32L1375D - no sound on HDMI using PC not connected

My HDTV has been replaced by Toshiba (backlight went) the new tv is a 32L1375DB.
Everything seems fine, except when I connect to my PC via HDMI I have no sound.

I have check and out HDMI AMD is selected by default on my pc windows 7 (processor i5, 8 GB ram, AMD HD 5870 graphics card). But under supported formats says 0.

Audio over HDMI works perfectly on old TV and nothing else on the system has changed. The xbox, which is also connected to the new TV works fine. I tried the HDMI cable from the Xbox with the tv and tried on the two hdmi ports on the TV with the same result, big no picture no sound.

Someone else had this problem? Can someone give me advice on how to solve it?

Sorry mate, but I guess that this issue has nothing to do with the Toshiba TV but your PC settings.
Usually, you have to choose the HDMI (or digital) in the settings of your PC.
Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab

Here you will see all available devices. In order to get the sound through HDMI out you must choose this device as default.

  • Question T540p Ultradock sound via HDMI & fwdphb03 do not launch

My problem is that when I am connected with the t540p to the ultradock this noise comes from the local speakers instead of via the HDMI cable if the monitor and then through my external speaker which are way better.

Audio playback devices I wrote: 'High definietyion Audio Device not connected. So I tried to connect directly via portable computers mindpoit for the monitor and then it worked. But as soon as I have it plugged into the docking station, which is connected to the same monitor via the DVI then the result is not plugged.

So I tried the station dock firmware upgrade by downloading the latest firmware fwdphb03, and it does not start in spite of being connected to the docking station and using an external monitor and correctly connected.

    Any ideas?

    FIXED;

So I removed the NVIDIA drivers and all its software. I had to remove the reboot, remove once again, and then restart. Then and only then, I installed the latest drivers for lenovo download site and then the audio via HDMI becomes visible, and it works again.

I've yet to update the firmware of the docking station. If anyone can help with this?

  • NVIDIA HDMI output "Is not connected" - Audio does not have TV

I have a HP HDX X18T-1200 CTO Premium Notebook PC.

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit, Service Pack 1.

Some time previously, the audio has stopped working when you plug an HDMI cable to my tv (perhaps after updating a driver?). It always occurs on the laptop itself.

Under the control panel: sound, the output device HDMI NVIDIA said that it is "not connected" and is grayed out so I can't set as default device. I can see the video output to the TV, but the audio is not go with her, even when you set the video mode for projector only.

I tried to uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and drivers NVIDIA High Definition Audio from the Device Manager, but that did not help. The IDT driver is version 6.10.6276.0, and the Nvidia is 1.2.24.0. Both are as up-to-date as possible I think.

I work in the COMPUTER industry, so I'm not a total fool when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's me confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    So here's what I discovered...

The link to the Nvidia site provided by maxpower757 also had a link to this page on this topic: No. HDMI audio when connected to a TV by Philips HD graphics card. In case the link stops working at some point, this is what he said:

    • Some Philips HDMI screens may have problems with some older NVIDIA graphics cards that could lead to corruption of the image when the audio over HDMI is turned on. In this case, the NVIDIA driver attempts to identify these views and default settings to disable the audio if necessary. To re-enable audio (note that this could cause corruption of the image), go to the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then select the page resolution of changes in the View Menu. Select your HDMI display in step 1, and then change the connector in step 2 of "HDMI-HDTV (compatible Audio)" and select apply.

But when I went looking this "connector" setting, it was not found. I upgraded my drivers to the latest versions, and it was there! When I put it to Audio-enabled, it pops up a warning, and after clicking on Yes, I could open the peripheral reading window and set the HDMI as the default device.

Hooray! It works again! Here is a screenshot of the setting you would look to (notice the connector set in the middle of the window).

  • No sound via HDMI output portable computer connecting to TV

Original title: laptop HDMI to the TV - no sound

Until a few weeks ago, it worked fine: I simply plugged the HDMI cable between my laptop and the TV and got audio and video on the TV (after the correct AV channel on the TV).  Now, I only get the video.

I looked through other issues on this forum but have not found anything that works.  I hesitate to change too much, as it has worked before.

I see two devices in my "playback devices": "Speakers" (default) and "SPDIF Interface.

Laptop: Packard Bell Easy Note TJ65 Pentium Dual - Core CPU

    Windows 7 Version 6.1 (Build 7600)

TV: Plasma Panasonic TX-PS42S10B (HD Ready)

Any ideas, anyone?  I think that as I made very few changes, the fix should be simple.  I have not yet tried another cable, but I'm sure it's OK.

    BINGO!

(So I had to go JustAnswers.com & pay £28, but I got the answer right away... well I went earlier!)

Happy to share, though, for anyone faced with this annoying problem...

I went to Device Manager (Start button > right click on computer and selectManage) and uninstalled the device calledIntel(r) Audio high definition HDMI.  Restart the computer.  TV connected with an HDMI cable.  Right click on the little speaker symbol & slected playback devices.  Panasonic TV shows as a device.  Right click on it & as default.  I got my sound back & all works correctly.

It seems that the driver had been updated somewhere along the line and is no longer compatible.  Following this process makes the computer to replace its own driver.  All this time I was looking for a newer driver, and what she wanted was old!

For the record, the device in the Device Manager is now called the high definition Audio Device. No mention of HDMI!

Also, if you right-click on the desktop, you get a wizard to set up the TV interface.

