  Thanks for trying to help, but I decided to do a factory reset and return to windows 7. 8 is just a joke and the loss of my money. I understand that nothing is isperfect, but I expect a simple basic things like this work. its purchases as a car and wont be able to drive, but just sit in it.

  This is a "feature". In Sys Prefs, you can choose between the store and known to the developers. You can always choose to open a pkg app or an unknown dev by ctrl-click Installer, and then by selecting open from the menu. You will get a dialog with an option to open the application.
