Windows Vista Games disappeared when I installed Windows 7

After I clean installed Windows 7, I noticed that all my games in Windows Vista (for example, solitaire spider, chess, etc.) had disappeared. How to make a comeback? When I look in the start menu under the Games folder in the Games Explorer, there is NO games listed! Help, please!

If you have installed the Windows 7 Professional SKU, that's why.  Make your way to:

Beginning
-> Control Panel
--> Programs
---> Turn Windows features on or off

    Google Chrome has no toolbars, menu bars, or title bars.  That's how it was designed.  If you have questions about Google products, you should contact Google.

    If you are referring to Microsoft games, then try one of these:

    Method 1

    This method is to disable the games feature, and then turn it back on.

    a. in the Start Menu, select Control Panel. In Control Panel, select "programs". Then select "Turn Windows features on or off".

    b. turn off of the games by unchecking the box next to games. This will remove the check from the box.  Select 'OK '. Select restart to reboot your system.

    (c) in the Start Menu, select Control Panel. In Control Panel, select "programs". Then select "Turn Windows features on or off".

    d. turn on the games by clicking on the box next to games. This will add the control to the Toolbox.  Select 'OK '. Choose "Restart" to reboot your system.

    The games should now start properly.

    What option did you choose during the upgrade?

  • DirectX error when you install the game: "an internal system error has occurred. See DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem.

    I am trying to install a game open source called Rigs of Rods on my dual-boot MacBook Pro with Windows 7 installed via Boot Camp. I get an error that prevents the installation of DirectX. I know that Win 7 includes DirectX 11, but this game does not currently support the DX 11. If I get this error when you try to install DirectX 9. I had a similar problem with another game that I tried installing on another machine Win 7 which is not started in dual mode, and install DirectX 9 worked perfectly. The grub menu 2 does not include an entry for windows. My computer directly boots into Ubuntu. I tried to put the installation disc in the status bar to try to recover the system but nothing works.     It seems that after installing Ubuntu, grub 2 took control of Boot Manager and changed the boot sequence. To change the startup entries to get Vista, you must contact Ubuntu for assistance on changing the grub boot entries 2.

    HP computers have been known to not let you install Vista on a non HP bought replacement hard drive

    There were a few posters with this problem here

    If the OEM disc for this particular laptop, you should be able to reinstall it as many times as you want as long as you have not changed the main material (the motherboard)

    You can change the hard drives, RAM, etc.

    I presume that you boot from the Vista DVD

    # You have need Vista compatible drivers - it's the only way it will work.  Installing bad drivers can even to hurt the unit or even your system to not try.  Get a new USB device that works with Vista, and has the correct drivers.
