Windows XP OEM EULA (Pavilion a400y)
My father-in-law has a hp Pavilion a400y with Win XP (SP1) OEM which is really slow.
If I'm working him up to 2 GB of memory and to change its processor Celeron to a faster processor of the same socket /(bus bandwidth) will disable I its MS Windows OEM license?
No, only a motherboard change will cause disabling XP OEM. The motherboard plug said max for memory 1 GB, but Crucial 2 GB HERE said. HP sometimes leans toward conservative, and Crucial camp offer guarantee of compatibility. They have never failed me. I noticed that his machine seems to have shipped with 256 GB of good memory_not. Still a helping hand for 1 GB would give great performance boost.
It might be a little more difficult to find a Pent 4 Northwood 400/533fsb.
He executed a full Destructive Restore? Installation of XP probably degrades years of accumulation, usually solved by a new installation.

Windows 7 OEM 64 bit and OPK kit?
I was told to buy Windows 7 OEM 64 bit. I want it for my own laptop for my own use, mainly for internet, itunes etc. I just saw on the packaging that I must use the OPK to install it, it is essential because I obviously do not have and not was not recommended, I still would.
The OPK is used by professional system integrators to prepare your computer before it is sold to a customer and make sure that things like the EULA is accepted.
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
OEM licenses must be installed by professional system manufacturers. Under Microsoft's OEM license agreement, they should not be sold to end-users under any circumstances, must be preinstalled on a computer using the preinstallation OEM (OPK) before delivery to the customer and include to the at least the manufacturer contact information. They are, therefore, designed for installation only on a single computer and are not transferable, even if the original computer is no longer in use. This isn't usually a problem for users who buy a new computer, because systems that most pre-assembled systems ship with a preinstalled operating system. There are very few circumstances where Microsoft will allow the transfer of licensed OEM for a non-functional system to another, but the OEM System Builder License Agreement (SBLA), as well as the EULA (EULA) OEM contract don't contain any provision for this, it is entirely at the discretion of Microsoft, depending on the situation

Windows 7 on Hp pavilion 2301sq g6
Hi, where can I find the drivers for windows 7 for hp pavilion 2301sq, because I want to delete win 8 from my laptop and install windows 7, but I can't find a driver for this operation sistem.
Hello:
First make your W8 recovery media set before installing W7. See the info on the link below for how to do this.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733
You should be able to use all of the drivers and software of this model.
Your model has the AMD/Intel switchable graphics, if you only install the AMD graphics driver for your model that will install the drivers for the two GPUS.
DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK
If your laptop is WiFi Ralink card, use these drivers wireless and bluetooth.

Is it possible to install my Windows 8 OEM only from my HP "Recovery Manager" without all the other stuff installed either HP "factory setting" software.
Thank you.

Hello
No, the game of factory settings will install "Presets" on your machine. I saw no OEM version, but if you want you can try to download Windows 8 Microsoft then sit back, HOPE he accepts the key in the BIOS.
Kind regards.

Regarding Windows 8 - OEM key built into the BIOS.
I have a pre installed Windows 8 HP Notebook (under warranty).
I get a new HP's HARD drive replacement.
My question is that if I install a Windows 8 Pro OS with a new activation code on Microsoft Store, then the original Windows 8 - OEM key integrated in the BIOS would get replaced by this new Windows 8 Pro activation key?
Or if the OEM of origin incorporated in the BIOS key will remain intact?
Hello
The original key from Windows 8 will remain integrated in the bios.
Kind regards

windows xp OEM on new HARD drive transfer
I have Windows XP OEM with key number, but no original record has been received. How can I transfer OS to a new larger HARD drive?
Thanks for assstance.
Many hard drive manufacturers provide an application of free software to do this. Visit the web site of the manufacturer of the new hard drive and maybe you'll find a. For example, Western Digital offers their free Acronis True Image WD Edition software for use with their hard drives Western Digital. Seagate offers their free Seagate DiscWizard for use with Seagate hard drives.

I run windows xp on HP Pavilion 750, in the past, I have not had a problem writing to the photos from my computer on disc.
It now written up so I get a message cannot keep any body can help please.
original title: problem writing Photos...
I'm sorry, but I don't have a solution for you. You can check the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) to see if there are warnings next to your CD burner. If there is a caution icon, double-click the entry and see what it says under "device status".
I don't know how you use picture & Fax Viewer to burn a CD. The usual method, except if you have 3rd party CD burning software, is to use Windows Explorer. This is what Windows XP Help & Support has to say on this topic:
To copy files and folders to a CD
- Insert a blank, writable CD into the CD burner.
- Open my computer.
- Click the files or folders to copy to the CD. To select multiple files, hold down the CTRL key while you click the files you want. Then, under file and folder tasks, click copy this file, copy this folder, or copy the selected items.
If the files are located in my pictures, under management of images, click copy to CD or copy all items to a CDand go to step 5.
- In the dialog box copy items , click the CD player record, and then click copy.
- In my computer, double-click the CD burner. Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Verify that the files and folders you want to copy to the CD appear under files ready to be written on the CD.
- Under CD writing tasks, click write these files to CD. Windows displays the Assistant burn a CD. Follow the instructions in the wizard.
Notes
- To open my computer, click Startand then click my computer.
- Do not copy more files to the CD that it will hold. Standard CD hold up to 650 megabytes (MB). Large capacity CD contain up to 850 MB.
- Don't forget that you have enough disk space on your hard disk to store the temporary files that are created during the CD writing process. For a standard CD, Windows reserves up to 700 MB of available disk space. For a high-capacity CD, Windows reserves up to 1 gigabyte (GB) of the available free space.
- After you copy files or folders to the CD, it is useful to view the CD to verify that the files are copied.
