Windows XP blue screens or freezes during playback of music through speakers

Every time I play audio through my speakers, the computer will start to hang and then eventually freeze for a few seconds, if it is not out of it, it ends up blue screening, but if I play the music through my headphones is very well and never crashes... could it be caused by a hard to die?

I discovered the problem, used a bad audio driver. Turns out I had one for windows 7 and not xp, went to the manufacturer's Web site and found the right driver. Thanks anyway!

  • Blue screen of death during recovery

Apparently, the latest updates from MS caused problems and I had the blue screen of death during the start several times on my Pavilion p6610f desktop computer. I try a system recovery and got the screen died shortly after the recovery began. Now it does not start or even turn on a screen.  Any help would be appreciated.

Well, this is my fourth attempt at this announcement, I hope it will work this time.  Below are my answers to your questions.

    Hello jp-3,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post about how you are not able to boot your Windows computer after attempting a recovery, and I'd be happy to help you! To start, I have to ask you a few questions:

Mech Hi and thanks for your help.

It is a Pavilion p6610f desktop PC

    • What version of Windows you have installed on your computer?

I was running 7 Home Pro

    • Has your computer finished all his important updates from Windows?

The updates had been installed, which was when I started to have problems

I didn't have a chance to update anything after you restart MS. updates He immediately started crashing. I restarted three times and got a truncated blue screen every time, that's why I tried the recovery.

    • What is a current or recent problem?

He started just after the latest version of Windows update.

    • You are able to get an image from another monitor?

In general, I run two monitors (bothHP) via USB converter j5create JUA310, which I unplugged in case of conflict. It crashed with two configuration simple and double monitor. When I was running food, I had only the primary monitor upward.

In the meantime, I recommend that you follow this document on screen is blank after you start the computer. This should help with the display on your screen when you start first to the top of your computer.

I unplugged everything - HP Color laser printer duplicator Kensington USB port and USB mouse Logitech wireless (wired mice HATE!). Had previously removed just in case USB Sandisk flash drive. The computer started, monitor went up, and I received a message "windows recovered from an unexpected shutdown - check online solutions. Did respond to the message again. Did not try a BIOS update.

    Thanks for your help!

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the information requested above. I look forward to your reply!

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Added new hardware, updated drivers to date (don't forget to check in Control Panel - Windows Updates -
updates to the pilot), or add key software lately? Drivers and antivirus/antispyware/security
the products are also suspect likely. Next message is my generic driver updated methods to use when
you get to this part of the resolution of the problems.

    BCCode: a 0x0000000A

    Cause

This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high.

The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after installing a faulty device driver,
    BIOS or system service.

If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be
caused by a device driver, system service, a virus scanner, or backup tool which is not compatible
    with the new version.

    Solve the problem

If a kernel debugger is available, get a stack trace.

To resolve an error caused by the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system.
    3. In the Windows Advanced Options menu, select last known good Configuration .
    4. This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.

To resolve an error caused by an incompatible device driver, system service, virus
    Scanner, or backup tool

    1. Check the system log in Event Viewer for error messages that may identify the device or
    2. the driver that caused the error.
    3. Try disabling the cache in memory of the BIOS.
    4. Run the diagnostics of material provided by the manufacturer of the system, in particular the memory
    5. scanner. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
    6. Make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed.
    7. If your system has interface cards (SCSI) small computer system, contact the adapter
    8. manufacturer for updates of Windows drivers. Try to disable sync negotiation in the SCSI
    9. BIOS, check the wiring and the SCSI ID of each device and confirming the proper termination.
    10. For devices (IDE) peripheral electronic integrated, set the built-in as only primary IDE port.
    11. Also, check each IDE device to the right setting master/slave/stand alone. Try
    12. remove all IDE devices except for the hard drives.

If the message appears during installation of Windows, make sure that the computer and all the
devices are listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.

