WMP 11 & ALBUM ART

Hi all.

WMP 11 on my XP PRO SP3 prevented to auto. Download album (mp3/cda) arts. All music files & legal CD audio were tested on an other PC vista with wmp 11 and auto. Download of album art works very well (so this means album art are present on the database online).

I have no problem downloading manually from the album art. I checked all the definitions again player ' not again, all are very good. I UN / reinstalled WMP, went back to version 9, rebuild library WMP, done sfc/scan, I don't use system restore and I do not remember any new update/software lately, I installed, no this virus/malware - but still not good...

I read this article as wellhttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/howto/mp11/albumart.aspx

especially the part-"Why Album Art is sometimes missing"

and found an intresting line in it-"... administrator has prevented your computer to download items such as album art."

Now I am the admin on my PC and my questions are:

1 how\where exactly I check if administrator (me) prevented computer to download items such as album art? (maybe I did it by mistake?)

2-is there another way to solve the problem (except repair installation for windows which I want to avoid)

Thank you

FINALLY... Here is the solution works very well for me:

-close wmp
-go to internet explorer6 > tools > options > advanced > http1.1 settings > uncheck 2 boxes below.
Press ok.
-now insert your CD/media and that's it!

  • Windows Media Player 11 album art is missing

Hi, this is a mystery, but suddenly and without reason obvious, almost half of my albums do not show all arts album no matter what view, I use. However, when I browse through the files in Windows Explorer, I see that images (Folder.jpg, AlbumArtSmall.jpg and so on) are still there. And even if I stick a new image in the album inside WMP no album art appears.

    Thanks for any help!

I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

  • Album art with WMP 12

Hi - I'm new and really confused!

Is it possible for someone to explain VERY SIMPLY how to get album art of WMP12 in "rocket"? She shows in WMP, but does not appear automatically when you synchronize on. A simple step by step guide would be great!

    Thanks in anticipation...

Thank you - I have no problem with the album art on WMP12, I want just sync it to the "rocket" so that when I drag an album in the sync list, and then on 'Start Sync' art is located on the "rocket". I don't know why, I'm having problems with this? I'm new in the world of MP3 files so step by step instructions would be very welcome.

So, to sum up, it becomes the art on the "rocket" simply when I sync.

Just a theory, but USB mode, you are in? I think that if you see the art on WMP, but it syncs, that maybe MTP mode would bring art. I do not use WMP12 with my Win7, I prefer Mediamonkey... but I think that might help.

Why is my black wmp album art? I have vista... can anyone help?

I suggest that you try to clear the cache of album art. Close Windows Media Player and Media Center and make sure that Windows Explorer is configured to display the hidden files and folders and show protected operating system files. Then, go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\LocalMLS and delete all the files in this folder. Who help me?

  • WMP-there no. Album Art Box

I tried everything to change the big "?" for some of my albums in the library > Albums. Go to Album Art box tutorials... HE DIDN'T THERE WAS NONE! Menu options shows nothing related

Hi Dan - seems to have been a change of ID!... No you are not quite get it-the so-called 'box' is the square containing the art (or a note of music in his absence)... click on your image (which must be a JPEG around 500 square pixels) right click and select 'Copy', then click on the album art square and you will have the paste option like in this picture... • List album art lost coin

Reloading XP auto updates installed WMP 9 (I guess I was on v8) who has lost all my art of the album from the playlist and half of my music. I can't find a way to get it back either. Any ideas?

    Hi eddie b
    Thanks for the reply
Turns out I'm a "retarded" even more than I thought. I should get it that reinstalling XP would move me back to an earlier version of the player than the automatic updates had taken me at the time I had run it.
Finally after several days of re-update itself MP itself shifted in version 11 and to the high jump my album art... I never had the chance to try your solution but thanks anyway. Probably this would have worked if I had a chance to try it but...
"Neanderthal computerman" return his images still.

    Thank you once again eddie

  • Cannot view album art in the media player 11

I downloaded an MP3 on the internet and I have the song click right and select Find Album Info. After that I found an album containing the art of the song and the album, I clicked next and finish, but the album art doesn't show in media player. I'm using WMP 11.

Just to let you know, the song is Hungry Eyes Dirty Dancing album.

    Thank you!

    Hello Roberto,

  • I need assistance, recovery of the album art for the songs on my I - pod.

Hello. Recently, I upgraded my I - pod to a gig of 64 of a 8-concert and I had the same problem with both. On the songs that I have purchased from I-tunes, the album art shows always upward. However, when I put a CD in my drive and import songs in my music library, sometimes I'm able to get album artwork and sometimes I'm not. I thought it was just a problem with Apple and I talked with two people separate tech from Apple who had me try a few things and the second person I spoke with told me that Windows XP is not fully compatible with I-tunes. A tech told me to create a new folder in My Documents and try to import album like this artwork. She imported the images of the album covers that I chose, but he kept in the Photos section of my I - pod and not in my library of music I would like. Y at - it a patch that I can download or a setting I need to change to allow me to still get the album artwork for my I - pod?

If you have the cover of the Album as a .bmp or .jpg file, you could 1. Right click on that, click on copy. 2, in the WMP library, on the Album corresponding icon, right click, click on paste album art. WMP then generates (reduced) as folder.jpg and AlbumartSmall versions. jpg in the folder containing the tracks.

Thanks for your reply. I use my computer to listen to music, just my I - pod, so I don't have my music library stored in Windows Media Player. I have a few songs I've saved on here well before I had my I - pod and I played a few songs on WMP, but it did not show the album art, just a blue screen with a 8th note symbol. Now, this particular album I played songs of was never officially released (the Group has lost a lot of people to their label at the time) so I could download the album on their site and I even the album cover together as my wallpaper on my computer, but still the album artwok does not appear when I play music on WMP. You have solutions that we can try?

