With Ubuntu - wellcome very slow when screen Toshiba NB100 no wifi access
Hello
I am a new user of ubuntu on nb100 and I have a problem when there is no wifi connection:
Wellcome Toshiba ubuntu with every choice menu (games, administration, internet...) work very quickly when WiFi is okay and on and if you are in other cases, it works very, very slowly.
Other cases, it means:
-ubuntu stop you lan connections,
- or are you somewhere without wifi connections
If you have already loaded programs that that program working normally, it is only the menu toshiba ubuntu that does not work properly. When you share a program to the Ubuntu menu, sometimes, you have a blank screen instead of work well
I hope someone can help me
Thank you.

This problem occurs when you use the menu of ubuntu GUI written by toshiba, I think, because if you use ALT - F1, everything goes fast.
Hello!
It is a known issue on Windows systems. If you n t use the WLAN and connect to the local network and you have active DHCP it will takes a lot of time on start up because the operating system tries to get an IP address from the DHCP server.
Try to assign a static IP address, and the problem should be solved.
Good bye

Hello
I bought the latest samsung computer (notebook 9) three weeks ago. My laptop is very slow when I go on the internet. I have three other phones in my house and they all work very well. Is there any configuration that I should look because the guy told me that it is all the pre-configured.
Thank you

Hello Pierre,.
I suggest that you look at this article from Microsoft that can help solve a slow internet connection: -
No sticker with the license number Windows XP for Toshiba NB100
I lost the sticker with the license number Windows XP for Toshiba NB100. I have an invoice.
How can I recover the license number?Licensed refused to support this topic.
Hello
You can't get the license number.
First the sticker on the bottom of the unit has been a serial OEM key. This key cannot be used and would not work under Win XP installed system costs. The point is that Toshiba image which was preinstalled on this laptop has already been activated, which means that this key has been useless.
I assume that you have not created a disk recovery Toshiba (or flash USB stick) in the past? Right?
These records would be reinstall the image of Toshiba containing the active Win XP system.Well, usually it of possible to order this disc [here | http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx] but I think that would be more because of the age of the laptop.
Solution: you have to buy Win XP with valid serial key.

PMC-GPIB with NOR-488 DDK very slow when sending the commands-GPIB
Hello
I use a PMC-GPIB Board and the NOR-488DDK allows to develop a GPIB Interface with VxWorks. Already, it works correctly, but sending a GPIB command takes about 100 ms, which is very slow.
Are there opportunities to speed up data transfer?
Hello again,
I found a solution to my problem! I realized that the command execution is related to the vxWorks system clock! Of course, this is done in the DDK (driver development kit).
The system clock is easily adjustable upper and then orders are shipped quickly.
Thanks for your time
Good day

Firefox is very slow when you use RDP
Firefox is fast when you use Windows directly. But when you use RDP it is very slow. For example, empty new tab takes about 6 seconds to open. The RDP connection is fast and another response programs immediately (for example the same page navigation in IE is fast).
What is the problem with Firefox?Could it be the graphics hardware acceleration?
You will need to probably restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.). On the remote system:
Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced
In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.
Then restart Firefox. Does make a difference?

Re: Camileo S10 - very slow when the SD card is in.
My Camileo S10 was working fine for months with my 8 GB ScanDisk Ultra II memory card.
Now, when I start the camera, it is very slow to start and operate (a few second delay for each operations). When I remove the card SD and trun on the camera, it works fine.
Is this a known issue?
An idea for me?Thank you.
Hello
For me, it looks like a problem with the SD card inserted.
I think you should try to format the card CD and it should check again.
If this will not help and you won't see a performance improvement you should replace the SD card and should try another.Welcome them

15 - ac151dx: wifi very slow when unplugged from charger
Hello
I have a new laptop of HP 15-ac151dx. Right out of the box, I noticed that the company becomes exteremly slow when I unplug the charger. As soon as I plug in the charger, the speed is very good. It works fine on a wired connection with the charger plugged in or unplugged.
So far, I tried the following, and nothing worked:
1. turn off the laptop, to reset the router, turn on laptop
2. remove the checkmark beside: ALLOW the COMPUTER TO TURN THIS DEVICE OFF SAVE tab managemnt Realtek RTL8188EE wifi power adapter. I also didi this on Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller.
3. went in the settings of advanced and equal "battery power" parameter settings "plugged in."
4. Rinse the DNS
5 reset the TCP/IP stack
6 driver adapter wifi update to 2023.18.814.2015 to 2023.27.1230.2015
7. update of Windows Ran
8. check the BIOS for power management setting, but can't find anything
9 exchanged the laptop - always have the same question.
Are there other settings that can I can check? Looks like a setting simple power management, I'm missing somewhere.
Thank you very much. In fact, it's a driver problem. I have done the following:
1 restore BIOS to factory settings
2 uninstall the WLAN driver
3. scan for hardware changes in the action menu in the Manager of devic
4 reboot
5 HP Recovery Manager--> reinstall WLAN drivers
6 reboot
7. HP support--> latest install Web site drivers WLAN

