Windows XP SP3 USB errors / unknown devices with Plug and Play

I have problems with USB flash drives and other plug-and-play devices detected by windows. After taking all possible measures to correct this problem (e.g. windows update, chip / update of the bios, update driver, driver and media ultilites reinstall, uninstall and allow windows update after restarting, removal of hidden devices and even remote tech support from Dell) whenever I connect a flash drive or use all plug-and-play devices it is detected as an unknown device and I can not put updated pilot any port I use. Hardware problems were excluded dute to recognition of the device and USB keyboard and USB mouse are functioning properly. Also these same plug-and-play devices worked well on other items of work. After Googling my eyeballs, I gave up and need help please. The only thing I can do now is to reinstall the operating system that really, really, I don't want to do.

UPDATE *.

Dell has replaced the motherboard and the problem was solved. Thanks to all here who offered advice and patience.

  • Confused and IVI compared with plug-and-play instrument drivers

I'm just going up to LabVIEW and see that when I go to download instrument drivers, there are several lists.  One is a Plug-and-Play and the other is typically IVI.  What is the difference?  So far, I've been through the course of the lesson no. 1 and lesson #2 Basic Developer, but we have not touched on the use of the downloaded drivers.

IVI: Interchangeable Virtual Instrument. With the help of this software layer allows the developer to work with an independent 'generic instrument' of the manufacturer (e.g. Agilent DMM VX OR DMM).

Plug 'n' Play driver: the driver for the same instance of an instrument, necessary for the operating system to identify and drive the instrument. The driver is device-specific.

  • Unknown device with location "on system compatible ACPI Microsoft"

I have an unknown device with location "on system compatible ACPI Microsoft". Under the hardware ID, its value reads "ACPI\INT33A0".

I have an ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP, a Zotac GeForce GTX 670, an Intel I7 3770, team Vulcan 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) 240-pin DDR3 1600 SDRAM and a SSD MLC of Mushkin Chronos SATA 3. All the these are listed in the devices, with the exception of the memory manager, of course. In addition, all these should have already installed the drivers, but I could be wrong somehow.
Anyone know what is the device? Where can I get the drivers for it? And what to do?
    Thank you very much!

I hope that my answer is not too late. But I ran into the same problem today. The unknown device is part of the Intel Smart Connect technology. If you do not need just disable it in the BIOS/UEFI Governing Council.

  • Windows XP 32 bit ceased to recognize plug and play devices.

Recently, I had a virus and had to reinstall windows. After installation, I've updated all the drivers and Windows updates. My mouse, keyboard, monitor, and wireless adapter to work correctly. After about 3 weeks, I went to install my printer. I installed the hardware, but it could not connect to the printer. I followed the instructions of the manufacturer again and again but it never connects. His grateful sound because when I turn on the printer or offshore, I hear 'bing', but it doesn't connect. I used the "New hardware found" Wizard with the disc in the drive and it looks right and research, he never does the program on the disk. I tried to use the camera to Windows and the scanner Wizard with no luck.
After that I gave up, I tried to use my camera, that has worked well until I reinstalled it and it happens "New hardware found" and the "new hardware detected" appears, but it does not recognize the CD, just look and watch for hours. I got fed up and finally bought a "plug and play" card reader SD and the bubble appears in the toolbar "new hardware found", but then the "new hardware found" stands and asks a disc! Its a PLUG and PLAY! There is no disc! The material is on the device! It's not my USB ports because he DOES not see something trendy and I checked Device Manager and he said his work without no problems found, but it does not connect to it. Does anyone have any info on what this might be? ANY help with this is greatly appreciated! Thank you

    Hi pressure,

Peripheral Plug n Play need driver for the operation.

PnP means that you do not have to restart the computer to install something.

I suggest to update the drivers for the chipset of your motherboard and see if a firmware update is available for your BIOS.

  • Problems with Plug n Play device drivers

I try to manually install drivers of Plug-and-Play devices for my Aglient 81104 A pulse generator, and I'm having a little difficulty. I found the instructions to know how to manually extract the files, but the instructions say to paste the folder (which contains two files .llb and about 10 files without extensions) to "National Instruments\LabVIEW\instr.lb", but the thing is, I do not have a folder under \LabVIEW\ \instru.llb. All I have is 'MAX' 'NOR-DAQ' and 'shared '. I tried the search function for a folder called instr.lib, but I couldn't find one on the computer. I made a new folder instru.lib and run one of the files .llb, which opened in LabVIEW, manually, but they gave me ten mistakes most read like this

    "-VI should happen to ': \hp81110a\hp81110a.llb\HP81110A Reset.vi' has been charged with"C:\Users\Lab\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp1_hp81110a.zip\hp81110a.llb\HP81110A Reset.vi"

I tried to manually navigate to the folder \AppData as to move to the folder where they were expected, but I did not see this .vi when I opeend my user \Lab\ folder.

    What happens here?

    Thanks in advance!

Your operating system is windows, no?

    You search under \Program Files\National Instruments\LabVEW (version)?

Apparently not that you are looking in the right folder of LabVIEW.  You should see:

I can't get my printer recognized by plug-and-play.  I have installed a printer manually, but still can not get to work.  All boards

    Hello Kirk,

I'm not sure what you mean by "manually installed", but you need a print driver for the printer recognized by Windows. Go to this page to download the driver you need for whatever version of Windows you have: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=14497&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=25522&prodTypeId=18972&lang=en&cc=us .

Once you have downloaded the right print driver, I let the computer do the installation.  NOTE: you may need to completely uninstall what you've done "manually" so that the correct driver is working correctly. See the HP Web site for more information (I'd do it, but I do not know what operating system you have and its depth of Bit (32 or 64)).

Post here if you need further instructions or assistance (be sure to include your OS and Bit depth). Let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • Problems with the Realtek and Plug-and-Play driver

Until recently, I noticed a red circle with an X in it by the sound on the taskbar icon. When I switch on it it says no audio device installed and when I go into the Device Manager there is a yellow triangle on my Realtek High Def Audio Driver. When I click on it I get this error:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) »

The Plug-and-Play driver also seems to give me the same exact error (Code 52) and has the yellow triangle next to him as well.

    Hi Eric,.

This problem occurred if the driver can be signed or corrupted.

I suggest you go to the Web to Realtek site, download and install the drivers by selecting the right device.
