  Hi all

  I just reinstalled windows 7 Prof 64 X on my Presario CQ62-a20ED.

  LAN works but I don't have a cable at the moment so I can't connect to the internet in anyway (otherwise I might even leave the compaq/HP website scan my drivers)

  So, I'm fresh out of the idea.

  OK, so ive read a lot on the forums and many people have solved their problems by installing the drivers. So here's my problem:

  Unable to connect to the internet. The installation wizard comes up then I accpet the terms of the contract, then it displays a loading screen and then it says: complete installation and then complete the wizard. but I can always connect to the internet...   Right - I myself solved by finding the relevant info on the Netgear forum. This article describes change some settings on the Netgear router. For the benefit of someone else knows the same or similar problem and for the technical gurus at HP, that's what I did:

  Activate these settings in the configuration of the QoS.

  Activate -WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) parameters (b/g/n 2.4 GHz) (box)
  Activate -WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) parameters (5 GHz a/d) (box)

  (in my case I need not turn on WMM for the 5 GHz band, but just in case I need it in the future I did anyway...)

  Don't ask why it works or what it means: it works!

  HP does not support your model for W7.

  You should be able to use the W7 x 64 drivers and software from the HP 2000 t - 2A 00, except the BIOS and firmware files.

• HP MIni 210-2145 DX: clean install of Windows 7, now I can't find the wireless drivers that work.

  I have a HP mini 210-2145 DX.  I recently had to do a clean install of Windows Ultimate edition.  Now, I can get a wireless connection because I can't find the right drivers on the HP site.  I tried 12 + drivers that I downloaded.  They all seem to be for 32 bits, and it's 64-bit.

  Try this different file and see if it works automatically and installs the driver.

  I have no problem downloading the file, or by using 7 - zip to extract the exe file downloaded to a folder that you can browse from the network controller to install the drivers.

  Unfortunately, I can't help you with the problem if the new file does not work.

  Nothing. I'm puzzled.

  Once again, my device manager everything is CLEAN with the exception of one device that has a yellow warning mark that says: controller network, and has properties of (bus PCI 4, device 0, function 0)
