WLC cli command "sho memory summary" displays free memory in 2%

It is a licensed for 500 APs 5508 controller and currently 407 APs.

MISTLETOE, (monitor-> summary) shows 69 percent of memory in use.

Should I bother with the release of the memory to see the CLI summary?

Time Stamp....................................... Fri Jul 29 21:43:31 2016
Hold on. The dates DO NOT MATCH with the time of operation of the controller. The time stamp that shows the above there are two falls during July 29, 2016.
System Up Time................................... 53 days 3 hrs 42 mins 45 secs
The difference between July 29, 2016 until October 5, 2016 (hour US) is only 68 days. So, this means that about 15 days after that July 29, 2016 he could potentially have been a 'silent crash' with the controller. Cisco has recently published 8.2.130.0 a few days ago.

  • CLI command to set the power of 1231

    Anyone know the CLI command to fine-tune the power on a 1231 AP?

    Hi Timothy,.

    Maybe it's what you're looking for;

    local power

    Use the command from the interface of local configuration to configure the access point or bridge of power level of radio. No form of the command to restore the default setting. On the 2.4 GHz radio 802.11 g, you can define orthogonal frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) power levels and levels of power complementary Code Keying (CCK). CCK modulation is supported by the devices 802. 11B and 802.11 g. OFDM Modulation is supported by the 802.11 g and 802. peripheral 11A.

    Radio 2.4 GHz Access Point (802. 11 (b)

    [No] local power {1 | 5 | 20: 30 | 50 | 100 | maximum} 3

    Radio 2.4 GHz Access Point (802.11 g)

    Note the maximum emission power depends on your regulatory domain and the antenna gain for your access point or bridge. For more information see the "Channels and antenna settings" section of the installation guide hardware for your access point or bridge.

  • Cisco ACS 3.1 and Logging of Nortel Passport CLI commands

    Good afternoon

    We try to log commands CLI Cisco ACS version 3.1 of Nortel Passport 8600. The version of the code that runs on the Passport does not support Ganymede +.

    Passports authenticate OK but don't sign any order information. I "think" the problem is maybe that the VSA Radius of Nortel for cli-commands-attribute, 195, is not collected by ACS.

    Does anyone know how I would go to get this added to the existing list of Radius (Nortel) VSA?

    Thank you very much

    Kind regards

    Flett.

    Foisy,

    You must add the attribute Nortel 193-195 to activate the posting of the order.

    Unfortunately you can't download on code 3.x, you will need to upgrade acs to the 4.x code.

    Kind regards

    I try to reset an ap on its values. I can't enter in the cli, but the "Clear wr" command is not available. How to clear the config on this access point?

    Also, I have configured initially access point to connect to wlc 4400, which worked great, but when you try to reconfigure the IP address of the CLI is not an option, because the command is disabled.

    How to display the running-config on the ap?

    This access point can be used as a standalone ap?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Carlos,

    Once that the AP has been converted to LWAPP (to work with the WLC) the ability to use the CLI interface is mainly lost. Here is the method to return to autonomous (so it can be used as stand alone);

    Returning to standalone Access Point

    It is possible to return to a point of access compatible LWAPP Cisco Aironet return to autonomous mode. Please refer to Cisco Aironet Lightweight mode standalone update Access Points to get detailed instructions on the returning to stand-alone mode. Use this URL

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/HW/wireless/ps430/prod_technical_reference09186a00804fc3dc.html#wp161272

    Convert a standalone Lightweight Access Point

    You can convert an access point of the mode light return to autonomous mode by loading a Cisco IOS version that supports stand-alone mode (Cisco IOS release 12.3 (7) JA or earlier version). If the access point is associated with a controller, you can use the controller to load the version of Cisco IOS. If the access point is not associated with a controller, you can load the version of Cisco IOS using TFTP.

    By using a TFTP server to revert to a previous version

    Follow these steps to return mode LWAPP stand-alone mode by loading a version of Cisco IOS using a TFTP server:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 1 the IP address of the computer on which the server software runs TFTP should range from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.

