Windows XP on T410 - pilot unknown

Hello

I installed Windows XP on my T410 (2537 - 25G)

I've got 3 unknown devices.

PCI serial port

PCI Simple Communications controller

unknown device.

No idea this here.

Thank you

Joe.

Hi montepe,

This should fix both the PCI Simple Communication and the PCI SERIAL controller:

http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-74374

I believe that the unknown device is the TPM module and if that's right, this is the driver you need:

http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-74404

Please let us know if these drivers solved the problem.

just installed windows 7 on my xps m1530.  everything is going well except the lack of unknown drivers. in the device, under 'other devices' Manager, I have two "base system device" that have no information to let me know what drivers to download. The location of the 1st base system device is bus PCI 3, device 9, function 2.  the location of the 2nd base system device is bus PCI 3, device 9, function 3.

the 1st base system device, under "Hardware ID" in the Properties tab, the value is

    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0843 & SUBSYS_022E1028 & REV_12
    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0843 & SUBSYS_022E1028
    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0843 & CC_088000
    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0843 & CC_0880

the 2nd two 'base system device' has a hardware Id of this:

    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0592 & SUBSYS_022E1028 & REV_12
    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0592 & SUBSYS_022E1028
    PCI VEN_1180 & DEV_0592 & CC_088000

If anyone can understand the drivers I need to install to these unknown base system devices please help me.

    Thank you

Download and install THIS driver. The file may list Vista but it will work on 7.  Do not use the Dell Download Manager. Make sure you only select the option to use the web browser to download the file

I assume you are using Windows Live Mail as you customer, NOT Windows Mail e-mail because Windows Mail does not support hot mail.
Open your e-mail program > tools > account > your hotmail account > properties > advanced. Under outgoing mail SMTP,.
Change SMTP port # to 587 NO 25 > click OK.
In addition, go back to the properties > servers. Make sre you checked on "my server requires authentication" > OK

  • I can't update of Windows security because of an unknown error. Also, I get frequent BSODS.

Good, so like I said, when I try to get the security updates, I get a message saying "year error occurred while of updates for your computer." Errors found: Code 80072EFE Windows Update encountered an unknown error. "Code 0 x 80244015 appears when I try the update of Defender.

I've had this laptop (it's a Toshiba Satellite L305, is told by the way) gave me down and it has a number of problems. Another problem taxing enough, it's that I had frequent dumps. Some programs that I want to uninstall used to uninstall because the uninstall file does not exist. I installed a free Revo Uninstaller Pro trial and that helped, but I still don't know what causes the dumps.

One of my recent problems with laptop computer is my computer crash dumps whenever I try to open Chrome now. It was working fine, then I would get BSOD as I just described, so I tried to uninstall it and then put it back, and it worked well again for the day, and then it happens again. I think it could be a virus. I also learned that it might be a registry error and I can change my registry, but I know almost nothing about computers, so maybe I need to walk through this.

I have AVG and I used it to scan the computer and I also scanned with the Defender, and both programs have only seen adware. I don't really think that could do much harm. I'm not sure. Right now, it looks like a big mess of problems.

I think I should also add that the laptop has no trackpad software installed, or at least that's what it looks like. The former owners told me that the trackpad has never worked. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Any advice will help, please leave as much as possible.

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         (Numbers KB) updates you install?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished.
