USB-6009 / Labview

I have a USB-6009 on Labview State Machine 2 analog outputs and control playback of 2 analog inputs. There is also a file entry in HAVE read state. After 2-3 hours on a bike (I / AO to read read States), program appears with an error (6) generic file i/o. Looks like the system is out of resources. At this point if I try to start any program Windows it will say not enough resources. I have attached photos for Affairs of State machine.  I have another case to HAVE / AO start Task (DAQ CONFIG). and a separate for stop and clear (EXIT). I tried to launch the task read cases, but my loop time will almost double. Out of this state machine, I also have an another loop (watchdog) while running at the rate of 100 ms. All ideas will be useful. I use this program on a dual core laptop.

You were right! Is that a program Anti Virus (myagtsvc.exe) was consuming memory. I killed it and good life. Thanks for your help!

  • How to open and close an electronic shutter with LabView 8.5.1 using an NI USB-6009 case?

Also, I need to set up a timer so that the shutter is open for 15 minutes and closed for 30 minutes.  It has to do 500 times.

The USB-6009 case is a relatively new device, and LabVIEW 8.5.1 is a fairly old software. You should check to be sure that you have the corresponding to your version of LabVIEW (DAQmx) drivers that support of this material. It sounds as if you put it in place to MAX and control the output manually, which is a good sign. I don't have access to the version 8.5.1 and I do not exactly remember which functions he supported, but the attached picture shows a simple diagram in a new version of LabVIEW that would do what you want. Of course, you should test with shorter and less iterations because it takes more than 2 weeks to complete! Add any controls, indicators and the error checking you want.

  • Why LabVIEW 2012 does not support USB-6009?

    Hi all

I recently installed LabVIEW 2012 and DAQmx 9.6 (and also tried with latest version) in my PC with Windows 7. I have the version of Explorer 5.4 measure and automation. I'm working with hardware DAQ USB 6009. Everything seems compatible, but when I try to post data acquisition, it fails. However, I used to use this device (since I bought it last year) with the other PC that has the Windows XP operating system and the older version of LabVIEW 8.5.

What can I do with LabVIEW 2012 is a message "a 88302 error has occurred." and "This could be an internal error."

If someone has an idea to solve the problem, please let me know.

    devkotaj

    Hi devkotaj,

The USB-6009 device should work perfectly on Windows 7 with the software you have listed. This looks like a problem of configuraiton of material for me.

What are you trying to do when you receive the error 88302? This error usually indicates a corrupt DAQmx driver, which may result from the installation of several DAQmx versions on the same machine. Have you tried repairing your installation DAQmx? I could uninstall DAQmx from the Control Panel before installing the latest driver. You can see our procedure to reinstall or uninstall recommenedd here.

    I hope this helps!

  • With the help of USB-6009 with LabView 8.0

I try to use a USB-6009 with LabView 8.0 box.  I DAQmx 8.8 (that came with the unit) installed and verified that the 6009 works correctly through MAX I also read on this site that the 6009 is compatible with LabView 7 or more.  However, I am unable to get LabView to recognize the device.  Using LabView, to use a DAQ hardware I have to select "Input" in the palette 'Functions'  But there is no range "Input".  Actually I can't find the DAQ Assistant Express VI anywhere.

Do I need to use a different version of the DAQmx?  If so, which and where can I find it?

    Thank you.

LabVIEW 8.0 is not supported with DAQmx 8.8. I think that the last version with support for 8.0 is DAQmx 8.6.1. You can uninstall 8.8 and install 8.6.1. You should really consider upgrading your version of LabVIEW. NOR has decided to limit support for 7.1 8.0 just now. The latest version of DAQmx manages to only 8.2.x and higher.

  • Is it possible to install a usb-6009 Dasylab box?

I need to install a usb-6009 case in Dasylab, but Dasylab not recogise daqmx devices, or what it looks like.

We can only provide active support for current versions of DASYLab (V11 and V10), therefore, it is not much of help available.

  • Simulate signals wired to the DAQ assistant for USB-6009 device

    Hello

I'm trying to send a signal to the DAQ Assistant Express VI.  I watched the movie "Generating a Signal" on the Web site of NOR (www.ni.com/academic/students/learnlabview/generate.htm) and I have my Signal simulate connected directly on the DAQ Assistant, as shown in this film.  In my case, the DAQ Assistant sends the signal to a device USB-6009.

    However, I received this message:

Error-200077 occurred to the DAQ Assistant
    Possible reasons:

Requested value is not supported for this property value. The value of the property may be invalid because it is in conflict with another property.

