8500 blue

Hello.

No blue.  aligned. cleaning print head.  removed the print head and cleaned it and transport.  Tried a different cartridge.  The first attempt to print after that cleaning transport was beautiful.  The 2nd time was about 1/3 blue.  The 3rd totalled about 1 line of blue and no blue since.  I shot between 3 ink cartridges.  Is there anything else I can try before replacing the cyan/magenta printhead?  Magenta works very well!

THX,
Tim

Thank you

Please let me know if the print head replacement solves your problem. I understand the Magenta print very well, but it can fix your Cyan Ink does not print.

I will seek forward to hearing from you again!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless print pink instead of blue

Until recently, I never had a problem with this printer; However (now when I didn't print blue) it comes out pink... I cleaned the head many times and has also replaced the Cyan Ink Cartridge with a new and fresh cartridge, and nothing seems to solve the problem... All suggestions are solicited.

    Hi Chuck,

I understand that you have a problem with your printer Officejet 8500 Wireless color print does not correctly. I'm sorry to hear what is happening, but I will do my best to help you!

I understand that you advised you already tried cleaning, but I will suggest that take you a look at this document to print quality because it has a few others not for you to try as well. If the problem persists after this document, although I suggest you clean the printhead contacts manually because it might be an accumulation causing the colors do not print correctly.

Finally, I also recommend connect the printer directly to a wall outlet to make sure that the printer is getting enough power to function properly.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 wireless w / B8808C14, B8614C64, B8806060, or B8806238 blue screen error message

    HI -.

My printer HP Officejet printer to wireless Pro 8500 A909g connected via USB, was when our lights flickered. It is connected to a surge protector.  However, he was one of the four error messages on the touch screen when the printer is on.  B8808C14, B8614C64, B8806060, or B8806238 resulted on a blue screen right once I turn it on to warm up.  No button does on the printer.  Nothing prints.  The computer is running Windows Vista 64 bit and it says the printer is offline.  Solution Center HP on the computer says the printer is disconnected when it is still connected.  If you click the power button, the printer turns off momentarily then returns to one of the four messages code listed above.  I unplugged the printer completely moved and plugged into a power source in the kitchen and the same error message and no button responds.  We had the printer 18 months without any problem.

What you experience is a fatal error in the firmware of the printer. In this case, it's not much, you can do. Try a hard reset first. If the error is not clear, you can try to do a partial reset. If none of those working, you need to replace the printer.

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

    To make a partial reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
5 connect the power supply cord inot the wall, but do not connect the printer.
    6. press 3 and # buttons.
    7. while now buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. when the lights come on, release the buttons.

  • Upgrade want a reader Blu - ray after buying 8500 XPS

    Hello

I bought an xps 8500 not long and it's great, however, I do not regret the upgrade to a Blu - ray disc drive. My question is can I do it now, without voiding the warranty or mess up anything else. I am a novice so please bare with me.

    Hi DiAcosta,

It can move the player to a Blu - ray, one player and it will not void the warranty. Drive Blu - ray alone will not guarantee, but the other parties will continue to have the Dell warranty.

  • What brand of blu ray discs work on a 8500 XPS?

Hi, I ordered a XPS 8500 with a blu ray burner and I was wondering what experiences people have had to burn? What brands have worked well and what resulted mainly in the roller coaster? Thanks in advance.

    Hi rookie128,

Dell engineering team have not been defined any known problem with burning discs, or other problems with the Dell XPS 8500 System. Ideally, all Blu - ray discs that can fit into the Blu - ray player can be used.

    Hello Keith,

I just finsihed a repair of my Officejet Pro 8500

At first, I did not see also all the tubes have been pinched as suggested by Ciara, however, the black and magenta tubes were damaged near/behind the sled print head. I think that they have abandoned their guides and am stuck on several occasions by the sled.

To fix it, I used pieces of wire insulation I pasted above the damaged area. I have documented the repair with images and some instructions, but unfortunately, I can not attach the file here. If you do not empty your printer, you can have a go... don't take too long. Send me an email and I will send you the PDF document.

Here is a picture of the repaired area:

    Hello

You can uninstall and then reinstall your printer using the right drivers and installation on the HP Web site information, but I think it's more a physical problem with the ink cartridges and how they were installed, and the configuration.

There are some troubleshooting steps for her it too when you select the correct printer model number.

You have given us a serial number printer, rather than an exact model number

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: 8500 a plug the USB to the PC and wireless for Mac

Our Officejet Pro 8500 a is connected via USB to our HP Pavilion running Windows 7. This connection works well. However, I tried to connect my iMac (OS 10.10.2) to the wireless printer with no success. If I disconnect the USB from the PC, I can connect wirelessly from my Mac. My question is: the Officejet Pro 8500 a does support multiple types of connections - one by USB and the other by wireless? If so, then I would appreciate help to understand why my Mac is not the 8500.

Other details: our wireless router is Apple Airport Extreme. The wireless connection on the printer seems to work (I can print the details of this connection). However, when I try to add the 8500 to the Mac by using add printer, the printer does not appear. (The printer is lit and shows five bars of signal strength, SSID is correct and a valid IP address).

My Mac is connected to the wireless network.

    Any suggestions?

I was able to solve the problem of the printer with ethernet connection to the router that provides network wireless for PC and Mac. Now two machines are able to access the printer with no problems. By connecting with an ethernet cable, connect the printer wireless has been disabled. It had to be done because the wireless radio had become unreliable. The idea was that the blue wireless light never came. Thus by connecting wired LAN, all problems are gone. • OfficeJet pro 8500 wireless problems

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer, set up my wireless network. It is connected to my Linksys E2000 wireless router (wireless, do not use the LAN cable). I print from my Win7 64 bit laptop, my iPhone / iPad (via airprint).

This configuration is used to work perfectly, and 1 day to the other, I can not connect to the printer. I think that this happened after the printer has proposed an update of the firmware. No changes have been made to firmware on my laptop or a router, without the router settings have been changed.

If I use my i-devices, no airprint printer is detected. From my laptop, I get an error indicating that a connection to the printer cannot be established.

I tried selecting the IP manually (192.168.1.120), I did a factory reset the printer and run the wizzard wireless again and finally I connected a router LAN cable direct to the printer. I managed to connect the printer to the network, the network printer diagnostics detects any flaws, but the machine is still invisible to other devices...

    Now, I'm quite stuck...

wingwalker1, is the light on the printer and a solid blue wireless? She has the same IP as before (which is the IP address if it has changed)?

When you say thayt it has not completed the wireless configuration wizard, at - he gave a specific failure message?

I want you to do a reset of network. First turn off the printer and the computer, and then unplug the power to the router for 10 seconds and plug it back. Wait for all lights to come back on the router and turn on the printer and the computer.

Go to wireless menu, reset the network defaults and restart the wireless configuration wizard.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500: Officejet Pro 8500 hp printhead question

My printer does not print Cyan. I replaced the ink cartridge. Clean the print heads. Has taken the print head and it was blue ink on it. A picture of the problem. All other colors will be printed.

    Hello @Cynusps

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

Looks like you did more troubleshooting for your question.  I do not recommend remove the printhead again and clean the copper contact us about this.  Ink can get on the copper contacts not cause the print head to get a good signal of the printer and cause poor quality.

Print heads are also a replaceable part in the printer and must be replaced as cartridges from time to time.   Here is a document concerning the fixing of problems of quality Print for the HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One Printer Series.  If you fill the document with no resolution, you may need to replace the print head.

Plug the power supply directly to a wall outlet works. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source. Like that might be the cause of the error.
