  • Windows Vista, administrator password, does not

I had the windows administrator password since I bought my laptop about a week, there is the password no longer works, (no one has changed the password). Finger printer reader, my impression, finger reads me the green check mark, and then displays the incorrect user name or password. Dell has no help nor Microsoft, called the two, both passes the question to the other. I have many family photos and some documents I want to turn off my computer, I can't get them because of the password, I bought a case that Dell said to do, it does not fit my hard drive. Can someone tell me how to bypass my password so that I can get at my photos or what I can do to at least get my photos in the admin account that is displayed in my full name. I tried to type in the command prompt, and nothing works, please any help, I would be so grateful... Dell and Microsoft told me, there's a way to get around, but they cannot help doing it on my own computer.

    Hello

Donna I don't know how the fingerprint reader interacts with the opening of session if it is an assumption. This method
works on systems without the reader of fingerprints and perhaps on your system when used in conjunction with
your fingerprint reader. Hope it's useful.

Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK

  • Windows Vista login password lost - how to get around?

    Hello

I managed to forget my login password for my account, so I can't bypass the connection now. Is it possible so I can restore my password? My account has administrator rights.

There are many ways to 'restore' a lost windows password... But I guess that you are not involved in anything like that, so it is quite difficult to explain. Takes a long time. You have sensitive data on your account? Otherwise I would advice you to reinstall windows. If you have sensitive data, you can try to take your hard drive to another computer and make an account on which now bears the same name as yours. You may be able to copy your data then.

    Hi Robin75,

Thanks for choosing Windows Vista community.

Yes, it is possible to change Windows Vista Logon Background. I'm afraid, there is no tool designed by Microsoft for that matter.

However, there are many third-party tools that will help you change Windows Vista Logon Background on your system.

You can go to http://www.bing.com/ and background research to logon to Windows Vista.

Windows Vista: lost password and should be retrieved as soon as possible!

    This is the problem...

I forgot my password for the administrative account and it has been almost a year since the accident. Tried many possible passwords and combinations that I can remember and think, but it did not work.

Right now, I'm using the local account user...

I lost my disk to reinstall :/ and asked most of my friends and people to help me and all their answers are the same.

It's either all reset back to factory State * or the system restore and I can not!

or use the password reset disk? I do not know about it until what someone told me about this = _ = and then I figured out it's too late...

and someone told me about 'safe mode' but I don't know where or what.

and now I'm stuck! on the local user and can't do anything... Cannot download and...-.-just nothing...

I am a beginner on computers, only know how to download things... and to play games and write stories

Please help me on this: () I feel very stupid and don't know what to do...

Is there anyone who had this same problem before or big on technical issues and recoveries and will help me in this mission?

Restore factory is certainly a good idea, and in most cases, you don't have even a disc, because at the time of Vista, most computers had the integrated hard drive recovery partition. You just restart, press a special key (depending on the manufacturer of the PC) and start the restore.

But in Safe Mode can help you too.

If there is no administrator account on the system, you can start safe mode to access the built-in Administrator account.  Since this fail-safe account, you can force - reset your account password.

    1. Turn off the computer.
    2. Turn it on and start immediately typing F8.  When the boot options is displayed, select Mode safe mode with networking.

Now that you are in safe mode, you can use the backup Administrator account built for perform you a necessary recovery. Built in Administrator account should not be used for any other purpose, or it is not available in such situations when you need it.

    1. On the login screen, select the administrator account.
    2. Open Control Panel / user accounts.
    3. Select manage another account, and then select the account you want to switch to an administrator account. You can also use the option change password here to reset the password of the other account.

When finished, restart the computer normally.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or gets stuck

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or crashes on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load with six green bars moving through bar. It will start in safe mode. I ran the auto repair (recommended) when starting after being forced to stop. After it says its full it restarts and remains stuck on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load bar with six green bars that cross so I force disable it again.

I had no problem with this computer, he got in last seven. It was working fine yesterday and then the without wire came out, so I restarted the computer to find the connection again as I had done several times before. That's when it froze on the opening of session and password screen. Who started this cycle of freezing or stuck on the black screen with the loading bar permanently running.

    UPDATE:
Start safe mode then made the instructions on the clean boot. Not checked, all iteams he says and rebooted and it worked. So I went to the next step to select only half to refine the list. Restarted and when at the loading screen for a little over 30 sec - 1 min (which is more short than the time it took to work initially after the first stage of the boot with all unchecked), but it goes to a completely black screen that has not happened before. So now, a little lost, or do I have to keep trying to refine?

    Hi Greg,.

It will not harm the computer to run it in a boot environment.  Some programs do not work properly because they were probably responsible for their own services and rely on them to work.  You have disabled all non-Microsoft services, and things like printers and software can be difficult.

Click Start, then options type power and press ENTER.  Let us make sure that the system is not configured to sleep.  Go ahead and put the power plan to High Performance, then click on change Plan settings below.  There will be a framework for "put the computer to sleep".  The value than ever.

If it continues to turn black in clean boot mode, you may have a hardware problem.  One thing you could do if it's a desktop system and really need to use it now, it is the lid of the machine and aim a fan in the box.  This will help if it is overheating.

Please complete the steps to diagnose the problem with the boot when you have the chance.
