents limited users to logon to the system. As administratvie user, you can view the system event log to see why the service did not respond. "(have no idea how or what it means) when I go to the task bar you want to connect to a network, it is said:" the dependency service or group could not start"and if I go ahead and press"connect to a network"it says it can't find. I search for computers on the network (who I'm sitting next to) and then try to diagnose the problem and it cannot. I have limited knowledge of this type of problem. Anyone have this problem and how to fix it?
Hi ptkein,
Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.
Option 1: You can download and install the latest network card drivers and see if that can solve the problem.
Option 2: Follow the link below to fix network connection problems
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-connection-problems
Option 3: Follow the link below to solve Internet connection problems
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-Internet-connection-problems
Option 4: To verify if a third party application is a cause, follow this link (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode) for this boot to the desktop using the safe mode with networking option and try to install the network. If the problem is resolved, you will need to perform a clean boot by following the steps in the following article to refine the exact source and isolate it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Let me know if it worked.
Hope it will be useful.
Thank you and best regards,

Could not connect to the service user profile Service.
I have a little disconcerting problem. Every day or two, I can not connect to Windows correctly. When I start, select my account (which is also the unique administrator account) and enter my password, it spends an abnormally long time in the 'Starting Windows' screen, then I get the following message pop up in the notification area:
"Unable to connect to a windows service.
Windows could not connect to the service user profile Service.
This problem prevents limited users to logon to the system.
As an administrator, you can review... »Shortly after this message, I get a windows error message saying:
"Location is not available.
C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible.
Access is denied. »This seems just a desktop computer black with only the Recycle bin icon on it, and the old Windows Start button in the taskbar.
While trying to understand what is happening, I looked into the application of 'Problem reports and solution' in the control panel and found that every time this happens, I also have a corresponding event of "Stopped working" "Routing and remote access.
I then restart using F8 at startup and choose the one that says something to the effect of "using the last good configuration known."
I'm not sure what that means at all, but I hope that one of you people can help.
Thank you!
Hello any Leafs fan,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.
Looks like you're running only because of using a system restore to get back when your system is running. Now, you want to know what caused it.
Usually, when the above error occurs, it is due to a corrupt user profile.
The best way to fix this is to remove the user profile.- Go to the Start button
- Right click on computer
- Go to the properties
- Go to Advanced System Properties on the left pane
- Select the Advanced tab
- Go to the user profile Section and click on the settings button
- Find the profile for the
that you want to remove and click Remove. (It's the best way to remove the local profile in Windows Vista). - Connection again and you will get a new profile.
- To get your Favorites return, go to the old profile in C:\users and copy the data manually.
The only way to identify what caused the error with the user profile is to try to reproduce it.
If you have not installed the update of Windows, then you can go to Windows updates and see what are the updates must be installed and manually download them and install them one at a time. Between the installation of the system, make sure you have a restore point that you can go back to if necessary. Once an update is installed, then close and open a session back (or reboot if required by the software update) and see if you get the error user profile. If the error occurs, then go to Services and see if the user profile service is running and set to automatic.
If you are not able to do anything when the problem occurs, then try to start in safe mode using the F8 key and see if the problem occurs in safe mode.
You can also look in the event viewer to see if there is no dealing with event profile user or Windows Update errors.
To get to the event viewer, you can type in eventvwr.msc in the box start the search. This will bring up the event viewer and you can view the summary logs and see what kind of errors you encounter. Please post with your results and if you need further assistance.
Sincerely, Marilyn

Windows cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied.
From: Steve
Desperately, I try to print from my laptop Windows Vista Home Premium to a shared printer on my home wireless network. The shared printer is connected to a XP Home machine. This machine is wired (via a LAN cable) to the wireless router. I can 'see' the printer that I want to use but trying to to connect to it. I get the error message "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied. "I would be grateful for any help.
Kind regards.
-Steve
From: Alan Morris [MSFT]
Since the XP machine is HOME, I don't think that the permissions dialog box is accessible.
Run the XP network sharing wizard again and see if it affects safety correctly on sharing.
Is the printer you share one that has drivers provided with Windows XP?
In the meantime we will at least get the printer works for you.
Create a local printer on Windows Vista; Creation of a Local Port in the form \\XPMACHINE\Printsharename (this will send the files by using the redirector instead of the RPC service). Install the Windows Vista driver for the device.
You can print because print$ access is required for printer drivers.

I have a Windows Vista laptop. I usually have no problem printing over the network to my University Library. Then I bought a new Kodak printer to my apartment which I also configured to print wireless. For about a day, I could print from these two networks, depends on the location. Now, I can't print at the library. I am able to see all printers but when I try to 'Connect', it says "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Make sure you typed the name correctly and that you are connected to the network. "Word, printers of the University Library no longer appear in the list you choose to print. What should I do?

Hello! IAM using windows vista. Lately, I just figured that the computer has the virus iam so think upgrade to windows7 and I want to remove vista first. Is it possible to remove vista without starting? Sombody help please! Thank you!
Hello
1. you must have an operating system to be upgraded; in your case vista
You cannot delete vista
2. an upgrade is performed from an operating system of windows in your vista case, unless microsoft advises otherwise; does not apply in your case
solve your problem of malware or clean reinstall vista 1st - then upgrade
Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware
http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php
You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill
If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Add Printer__ Windows cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied
Laptops have just loaded with Windows 7 Pro on my domain. Try to load printers to a print server. Print server running Windows 2003 R2.
When I log in with a user profile, I go to devices and printers------click Add a printer-network printer select------I see a list of printers on the print server - choose the printer that I want to load------asked if I have confidence in this printer - click install drver------opens window files Coping - green bar moves as if it were loading drivers------then just before you get to the window asking if you want to make a default printer. open window that says - Connect Add Printer (X RED) for printer Windows cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied
Changes to device settings to allow the user load the drivers. Check the security access (everyone has permissions) for this printer on the print server.
Disable UAC control on the laptop. Group Policy has changed restrictions point and print.
But this same user can log on to another computer on the network, which has loaded XP Pro and can load the same printers that are denied with windows 7 pro
As a network administrator, I can log on to laptop computers and load A B and C printers.
So I can log on as a user and then I can load A B and C printers, but as a user I want printer D I get the same message as above.
Thank you in advace for your help
This is the solution I received and seems to work.
You have to go into the local group policy on Windows 7 computers, and not on the server.
Go to the Group Policy:
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Printers\Point and printing Restrictions ss SET TO OFF
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Printers\Point and printing Restrictions ss SET TO OFF