  • Lost my Album Art

I was organizing my music when the Album Art missing from certain screens. If I click on the artist, Album or Genre of the Art is there, but if I'm in the artist section or an individual album Art has disappeared, and the options to find Album Info and pockets of dough. The art is still there (I stored it in the folder of each album) but the box in the upper left corner is gone. It happened all of a sudden, so I guess I did something to change. Could not find a way to get it back but.

    Steve

What version of WMP are you using?

You can generally get album art visible again by clicking on the small arrow to the left of the search box and selecting extended tile .

  • Folders and album art

I have 2 problems I've come to find answers to, but never understood:

    Organization of the file:

    1. after checking that all the tags are correct on every song I organize my music into folders according to the artist, on my computer and then drag and drop the folders on my rocket.  When I unplug the "rocket" and go to browse the files on the device, half of my artists are now located in what is called a "new folder" and the original artist folders do not exist.  When I browse the device on my computer, it seems that all records are correct.  My question is: why the "rocket" reorganize my music in new cases and how can I better organize them in the future?

    Art of the album:

    2. I've tried several times to put album art into each folder and name the folder.jpg work, but it seems to never work.  I also edited the tag image in WMP, but that does not work either.  Some songs have the album on the "rocket" art, but I never put it in the folder with the songs so I'm a bit confused why show album artwork, but others who are not.  Can someone tell me how / if they got the album art to work?

Thanks a lot for any advice you may have!

You are in MSC mode?  (settings/system settings/usb mode)

If not, I would like to do 2 things - if you have tracks on your PC (I hope you do):

    1. format the drive using the option on the device (later to go back and make sure that you are in MSC mode, as this can by default return)

    2. after verification of your files are right and that each folder that contains music files has a folder.jpg (and I mean here the folder with the music-not no matter what parent of records.  If your files are artist\album with the music in the folder album make you think the folder.jpg in the album folder) drag and drop everything on the player.

If you are in MSC mode, I'm not sure that your file number, but I found the cover of the album difficult to change until I did a format and reload (with correct art).  So, it might be useful to do the above anyway.

  • How can I update the album art on rocket?

I spent some time recently downloading album art, and now that I have it, I have no idea how to get it on the "rocket".  I use MediaMonkey to set tags and get art just the way I like it. But when I open Itunes and go to the album art display, its like the fixes I've done in the monkey never happened.  I also tried using the Zune software to get some art, and it displays almost every pocket, just like the monkey.  But in windows media player, each tag in music is the same as before is not what I want. I look at the tags and they are going to be the 'old', while mediamonkey and Zune software display fixed/correct information.  So I ask myself, how can I change the tags/art in wmp for use in my rocket? Thank you

Mp3Tag is the way to go!  For the missing albums art required, you can use the function "export art as a jpg.  I used it in two modes, using the embedded image to export and a simple Google > Art > drag and drop in MP3Tag method.

You can name the art 'album art.jpg' or 'folder.jpg' - either the name works very well with the "rocket".

  • Album Art on th Fuze

Recently, I had WMP11 and added all my album art and all of my fixed tags. Then, I deleted all my music on my device (removed the MUSIC folder) and it synced via WMP11. It all converted to the format of *.wma, *.mp3 even files. NO album appears to all but the album art that was already out there. How can I get my album art there? It's all in WMP11. Help, please!

Set up the device in MTP (or Auto) mode for WMP sync unit art.

Media Monkey can handle this in MSC mode, you need a copy of one art as 'album art.jpg' or "folder.jpg" in each folder albums if you are using MSC mode.

  • In Windows Media Player 11, I would like to change the album art integrated for all the songs in an album while removing all previously used album art.

In Windows Media Player 11, I would like to change the album art integrated for all the songs in an album while removing all previously used album art in advanced tag editor. My mP3 player only displays art on top of the list of advanced tag editor and WMP automatically puts most recent album on the background art. Is there a way to change this?

    Hello

    Try the following steps:

    a. connect to the Internet.

    b. open Windows Media Player.

    c. click on the Library tab, and then go to the album you want to resolve.

    d. right click on the album and then click on Find Album Info.

    e. If you get an error message that says you must change your privacy settings before you can update media information, follow these steps: click on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Privacy tab, and then clear music update files by retrieving the news media from the Internet check box. Then, in the library, repeat the previous step.

  • The lost Album art

I wanted to create space on my main hard drive by moving all my music files on a secondary hard drive.  I did it manually (cut on one single hard drive and pasted to another), hoping that WMP would be able to track where the music went.  After you move the files, WMP not found music, which seemed an easy problem to solve.  HOWEVER, when I opened the files on the new site, all of the album art was gone.  I brought all the files to their original location, hoping that WMP would be happy if everything was back to its original location.  This solves the problem of WMP, being able to find the music files, but the album art is still missing.  Not only that, but I can't find a way to put it back - if I tape "update of the news of the album," nothing is happening; If I type "find album info" it shows the art in the pop up window, but when I hit 'Finish', art is not yet there. and even when I try to paste the album art, nothing happens.

Can someone help me get my album art?  I can't stand all these empty images of CD case to look at.

Well, I answered a question but wound up with the other.  I solved my problem with the album art - Fortunately, I had saved my main hard drive yesterday, so I just deleted all the music of two hard drives and then restored the backup files.  That worked - all album art is back.

(I tried to come back to this forum to delete my question or indicate that I had resolved, but it wouldn't let me connect.  When I tried to connect, the only option that was provided was to create a new account (when I clicked on "sign in", he says in one place that I have already connected and the only option that I could find was to create a new profile).  Where my answer profile being slightly different name from the profile used with the original question.)
