  Shows the internal circuits of the DAC are referenced to ground so there is no way to internally isolate it / provide any reference.

  Maybe there is another way to make the desired effect? I don't know the details of your request to suggest everything.

• Help configuration USB-6009 for experience

  I am a new user of LabVIEW. I bought a USB-6009, and I need to acquire data from a pair of electrodes and a differential pressure sensor. Here is a schematic representation of the how, I think that everything has to be hung. I just have a few questions on Setup before I run my experience.

  

  I'll use the electrodes to measure the voltage drop. However, I wonder if I need a reference to Earth connected to substantive GND PIN. This is because I will operate the electrodes in the range of +/-20 V and according to the user's guide, each pin has a maximum voltage of +/-10 V with respect to the GND. I guess that means that the + ve electrode measures + 15 V wrt to GND and the electrode measures - ve - 5 V wrt to GND, data acquisition will give a reading of 15 V instead of 20 V. So if I need a reference to the ground, what can I connect to pin down GND?

  During this experience, I also will collect data of an Omega-PX26-030DV differential pressure sensor, which has a maximum output voltage of 100mV. It will be powered by a specialist Circuit CSI3005T power supply to 10 VDC. I think I made the right connections, but what I also connect the Terminal GND 4 on data acquisition on the GND power supply?

  
  

• Where can I find the Helper of Plot Bar 3D LabVIEW in 2014?

  Sorry if this question is trivial. I know this is supposed to be pretty simple. However I fail to solve the problem.

  I need to generate a 3D bar plot.  For this, I found the attached example VI: 3D bar with custom labels chart 2013.vi.  I tested this 2013 LabVIEW VI and worked perfectly.  However, I have to work with LabVIEW 2014 (German edition, SP1, f3). When I opened this VI with the 2014 version, I get a broken VI.

  I realize I don't think 3D Helper.vi of Plot Bar where I used to find it in the version of 2013 in my 2014 LabVIEW (see image of attachen). In addition the broken VI seems not to recognize the custom 3-d bar graph indicator.

  I appreciate any help you can provide to me!

  Hello everyone!

  I just found the cause of this behavior. The Helper of Plot 3D Bar is not available in the basic development system.  It was possible to see in the 2013, because it was a trial version where the VI is available!

  I use USB-6009. I have problem in Input.I digital did not connect anything on all channels. But all of the DI/O channels generate 5 volts. And I tested the DI/operating system in the Test Panel also. All digital inputs are high. How I use it? Please suggest me the solution.

  You're the one who said it was generating 5V. And I said that a fine should be detected as a logic one. Connect a gnd input.

  When it starts, all of the default value of I/O at the entrances.

  I thought about it. After allowing it in the bios, you will have to activate the windows power plan to do. Here's what you do,

  1. make a right-click the battery icon

  2. go in power options

  3. click on "change plan settings" for plan what ever you want.

  4. click on "change the power settings advanced".

  5 scroll / click on "USB settings".

  6. When you get to "USB selective suspend setting" turn off for the two dough and plugged in, this will allow current USB when the laptop is turned off or in sleep.

  I would like to know if you have any other questions.

  IAM using USB 8473 Receive messages on CAN Bus. For what Iam using CAN Receive.vi and Net Interface Logging.vi. IAM receiving messages correctly, but I have a problem in arbitration received IDS. If the current arbitration ID is 0 x 14FF0001 (Extended) then Iam receive as 0 x 34FF0001, and if the arbitration ID is 0 x CFF0127 then Iam receive as 0 x 2CFF0127. However, the channel in the frame information is correct. Can someone help me how to fix this problem. The first 2digits are 14 is dispalying 34 or if the first digit is C, it takes 2 c.

  I try to acquire analog signals with NI USB 6009 using LabVIEW. (The signal is 50 Hz of the functional generator).

  However, the acquired singnal has dynamic splitters, which is NOT observed by my oscilloscope.

  I have no idea why this phase shift occurs.

  You have here a Subvi, I don't see what's inside and how it is configured. In addition, this while loop is ridiculous: there is no button to stop him running. Never use the red button to abandon for a normal shutdown of a VI!

  Why you have configured NChan NSample? Measure a unique signal, Yes? For example, use 1 channel only.

  Edit: why do not you play first with an example given, delivered with LabVIEW?

  Your LabVIEW, go to the Help menu--> find--> material and output examples--> DAQmx--> entry--> and open 'Input.VI - constant tension!

  This VI allows to enjoy your analog signal.

I'm doing a thesis that the project using Labview and acquisition of data NOR UBS-6009 to simulate the function generator, Oscilloscope, Digital Microsoft (DMM)... and now I'm simulating DMM. I managed to measure the voltage and resistance which i use voltage divider method, but I encountered a problem with the current measurement. The problem is the USB-6009 to measure use the current, it measures an incorrect value. I tried to use the current CQI 0-20mA Sample.vi example but it always measures an incorrect value. If NI USB-6009 supports for the measuring current? Is there a way to measure the currents using USB-6009? Please, help me. This thesis project is so important for me. Thank you.

  Since you are a student in electrical engineering, I'll show you how to know the answers to your questions.

  1. review the specifications for the USB-6009 case.  In particular look at the specifications of analog input.

  2. How would you measure current if you had only a voltmeter?  Use the same method with the USB-6009 case.  (Tip: apply the Ohm's law).

  General comment: when using any measuring instrument, always consider maximum permitted values at the entrances so that the instrument is not damaged

  and the measure is accurate.

After 2-3 hours on a bike (I / AO to read read States), program appears with an error (6) generic file i/o. Looks like the system is out of resources. At this point if I try to start any program Windows it will say not enough resources. I have attached photos for Affairs of State machine.  I have another case to HAVE / AO start Task (DAQ CONFIG). and a separate for stop and clear (EXIT). I tried to launch the task read cases, but my loop time will almost double. Out of this state machine, I also have an another loop (watchdog) while running at the rate of 100 ms. All ideas will be useful.

  You were right! Is that a program Anti Virus (myagtsvc.exe) was consuming memory. I killed it and good life. Thanks for your help!

• inputs and outputs analog digital usb 6009

  I'm having a problem with my USB 6009 in labview programming.  I try to read continuously from the analog inputs while having an event focused on digital output within the same program/vi.  Basically, I need to taste all the time the analog inputs while having an event defined by the user (button control) to signal the digital inputs to turn on then after awhile.  The event of digital output must be independent of the analog sampling system.  I was throwing the "error already allocated resource" in most of the vi, I wrote to try to achieve.  What is programmatically possible with usb 6009?  I am at my wits end trying to do this and any help would be greatly appreciated (by myself and my boss).  Thanks in advance for your answers.

  See a voltage floating as this can sometimes be the result of a measure badly grounded.  It would be useful, like Dennis, to know how you have this wired up.  Please take a look at this guide to make sure that the device is properly connected to Earth:

  The example Finder has also several screws that already do it for you.  If you work in 2012 before LabVIEW, look for Acq Cont & chart voltage-Int of the Clk.vi in the Finder of the example.  LabVIEW 2012 will have a similar named VI voltage - Software-Timed Input.vi.
