  I am and have been, problems with a computer Windows XP here at work that does not detect critical updates either Windows Update or Microsoft Update.  In fact, the only update that is currently available to me is one for Silverlight.  I also checked that no update is currently hidden.  In addition, when checking "Add/Remove Programs" when you select the check box 'Show updates', that an update installed is listed: Security Update for Windows XP (KB923786).

  As I suspected, the computer has a (very early) beta of SP3 installed. Uninstall, reboot twice, and then install Windows XP SP3 Final [1] & restart twice again.

• How to disable the feature in Windows 7 to change all downloaded files for underscores instead of spaces in the name?

  I'm having a problem where any file I download from the internet is modifed by Windows 7.  Underscores instead of spaces added.  I use IE 8 32-bit on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.   This issue is causing users a problem because most of our Applications are Web applications, and there are a lot of files that must be downloaded for reports or the import feature.

  Is their a solution to this problem/bug in Windows 7?  To review other forums on the Net, it seems that the change occurs because any file from a website hosted server must not have any spaces because it cannot be accepted if used in a URL.

  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

• Windows 7 appears not all hearts

  Previously, I had Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit no service pack installed upward on the AMD FX 6100. The Windows experience index, the number of processors hearts was leaked like 6. After replacing my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit service Pack 1 operating system, I found that the number of specified processor cores became 3 instead of 6.   • The computer must be connected to the internet or local networks (i.e. other computers) in its current state. All your personal data (e.g., banking online & passwords credit card) must be considered at risk, if not already compromised.

  Then what are you doing now?

  • If you want to transfer your personal data to the new computer, backup data from one or more DVDs (no shine). Perform analyses considered at least two 2 online (e.g., ESET;) Kaspersky; Bit Defender) of the DVD (s) before you transfer the data to the new computer.

• Drive HARD 2000-0146, windows Security Center does not, all downloads have refused as containing viruses. PDF answer either.

• Windows Media Player does not all videos from my camcorder.

  Have used Windows Media Player for many years on my dell. Usually to see the videos from Sony handycam. Just downloaded wmediaplayer and recent videos from Camcorder will not open one of the videos.