    Step 2 make sure the PC contains the file access point (for example, c1200-k9w7 - tar.122 - 15.JA.tar for a 1200 Series access point) in the TFTP server folder and the TFTP server is activated.

    Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the folder of the TFTP server c1200-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1200 point, c1130-k9w7 - tar.default of access for a series of 1130 access point and c1240-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1240 access point.

    Step 4 connect the PC to the access point using an Ethernet category 5 cable (CAT5).

    Step 5 disconnect the power to the access point.

    Step 6 push the MODE button and hold the button while you reconnect power to the access point.

    Step 7 hold the MODE button until the status of the LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds), then release.

    Step 8 wait until restarting access point, as indicated by the LEDs become green followed the status LED flashes green.

    Step 9 after the access point reboots, reconfigure using the GUI or the CLI.

  • CLI command (or script) to determine if a resource pool has enough resources to a virtual machine

    Is there if a VMS resource pool has enough resources available to start the virtual machine WITHOUT triggering an error of vSphere PowerCLI script - or a series of commands - which can be used to determine?

    For reasons of performance test, we use a pool of resources with maximum rates for RAM and CPU.  Each virtual machine in the pool has a reservation for CPU and RAM.  Test automation will try to start VMs as much as possible in the pool during the test.  The CLI will return an error when you start the virtual machine may exceed the amount of allowed resources.  When this happens, an error on the console vSphere "insufficient resources".  Instead of constantly from the virtual machine, fault and generates error - is there a way to check to see if there is enough space?

    Thank you

    Jason

    Hi Jason,

    You can try if the following PowerCLI function is what you need. The function does not resemble stretch bookings.

    function Get-VmStartPossible {
      param($VM)

      $VM = Get-VM $VM
      $ResourcePool = $VM | Get-ResourcePool

      $CpuReservationUsed = $ResourcePool.ExtensionData.Runtime.Cpu.ReservationUsed
      $VMCpuReservation = $VM.ExtensionData.ResourceConfig.CpuAllocation.Reservation
      $ResourcePoolCpuLimit = $ResourcePool.ExtensionData.Config.CpuAllocation.Limit

      $MemoryReservationUsed = $ResourcePool.ExtensionData.Runtime.Memory.ReservationUsed
      $VMMemoryReservation = $VM.ExtensionData.ResourceConfig.MemoryAllocation.Reservation
      $ResourcePoolMemoryLimit = $ResourcePool.ExtensionData.Config.MemoryAllocation.Limit*1MB

      if (($CpuReservationUsed + $VMCpuReservation -gt $ResourcePoolCpuLimit) -or ($MemoryReservationUsed + $VMMemoryReservation -gt $ResourcePoolMemoryLimit))
      {
        $false
      }
      else
      {
        $true
      }
    }

    You can call the function with:

    Get-VmStartPossible -VM MyVM

  • Command & Conquer is not displayed correctly.

    Original title:

    RED ALERT 2

    I scoured the internet for a solution to this problem, but finally I found no, so I now look forward to Microsoft technical support.

    I have the game Command and Conquer the first decade of the value. I am well aware that EA has launched this pack at the Golden time of XP, so technically it is not supported by Windows 7 or 8, but I won't give up as I've had them before work. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 7010 processor i5 with Windows 7 X 64.

    To start, I went the installation process. By running the installer as administrator for Windows XP SP3, they installed without problem from the disk. The old C & C (up to RA - 1) games work fine. Generals had a problem at the launch of her, but I found a patch that fixed. Red Alert 2 is loads different well that-it up and works very well, but it is missing parts of the menu-it does not display some component video for me. I would like to provide a screenshot, but all my screen capture software is able to 'see' videos somehow I can't and displays and buttons, as they should. Now, I know the layout of the menu, so I can't get into the game itself, and it plays very well most of the time - with only a few missing elements, which appears once again to my screen capture software, but not on my screen. This is a common bug for this game and seems to affect only the newer computers, 7 and 8. My brother has this game on his old HP laptop running Windows 7 X 32, and he managed to solve this problem by changing a few settings .ini. I tried it myself without success, and after tinkering with the compatibility some more, did not find the answer to this problem. It is clear that the game works well on Windows 7, but it does not display properly.

