Windows Vista updates which will not install
My OS Vista Home Premium 32 - bit for my HP Pavilion a6460t computer will not install the updates listed below. I scanned for virus conficker, as well as for other viruses, most recently with the Microsoft OneCare security scan (beta), and my computer is not infected according to these analyses. I have also tried installing these updates directly from the websites of download from Microsoft without success ("the following updates were not installed"). Auto update is on.
Update security for Windows Vista (KB960225)
Update security for Windows Vista (KB958690)
Update for Windows Vista (KB959772)
Update definition for Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.55.1119.0)
Update for Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter [March 2009] (KB905866)
Thank you
Ron Alexander
After several calls to the technical support of HP (which is also the warranty service for my Vista installed factory), the problem of update is finally resolved by reinstalling the operating system Vista. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions.

Had to reinstall Windows Vista Basic on my laptop now girls probably 4 or 5 times over the past year. A question is we get full and you get to a screen that says not to interrupt and cela will take a few minutes, which, on an attempt, I let it run all night and never went. Finally, just let it load and put an end to the function and let him simply use the laptop. Then after a few moments to use his laptop begins to freeze. So, I have to go and try to reinstall its OS.
If you restore so frequently, or at all, someone is something fundimentally incorrect and visit places / download infected files.
Recover PC to factory specifications, winupdate turn off "recommended updates", but allow critical updates. Consult the manufacturer of your laptop and see if there are recommended updates shown there.
Install a decent Anti Virus, MS Security Essentials is free. Do this before you install any programs or connect to the scocial network sites

AFTER YOU INSTALL SERVICE PACK 1 FOR WINDOWS VISTA, MY COMPUTER WILL NOT START SAYS UNATTENDED, DLL
Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
I have the version upgrade of Windows 8 Pro and can not install Media Center.
I signed up for a key that was sent to me and past the initial check whenever I try to install it.
I check the checkbox for the conditions once the key is successfully verified.
I then get the bar of green progression for the verification of updates and after about 30 seconds, I get the error message 'something went wrong '.
Hello
This is how I solved this problem.I have notised that a file with the name ehome. has been "created" in the windows folder.This seems to block the creation of the eHome folder, where the Media Center should install.Remove the ehome. file, create the eHome directory and try again to install the Media Center.Worked for me on two different PCs.See you soonM -
