Wmiprvse.exe error

How can I fix this error please?

Anitvirus?  I guess you can check for this and it will be or hurt, but not with MSE.  This is the lamest of the weak.

Microsoft safety scanner - you mean the one which is obsolete as soon as download you it?

It is said:

The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

So I need to download every 10 days?  New threats to Windows sets sometimes several times a day according to the more in-depth analysis tools in and out.  I can't wait 10 days so he could maybe catch up.  These definitions come from 2011.  I think that it's 2012.

It would not help to know something about the distressed first system?  How about you what version and Service Pack?

It is a mistake to Windows Management Instrumentation.

If please provide instructions to completely rebuild the Windows Management Instrumentation database and verify that it is functional.

Then describe how he probably broke in the first place.

  • Fix a SFC reported an error with WmiPrvSE.exe

    At first, I lived an extremely slow response with Vista Ultimate. Sometimes the locks system for a few minutes. THS drive activity light was lit.

    After watching the activity in the PERFORMANCE Monitor, I disabled the Indexing Service and the SuperFetch service. The system works a lot better now.  I would like to reuse these services, but that's a topic for another question.

    I ran SFC/scannow, and he noted several uncorrrectable errors affect all program WmiPrvSE. Here's just one of the errors.

    So I started to add programs gradually, trying to find what it was caused the problem. I eventuly went back to having all programs again activated. And yet, the problem was gone.

  • WmiPrvSE.exe running using 25% of the CPU.

    Just yesterday, I noticed that my CPU was running several processes to idle: WmiPrvSE.exe, svchost.exe and mcods.exe.  Mcods is a process of Mcafee, I'm guessing that Wmiprvse is the process that is currently running and trying to solve something?  I tried to restore to a previous point, but received an error message about the restoration process is not be able to find a file of the registry and not being able to restore to an earlier point.  I ran a scan of full virus/malware with McAfee as suggested in other responses of WmiPrvSE and no problems were detected. I'd appreciate any help troubleshooting this.

  • Why is wmiprvse.exe begins with Firefox 32.0.1 under XP SP3?

    Whenever I run Firefox, I see wmiprvse.exe load as a running process. I see this using Process Explorer from Sysinternals. This happened since I updated to the current version of Firefox (32.0.1). It also occurs whenever I start the latest version of Thunderbird (31.1.1). I have two questions:

    1. is this a normal behavior?
    2. If so, why is it necessary?

    And just to clarify things, I researched for HOURS using 'my friend' Google. I also tried to get the answers to these questions in the various forums without success. My copy of wmiprvse.exe is NOT infected (I ran across Virustotal) and is located only where it is supposed to be on my hard drive.

    Please help me by joining answers to the two questions I and do not forget that I am talking only about XP SP3.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

    The error occurs because there is a problem with this application.

    I did some research and I am unable to find such a program with this name that is popular and reputable.

    Having said that, I also found some virus/malware that uses this name.

    Search your computer for threats/viruses using these free tools:

    -> ESET Online Scanner

    http://support.eset.com/kb2921/?locale=EN_US & viewlocale = en_US

    http://www.eset.com/int/home/products/online-scanner/

    -> AdwCleaner

    If these tools find a malware with this name and extension, remove and others, also.