    Property: SampTimingType
    asked the value: Sample clock
    You select: On-demand

If I select 'On Demand' in my DAQ assistant and run the vi everything works beautifully.  However, I need my DAQ assistant to be configured to generate a waveform AC continuous, not output a single alternating current rippling.

What happens here?  I did not have this problem before on other devices of NOR. I am using LABView 2010.

    Please answer.

    Thank you.

  • temperature sensor with the acquisition of data usb-6009

    Greeting

I want to use a sensor with usb-6009 to save the variation of body temperature about 15 minutes and then use these data in labview.

If you please you can advise me with the best low-cost use and the way/circuit sensor connect it to the usb-6009.

    Hi ba7soun,

If you can use with USB-6009 LM35 depends on the range of output voltage of the sensor. I understand that it requires a 5V supply with respect to the ground, which you can provide to the USB-6009 (more than 200 my should not come from the USB-6009).

The maximum range of the USB-6009 is - 10V to + 10V, while the minimum range is - 1V to + 1V, also probably the output signal of the LM35 will be in this range. What you need to do is to compare the full range of the output signal with the range of the DAQ divided by 2exp (14) (because it is a 14 bit ADC) and ensure that the first is much more than the latter.

    Kind regards

  • measurement of current with usb-6009

Hi, my name is hung and I am a student in electrical engineering... I'm doing a thesis that the project using Labview and acquisition of data NOR UBS-6009 to simulate the function generator, Oscilloscope, Digital Microsoft (DMM)... and now I'm simulating DMM. I managed to measure the voltage and resistance which i use voltage divider method, but I encountered a problem with the current measurement. The problem is the USB-6009 to measure use the current, it measures an incorrect value. I tried to use the current CQI 0-20mA Sample.vi example but it always measures an incorrect value. If NI USB-6009 supports for the measuring current? Is there a way to measure the currents using USB-6009? Please, help me. This thesis project is so important for me. Thank you.

    Hung,

Since you are a student in electrical engineering, I'll show you how to know the answers to your questions.

    1. review the specifications for the USB-6009 case.  In particular look at the specifications of analog input.

    2. How would you measure current if you had only a voltmeter?  Use the same method with the USB-6009 case.  (Tip: apply the Ohm's law).

General comment: when using any measuring instrument, always consider maximum permitted values at the entrances so that the instrument is not damaged

    and the measure is accurate.

Let us know how you do.

  • OR USB-6009 daq sample following loss, while the loop iteration

    Hello

I am trying to acquire and display data measured from a DAQ NI USB-6009 material using Labview 2015. I am using the wizard daq defined for the differential mode and n samples with the sample rate and the total number of samples registration by the user. My problem is that when the specified amount of samples is acquired and the while loop continues to the next iteration, some samples are removed (I know because I tested it acquire a wave of fishing and there is a noticeable artifact in the signal at times where the while loops - I downloaded a file showing this artifact in a wave of fishing that was recorded with a sample rate of 1000 Hz 500 samples of recording each) iteration which means that the artifact occurs every half second).

I think that this can be corrected by simply taking off the while loop daq assistant and specifying the number of samples you want the entire test to acquire. However, I would like to see the signal in a graph as its achievements and the daq can acquire data indefinitely until the user presses the stop which, to my knowledge, it would take a while looping. I downloaded my vi for reference, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Set your Acqisition Mode on "samples continues."

N samples: reads the desired number of samples and stops.  Will read once again what DAQ Assistant is represented.  In other words, that there is a gap of time between readings.

Continuous samples: data acquisition just constantly reads the data.  The DAQ Assistant just gets the number of requested samples and data acquisition keeps just read and store it in the buffer.

  • Problem of analog sinusoidal input USB-6009

    Hello

I am a newbie to Labview. I'm using Labview 2009 and USB-6009. I tried to use USB-6009 to display the input sinewave of function generator signal. First of all, the perfect sinusoidal looking at the frequency of 1 kHz, but when I changed the frequency of 10 kHz, the sinusoid turned into a triangle wave. When I test the input signal, I put the 48 kHz sampling and Terminal configuration is CSR. Is there a problem with USB-6009?

You really need to spend some time to study sampling and Nyquist theorem-not LabVIEW. To faithfully reproduce the shape of the sine wave, you must go to a sampling rate 10 times higher than your input frequency. With the 6009, i.e. limit the entry less than 5 kHz.

