  When you click Restart, Windows 7 Pro will not reboot with a printer hp (L7680 or C309a) turned on.  The screen remains right on "Starting Windows".  Windows continues to load after that whatever printer is turned on.

  This problem just started.  Never happened before.  I could always click on restart without problem before.

  I see that you have a problem with the sequence of starting your Windows 7 Pro computer when one of your 2 HP printers are turned on.  How are these 2 printers connected to this PC?

  Looks like that devices can be connected to USB and somehow the computer boot sequence put the emphasis for USB on the internal HARD disk.

  Using Windows XP Pro sp3 IE8, I can not connect to Update from MS - start a program Microsoft Update, as well as IE or open Microsoft uptate tools; I get Page cannot be displayed. Diag is nothing. IE8 seems to work very well, I can get to all other web pages.

  I did however download download the file TDSSKiller.zip from http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.zip

  And that has worked very well all missing issues updated works very well.

  Well, after a few hours, I realized what was causing the problem.  It was a product called Rollback RX.  Once I downloaded and installed the latest version, that the problem has been resolved.

• Freshly reinstalled Windows 7 Pro will not activate

  I have a Dell Optiplex 780, which has a Windows 7 Pro OEM sticker on it.  For some reason the previous TECHNOLOGY provider decided to install Windows XP on this machine and I am trying to fix this error.

  Windows 7 pro install disc on my desktop PC.  It says I need a cd/dvd driver.  Of course my driver to work or I would not get that much. So which driver should I and where do I get it?  Or y at - it another way around this?  I'm currently running Vista.

  It seems that your installation media is corrupted or the copy of Windows 7 Professional allows you to create a bootable copy is corrupt.

  When I try to run widows day in win vista ult the widowed window update come but its Blanck and will never load. I can't close it even without end for the Task Manager task.   I hope that following the below mentioned steps will solve your shutdown problem

  (1) Open Start menu and type "regedit" (without qoutes) and press ENTER.
  (2) This opens the registry editor.
  (3) make sure that you back up the registry before you continue. (To do this, click on 'File' then 'export' and give a name to your backup file).
  4) go to the following location:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager

  (5) once open, on the right side, look for entry ' BootExecute'. Double-Clcik on it.
  (6) delete all of its 'Value data' part and write the following in it:
  autocheck autochk *.
  and press OK.
  (7) now, "RESTART" (including press SHUTDOWN) your computer.
  (8) after successful restart, press the STOP button.
  He must now shut down your computer as before.

After the replacement of what I did full software recovery with Windows 8 Professional CD I ordered a Lenovo time ago. But after the Windows installation is not triggered it. I discovered that time settings where wrong. After changing the correct setting, I restart the system and hope for the best. But still Windows won't turn on anymore.

  I just format the hard drive and install Windows 10. Windows 10 was activate very well! The main reason why I installed Windows 8 was first because I thought that it was necessary for the activation of Windows 10.

  So it works very well!

  Believe me, I know it's a real pain starting over with my main computer die and have to reinstall everything on another computer. It takes a lot of time, but the good side, it's the right time to get rid of what you don't really want more.

• Windows Media Center will not update EPG beyond 3 February 2016 UK

  I'm running Windows 7 on a PC with TV tuner that is connected to our TV. The EPG ceased to update and shows nothing more than Wednesday, Feb. 3.

  I tried the update of the EPG by following the steps suggested in the help section and other forums. WMC said it has updated successfully each time, but it didn't.

  What could I do next? Or is it an alter program that can play and record TV in a similar way to WMC?

  Help! Last year, Internet Explore kept closing (Data Execution Prevention) so I switched to Firefox, which is great, but since then Windows media Player will not work. Moved this year on the campus of the University and since then (using the University proxy server) install windows updates is no longer. It's a new laptop me issued by the University last year, is come pre-programmed with Vista and Office, Media Direct and other programs, most of which I didn't use.  Technical support here at uni cant/wont help... can you?

  Take note of the results of the System File Checker.  Then after you run the two, run Windows Update.

  You are able to update of AVG?
  Any other antivirus (i.e. Norton, McAfee, etc.) has already been installed on this computer?
  When you say 'Nothing' that you tried to install?
  If you disable AVG and then run Windows Update you get a different outcome\error?