Portege R500 boot very slow when wireless
Hello
There was a post about it in April, but the only proposed solution was to create two distinct hardware profiles.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=117662The laptop is a model of ppr50e-04x048en.
In the following scenarios, it gives the indicated start-up speed:
-Switch physical wireless off, network cable connected - Normal
-Switch physical wireless off, network cable unplugged - Normal
-Physical wireless switch on, cable connected network - Normal
-Physical wireless switch on, network cable unplugged - very very slow
It's so slow that sometimes you don't get bored after 10 minutes of waitingThere must be a better solution than separate hardware profiles?
> There must be a better solution than separate hardware profiles?
Don t think that there is a better solution, it was clearly explained in another view why the laptop does need more to start while the WiFi is enabled.
If the WiFi is on the phone looking for a possibility to start from the WLan or research for some settings that might be received by WLan.On the other hand, you could try updating the BIOS and could check in the WLan card properties-> Advanced tab if there are some settings which could be disabled like Wake up option or similar.

My computer is very slow runinng when I'm checking my Email and sorting out when I delete the emails I don't want it seems to take more than five minutes to remove as it is very slow to load web pages from the Internet
HI Bob,
Unless you use MSE and think the problem is caused by malware (which is possible, but not very likely given the much more likely reasons - however, if this is the case, after return and we will be happy to provide instructions on how to clean your system and check that this has been done correctly and completely) please repost it here for help on this issue: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-performance?page=1&tab=all&tm=1300700638376 where experts in the field are better qualified to help you.

I have a computer laptop packard bell who became very slow when stopping down
I HAVE A LAPTOP FROM PACKARD BELL, WHICH BECAME VERY SLOW CLOSE. I SUSPECT THAT THERE IS A BACKGROUND PROGRAM SHUTDOWN TACTIC, BECAUSE SOMETIMES A BLUE SCREEN APPEARS LITERALLY HALF A SECOND, THEN DISAPPEARING TOO FAST FOR ME TO READ. HOWEVER, IVE JUST MANAGED TO SEE 'FORCE SHUT DOWN' WILL DISPLAY. CAN ANYONE HELP?
PS - IM RUNNING KASPERSKY PURE 2012 AND I LOADED DISKKEEPER (TRIAL VERSION).
EXCEPT THAT IVE BEEN THRU ALL MY STARTUP PROGRAMS AND SEVERELY LIMITED THEM.
Most of the time, you can use the Task Manager to see which programs are hogging resources. Make sure you click on tab the process, and then on the small button at the bottom left that says something like "show processes from all users".
In addition, switch to view... Select the columns entry and select other readings/o and i/o
You can sort the columns by clicking on the title - this way, you can control what is spking during closing. Get the name of the process that is spking and we can start watching them. Also, try the clean boot here procedure to solve problems: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Satellite A300 with XP is very slow
Hello...
I bought a toshiba A300 and I installed XP SP2 her full license, but the performance is very bad...:
-Graphics: all of a sudden, every window is large, a window I've got little push on 'accept' as it is outside the visible area...
-Processor: works at 2.00 Ghz. When Vista I think works in 3, 2 GHz
-Memory: it shows only 2 840 GB but I 4 000 GB of RAM and I don't know what I can do to help the computer to see all the memory it should use.
-the bluetooh: it does not appear.I installed all the drivers on XP, but it is not working properly.
It's a shame because I really need XP for my work (she based in XP), but I will not be pushed to change the Vista operating system, once again and unfortunately.
Thanks for reading though.
;)
Hello!
> Graphics: all of a sudden, every window is large, a window I hardly push on 'accept' as it is outside the visible area...
To be honest I n don't know what you mean.
Perhaps you can post a screenshot> Processor: works at 2.00 Ghz. When Vista I think works in 3, 2 GHz
3.2 GHz under Vista? Never!
The operating system does not affect the speed of the CPU.> Memory: it shows only 2 840 GB but I have 4 000 GB of RAM and I don't know what I can do to help the computer to see all the memory it should use.
Windows XP 32-bit and all the 32 bit OS does not support the 4 GB.
Here you can find more information:

You have installed the latest drivers from the portal of Bluetooth?

Today when I log in to Facebook through Firefox, it opens only 2 or 3 posts by the news feed (it happens very often, but not always). As I can remember, I've ever known such a problem in the past, with the exception of the rare and occasional accidents which were solved instantly. I am facing this problem for 5-6 months.
Whenever I face such a problem with Firefox, I log in to Facebook through Google Chrome to check if my internet connection works correctly and have found no such problem with Google Chrome. I also checked to see if this problem is caused by an update hidden applications or anti-virus automatic scan, but found nothing. I also tried "Refresh Firefox - discount to zero and settings modules" and uninstall and reinstall but the problem was not solved. All solutions, please?
Please make sure that there is not a problem with any acceleration addons or material by trying Safe Mode:

BlackBerry Z10 GPS with Blackberry Maps, very slow work
Hello. I use Blackberry Maps often, but have noticed that the GPS on my phone started to work very slowly.
When I turn it on it takes a few minutes to find my position. And when I enter a destination for navigation, he made several attempts to trace road and especially returns with the message: "cannot find your GPS position. Move to a location with a clear view of the sky view, and then try again (1013). Even when I'm standing outside, under a clear sky and open, I always get this message...
Does someone can give some indication of what can be the problem and possible solutions.
Including J Sanders... Thanks for your help.