  • Last night, my laptop that runs windows xp blue screened and says something about the queue

original title: help solve a mistake, please on windows xp

Last night my laptop that runs windows xp blue screened and says something about the queue and to bring the computer out of which I did. I just tried to turn it on an hour ago, I use it now, and I got a message saying he had recovered from a serious error and I wanted to report to microsoft? I clicked Yes, but unbeknownst to me, I had no internet connection at the point of having to re-enter my our Verizon router WEP number in this laptop. I essentially self-taught myself much on computers that tell you, I'm not really computer literate, but if you can point me in the right direction, I can very well do. This is where to ask my question/problem. I went in the event viewer and found this error/explanation: Index information is corrupt and Indexing Service cannot re - index the content automatically. User action: stop and restart the indexing service using the following command:

    SC stop cisvc

    SC start cisvc

Can someone tell me please how to do this?  I think I know, but I'm really not sure so please help... Thank you

It really seems to me as if you had a temporary problem which has now disappeared and that you probably do not need to do anything.

However, please click Start, and then click Printers and faxes and report what, if anything, you see in the window that opens.

If you don't see an icon for the printer that you think should be there, you need to fix this.  On the other hand, if your printer icon is there - or if you do not have a printer attached to your computer - you need not do anything.

If you want your computer to be a little faster and at the same time save space on your hard drive, read the LifeHacker article I linked in my previous post.  However, you need not to do, and you can erase [probably] regardless of the index corruption has occurred by starting and stopping the Indexing Service (cisvc) by entering commands in a command prompt window that I described.

Yet once, you don't need to change your encryption WEP to WPA or WPA2 wifi, but doing so will make your network more secure wireless.  If you want to change your encryption, you would start by changing the configuration of your router from Verizon.  You should be able to find detailed instructions on the Verizon support site.  I don't know if you have Verizon FiOS or Verizon DSL service; This is a page of relevant support FiOS--> http://www22.verizon.com/ResidentialHelp/FiOSInternet/Networking/Setup/Security/124980.htm

  • Crash / blue screen / not freezing Vista - no disk error - no viruses?

Hey there - I have a dell with vista OS pc. For a week simply freezes small without apparent reason shortly after the start of vista. It seems not
Plan of exactly when it freezes. I tried not to use some programs, nothing helps - the motive seems to be that if I use a microsoft program - crash of things - I can use firefox etc. without problem. Running in safe mode is very good, and I have access to all my files this way. So far, I have:

1 received all the important data from the system to a PC on a network in windows 7
    2. tried several restore points - did not help
3 run several virus - including ms security essentials scans and FSecure online scanner. both have not reported any problem
    4. in the start menu I have run diagnostics from the dell system - which don't report no disk error
    5. starting at cmmd line run chkdsk and chkdsk /f - no effect
6a ran the event viewer to check what was going on - who himself, then crashed.
    7. waived after 6 and thought, I'd ask the experts instead! :)

    What should I try next?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Thanks for your help :D

    animebuster,
For error that you got with ProtoType, I found some information on our site MSDN (which is intended for the developers).  Here is the explanation of this error code:

    0XD1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bug control has a value of 0x000000D1. This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with a high IRQL.

I suggest you check that all your drivers are up-to-date.

  • Installing Windows XP blue screen

I get a blue screen error during the installation of Windows XP SP3. I tried to include the SATA drivers in Win XP installation with nLite, even that did not help.

I get this screen after the installation says, from the installation of Windows XP... http://bit.ly/oS54wm

    I solved the problem.

I had to change the type of hard disk driver in the bios and it worked fine. Most of the forums say change to Autodetect/AHCI, but for Legacy has worked for me.

  • KB2503665 causes a blue screen of death during restart

I'm on a Samsung Q210 running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 and used to have automatic updates enabled. Yesterday after installation of updates, the PC crashed with a BSoD during boot. I used Safe Mode to uninstall the updates one by one, and I've identified KB2503665 to be causing the blue screen of death. I tried to contact Microsoft support, but for some reason any their site tells me my ID of the computer cannot be used in the country, I reside (although I am sure that the version of Vista and the serial number are 100% legit).

Is it possible to configure the automatic updates as it automatically excludes this update in the future?

    Hello

    1. What is the blue stop screen error message?

You can follow the methods below and see if it works very well.

    Method 1

    Step 1

You can temporarily disable the anti-virus.

    Disable the antivirus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2

You can try to download and install the update manually and see if it works very well.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=26275

    Method 2

If the problem persists, you can auto hide the update.

    (a) click Start, point to all programs, and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    (b) click on custom.

    (c) click to uncheck the box next to the update you want to hide.

    (d) develop the update you want to hide, and then click to clear the don't show this update again check.

    (e) click on review and install the updates.