    That said, I welcome any assistance from the community of Microsoft! Thank you in advance!

    Wow, that was fast.

    Well, then everything through a wire dead on Tom material, I found a link to a YouTube video. It is long and a bit hard to follow, so I'll save you all the trouble. The problem with the buttons is on the screen and for some reason weird needs of Windows 7 (and 8, hopefully will find soon) this second weird monitor added to make it work.

    Go to 'Screen Resolution' and click on "detect" - then appears open, put in place a new monitor in the #2 (or whatever the accommodation is planned) using all the default graphics card is for your machine. Mine is a laptop, so I had a choice - I doubt it would make much of a difference, what graphics card you choose, but this guy would recommend grabbing one "default". Once you have done this, say the new view to go via the VGA input anyway, then save it. Once it is ready, select the 'new' view and select "Display Extend" under settings. The screen will panic for a second, and then ask you to save the changes-do that and you're golden.

    The thing about this difficulty that upset me, is that it is easy and totally weird. I have no idea why it suits it. I have no idea why he did what he did. It works well - for red alert 2 Yuri revenge both. I hope this will help someone and another not go review the problem I experienced just!

    For those of you looking for a check step by step, this video out of the guys. Be forewarned, it is long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hojMNk93PoU

    Configure in personal Mode

    The term made personal mode refers to products that are tested to be interoperable in mode PSK only of operation for authentication. This mode requires manual configuration of a PSK on the AP and clients. PSK authenticates users via a password or code identification, both the client station and the AP. No server authentication is required. A client can access the network only if the client password matches the AP password. The password also provides the numbers that TKIP or AES uses to generate an encryption key for encrypting data packets.       Personal mode is intended for SOHO environments and is not considered safe for enterprise environments. This section contains the configuration that you need to implement WPA 2 in personal mode.

  • Command delay AppleScript in display-asleep

    Hello

    I would look for a way to run a script at midnight - NOT on a calendar. For example, I want to do the following:

    delay 10000 -- assuming 10000 seconds to midnight

    activate the application "Notes".

    tell application "System Events" to keystroke "Test"

    The problem is that when my display sleep (the computer is not sleep), the delay control is stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Are you really sure you want to exit a script running & hope that it will work?

    Personally I would forget about the timer, set the script to be triggered by a calendar event instead.

    1. Save the script as an Application in the Applescript Editor.
    2. Add an event to the time you want in the calendars, set an alert, with "Open File at the time", choose custom: & add your script.

    I think that the calendar will be reliable Mac hoping moe keeps the running script, it can wake the Mac - I test only.

    Calendars also makes it very easy to reschedule.

  • Confirmation of these CLI commands...

    Given that I have no development environment, and I only have switches production, is - anyone can confirm the function of these commands?

    I have VLAN 10, 20, and 30 defined operation:

    config said-> "vlan 10,20,30.

    I want to * add * 40 and 50.   Is a supercargo command another, or is it a true ADD?

    If I run it, "vlan 40,50" will be the config now say, 'vlan 10,20,30,40,50"or will my order supercargo what existed, where now the config looks like,"vlan 40,50? (where the existing VLANs will disappear)?

    **************************************************

    Second: Same question with the addition of VLAN to a port channel.

    My current config has VLAN 10, 20 and 30 on a port channel:

    config-> vlan allowed switchport General add 10,20,30

    If I add 40 to 50, it is a true ADD, or made an order existing supercargo?   When I run it, 'switchport general allowed vlan add 40,50' resulting?

    config->

    "vlan allowed switchport General add 10,20,30,40,50" (an ADD-ON)

    or

    "vlan allowed switchport General add 40,50" (a supercargo)

    If the config would say then that you question, "vlan 40,50", "vlan 10,20,30,40,50".» The commands add the VLAN to the config. They do not replace the VLAN already configured.

    When you issue, 'switchport general allowed vlan add 40,50' ' switchport general allowed vlan add 10,20,30,40,50"sera the result."