  • USB-6009 not recognized after the blue screen of death

I have two devices USB-6009, used with NOR-DAQmx and Labview to make some analogue simple analogue input and output.  The USB box - two 6009 were previously works very well on this PC.  Recently, I got a blue screen of death, associated with a different USB device to (non - OR) connected to the PC.  I not save the information of the blue screen of death.  When I restarted the computer, the USB-6009 devices were no longer recognized by Labview / MAX.  The Green LED on the USB - 6009 s do not come.  The USB - 6009 s appear in the Device Manager of Windows with a yellow exclamation point ("Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device").  If I connect the USB-6009 case to another PC, MAX recognizes them on this PC, and I get the usual flashing green LED.  If I connect another USB-6009 (never connected to this PC), I get a green LED solid, and, says Windows cannot load the driver.

I am running Vista, Labview 8.5 and NOR-DAQmx 8.9.  I rebooted 5 - 6 times, I tried disabling and the reactivation of the USB-6009 by windows Device Manager, I tried the options "update driver" in Device Manager.  Any advice on how else to solve it?  Thank you!

The driver update and turn do nothing to the main driver - DAQmx. Reinstall or repair that.

  • OR USB-6009

    Hello

I'm trying to use a box NI USB-6009 to acquire a low frequency signal (~ 1-2 Hz).  I ran into the problem that the hardware supports only with a levy 'On Demand', so I can't set the number of samples, I want or the frequency with DAQmx features in LabVIEW.  Because timing is essential to the functioning of my VI, I must be able to know what is the sampling frequency.  What is the best way to determine this?  A screenshot of one of the sections of my VI where I use DAQmx is attached.  You can see that I'm really the time between each loop itneration, I read a sample by loop.  Is there a better way to take a series of samples?

    Kind regards

    Steve

    Fantastic!

I had used normally the method you described, but has encountered an error in MAX telling me that I could not choose the option to "samples continues."  However, now it works.  Don't know what changed, but in may cases, thank you.

    Kind regards

  • Oscilloscope for the acquisition of data from the usb-6009 or - example of temporal division for 5 seconds, 10 seconds

    Hey Hey everyone

I was looking for an example for two-channel oscilloscope virtual using e/s all-in-one of the 14 bits of NI DAQ USB 6009. I tried to research for example BOF time division or s/div for 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds.  but was shocked to find that there is no reference for it. The range of oscilloscoper virtual

Minimum - 10 micro s / div maximum -10milli second div but there is no example for 1 second / div or 5 seconds / div...  If anyone can guide me. I'm new to labview environment.

This is the oscilloscope two sample obtained from google search. is there material limitations. ?

I'm working on continuous 4-channel data acquisition data acquisition using niusb 6009

The sampling frequency is sufficient for any desired s/div. The sample rate is 12 ksamples / s per channel, so if that meets the Nyquist criteria for the input signal, you can capture it. The number of samples has no effect on that with the exception of the amount of the signal you acquire. Your chart is not stable, if you do not trigger the acquisition. Even as real significance, therefore your emulation seems actually successful.

  • USB-6009 software simultaneous timed output analog

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I worked on a LabVIEW interface to a potentiostat I designed and built. I'm not very experienced with LabVIEW, but do they have experience with a variety of other languages (I had originally intend to use an FPGA for this, but he has been asked to write a LabVIEW VI first) programming.

    The goal:

I want to output a voltage (initially consisting of ramps) signal and measure the voltage with an operational amplifier configured as an ammeter of feedback (using resistance feedback and voltage value to calculate current) connected to an electrochemical cell. The resistance of feedback is selected by using an automatic selection function (although I wrote a version prior to manual control) as TTL values using the DAQ Assistant to select relevant MUX channel outputs. I then try to save the data in a spreadsheet.

    The problem:

I use an acquisition of data USB-6009, and I know that there is a hardware clock. Read all about him seemed obvious, the best way to the waveform of the output voltage used DAQmx package to define a function of writing in a loop that is clocked by the software. The problem I have is that I can't synchronize the output to the input with reliability and I have also some errors related to resources DAQ being reserved (error 50103). I think the way to solve this would be to convert every equivalent DAQmx DAQ Assistant and try to group their execution - this is where I fall. I tried to write a simple VI who shared a loop clocked by the software to read and write but had problems related to the value of min HAVE (error 200077).

    General issues:

How I begin the process of read/write (with a Boolean switch) is very weak and doesn't feel not robust. Ideally, I would like to some form of indicator to warn the user when the read/write process is running and when it ended.

My error handling is terrible, but I find no big thing to read about the basics.

I use only a sequence of no and I think I should have more.

Once I hit the beginning, VI requires the file name for the worksheet - at first, I was afraid that data would be entered correctly, but I think it's okay because the file is generated and then changed. It would be better if the user asked for the name of the file once completed the data collection.

Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Sincere greetings,

    Julius

The hardware supports timed 6009 entry analog. Even with the 1Samp mode, your code could be simplified with a single task and several channels (dev1\ai0:1). Then use Nchan 1Samp.