  • No sound from the TV using a HDMI cable not connected to the laptop ASUS G75VW.

I have an ASUS G75VW, when I connect the HDMI to my TV, I get only audio through my computer laptop speakers or headphones, while it is plugged.  In addition, the TV picture is only 480 p.  When I check the sound icon, it shows that the HDMI port is "not connected" even though it is.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver on both the NVIDIA site and the site of ASUS.  Same question.  Help, please!

    Hello

Make sure that it has the TV volume.

You can also make sure that the connections are appropriate. Try to connect to another HDMI port as well.

Refer to the section: "Check if the cables are connected correctly" and set the HDMI audio device as the default value.

When I connect the screen gets automatically duplicated and everything works fine, but when I try to play a movie with vlc for example I get not all sound through the TV, only on the tablet.

Of course, I went into the sound Manager, because I suspected that you specify the tm2 where to play the sound, but to my surpise, he said that the HDMI cable is not connected?

I was able to make any changes to the default output device...

Even in the IDT application wants to tell me that the HDMI cable is not connected. I have plugged in and out several times without success.

I hope someone can help me on what precedes, I already searched the net for several hours but havn't seen a similar problem, the more problems it shows as connected cable...

    Thanks in advance!

  • Audio default HDMI output goes to "not connected" when the receiver is turned off and does not reset as defdault when the receiver is turned on

  • 3 Yoga does not connect to wifi

Hello, I got of my 3 Yoga a few months now and have had a recurring problem with the WiFi. Often, when I close my laptop and he goes to sleep, the next time I try to use WiFi not connecting. This happens sometimes when I'm in the middle of using it. There is a red X on the WiFi icon and when I click on settings says 'no networks detected.' No matter how many times I turn the WiFi works, he refuses to find all the networks. When I restart my computer, it works very well and will connect to my school's network automatically as it should. Any ideas as to why it disconnects and refuses to find my network? It's annoying to have to restart my computer everytime I want to use it. Thank you!!

    Go to the control panel

    Click on Device Manager

Under the network adapter, right click on the wireless adapter, then click Properties

Go to the power management tab, and clear the "allow this computer to turn off this device to save power".

Click on the OK button, close all windows and restart.

  • Qosmio G50 not sound on HDMI

    * Qosmio G50 not sound on HDMI *.

    Hi all

I hope everyone recognizes the following and would be kind enough to help me. I searched the forum and tried several of the solutions proposed mainly apply to Vista, but still.

I hooked up my Qosmio G50 to my Philips LCD HDMI cable. Picture is ok, but there is no sound. I tested the cable with a Toshiba Satellite Pro L550 and it works allright. Image and sound work. But this laptop has Intel HDMI audio.

I am Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit slot. I improved by upgrading Toshiba DVD of Vista 64-bit. Unfortunately I do not know with certainty if the HDMI audio worked before that. I think so because I used the laptop to watch a movie on a Panasonic plasma. But I don't remember if it was before or after the upgrade.

Realtek HD Audio device is installed driver version 6.0.1.5923
Realtek HDMI Output is selected as default playback device.
Test gives me graphic response (flashing) but no sound from my TV.
Choose the other audio device Realtek Digital output doesn't change anything and I do not think it would work anyway.
I tried to remove the device and then reinstalling the original drivers. I tried the REaltek drivers on their site.
I tried to change the HDMI view only but what does nog change anything either.

One thing that worries me is that, under his / Realtek HDMI Output / Properties / he supported Formats are no current format. The satellite gives me audio DTS and others. So I wonder if there should be present formats and if so, how can I change that / add a few.

Please forgive me if there are mistakes in the text. I translate this to a Dutch version of Windows 7.

Please help me. All suggestions are welcome!

  • I have a NVidia GTS450 with HDMI output. When I connected it I had sound & vision. After the first time that I turned off the desktop computer sound options just told me THAT HDMI is not connected?

I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. It does not seem to recognize the connection although it is really connected and one / v amp is running. I get the desktop on the HD TV but no sound.

    Hello

By default the Vista transmits no sound on HDMI output.  To change this to change the settings in the control panel.

Note: This will turn off sound from speakers or normal audio output on the laptop.  To get that back, you will need to reverse this process.

    a. click on the button 'start '.

    b. click on 'control panel '.
    c. with the control to the "Control Panel Home" Panel, click on 'hardware and sound '.
    d. where it says 'Sound' in green letters, there are three options below that are in blue, click on "manage Audio devices.
    e. This will bring up a window titled "Sound".
    f. on the tab 'Read', he has listed the sound options at your disposal. It should read "peripheral digital output (HDMI)" click on it.
    g. There should now be a checkmark on this option.
    h. the sound should play through your HDMI connections to the TV.

Also there is no HDMI in under the control panel Device Manager, should there be?

    Hello
I put t know what Windows system that you use on this laptop, but the driver HDMI isn't available from the HDMI port driver is part of the system and should be recognized automatically.

Capacity Audio HDMI you need to install the right audio driver and should allow this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback device

HDMI (digital out) would be not listed there, right click and choose:
Show devices disabled, view hidden devices.

Usually the HDMI connection isn t very delicate. Everything should run automatically.
Connect both devices with a HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV, then the computer.
Now, use the exit function FN (key) video combination in order to get to the video (HDMI).

Note: the correct HDMI channel must be selected on your TV
