• Number of the results in the report variable

  Hello everyone,

  I need help in TestStand reports. I use TestStand 2014 and 2014 of Labview, both 32 bits.

  The situation is like this: I am running a test with test steps 3. The first stage of the test is a step of "additional results" which records the device under test info (versions of the hardware software etc...). This information appear in the report and the result data in the database (table prop_result). The next 2 steps are the steps 'real' which measures something.

  In the report, there is a call from the variable "Number of results" (see the screen attached capture) and you see a '3 '. There are actually only 2 steps of 'real' test as I don't want to consider the first step of "additional results" as a test step. How can we affect the variable 'Number of results' so that it does not count this first step? I tried to use the properties-> Run Options-> record result of the for Option set to "Disable". It works and the number of results appeared as "2", but the device under test info do not appear in the report and not in the prop_result of the database table.

  In general, how can I get the number of results of account not a step, but continues to display the result in the database and report? Is there an API where I can access and modify its value (number of results value) such as: "Number of results" - 1?

  Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have attached the release of the report, as well as the file in the sequence.

  I ment, you can change the XML seq.--> \Components\Models\TestStandModels\reportgen_xml.seq generator (Ref http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3977/en/).

  It's the AddReportHeader, you need to change. Or more specific step 9 (in teststand 2012) which is a statement-->

  and then, you can modify the varabel StepCount using some filtering by using for example a subsequnce that counts only the type of measures that your customer wants to be counted.

  There might be ways esier there, but that's what I'd do.

• Can not read the results of the report

  Honestly I really don't know what needs to be configured in the report nodes.
  For HTTP, I have only configured the URL, the login ID and password and confirm the password.
  Then I tried to use XCOPY where I configured the URL, the base directory (C:/psreports), ID, password and confirm the password.
  
  I think that the home directory of C:\psreports could be the problem but I don't know what value to put in more of my real psreports file which is created on the C drive. Then I left the empty network path since I do not know what to put.

  This is one of those situations where if I could understand the appropriate search terms to use, someone else must have asked this question in the past.
  
  I have a report with a SQL query with a condition based on a list of selection on the same page. So I have a list of selection -: P177_FISCAL_YEAR
  
  My request for my report is:
  
  Select md_id, display_name, description
  of media_tbl
  where fiscal_year =: P177_FISCAL_YEAR
  
  When a person makes a selection on the selection list (: P177_FISCAL_YEAR), I would like to report up-to-date without having to submit the page. I was hoping that I could do something like this using a dynamic action but have not found a way to do it.

  I have installed on Linux ODI.
  I start to extract the data of Essbase to Oracle with Hyperion Essbase Data SQL with ReportScript LKM. But after 4 minutes process is stopped with the error:
  com.hyperion.odi.essbase.ODIEssbaseException: cannot run the report. Error (1042017) analytical server: network error: the client or the server timed out while waiting to receive data by using TCP/IP. Check the network connections. Increase the values NetRetryCount or NetDelay in the ESSBASE. CFG file. Update this file on the client and the server. Restart the client, and then try again.
  
  But if I extract some lines process worked well.

  I use Teststand 2012 and that you have installed the plugin from model simple text report.

  My main test sequence called a number of subsequences that contain the test steps and contain also several subsequences. A number of the subsequences is only stocks. My test result file contains all the results of measures of test as expected, but it also contains a line of output for each call of sequences - makes it difficult to see the results that count. I would only record the test steps.

  Looking at the code SimpleTextReport.dll in CVI I see it is stepping into the results and updated list in the form of each line (I changed some of the formatting). Is this the right place to filter the levels of appeal of sequence or can I stop the call sequence steps to be added to the list of results?

  You can view a customized report (column model) model - they give you 4 places for the conditions. Here is an example:

  #1 # being the first column in your results. This isn't bad if you only need 4 conditions and know the placement of your fields - you just configured different look and feels in your CSS and change the class according to the criteria.

  I am trying to automate the discoverer, calendar using the Scout command line interface, the following command runs the report * "Facilities assigned to the employees-ORG" * in the batch, export the results to Microsoft excellent sheet.
  
  This command exports successfully results in excel format in the location specified in C:\drive, but did not export the graph associated with the report.
  
  also if we compare the exported results for the report ran in more Discoverer and discoverer Office (using the command line) is not in the same format in excel (excel export result is very good compared to the results of the command line).

  It is not possible to export charts in an Excel file. If you want to keep the formatting and then try to export the HTML report in .xls file, then open the file in Excel. by example/Export html "C:\CPEReports\ equipment assigned to employees - ORG.xls.

  I'm pretty new to teststand so please forgive me if this is an easy question.

  BACKGROUND

  I'm running a sequence (TestGroup) that contains several sequences (tests) that work as a new execution.  It allows me to produce an individual report for each test (the top-level sequence produces a summary report only).

  QUESTION

  I want each of the reports to be stored in a single folder. I have setup report options to calculate the path of the report by using the following expression "\\Reports\\\\SummaryReport [] []".".

  This works very well for the top level, but that this also applies to the subsequences path is recalculated and is different from that of the upper level.

  CURRENT SOLUTION

  I'm currently moving the report path as a parameter to test sequences, but I find the value of the macro (from the sequence of high level) to build the report path.  Can someone tell me how to get this?

  Another solution is for me to take the path of the current report and the name of the file of this band.  It's a better solution?

  Hi Jack,

  I use a whole test sequence (seq) group and a running each of my tests as a new execution.  This means that I can apply a different template to each test (which is needed to support the old style of the previous tests developed by my client) and produce a report of individual test for each test.  Then I clear the list of results when the report was drafted and replace it with a link to the report for the test (I hope that this reduces the risk of running out of memory on long series of tests).

  Each of my 'tests' is indeed a full sequence.

  I was hoping to use something similar to macros to move the report path to each of my tests (or model for the test), but have not been able to find these values anywhere in the report options window.  Ultimately I have to now take the string generated for high level sequence 'group' and make a formatted string and then pass it as a parameter testing (an another headache that had some problems).

  I'm not really a fan of this and think it should be possibel to configure the report options different for each model, that I had to do it manually by hardcoding stuff like path .xsl etc names.

  can someone tellme if it seems like the right approach?

  I created a 4.1.1.00.23 APEX application with a few pages containing an interactive report. Reports worked fine, but the user wants that the report has changed to a classic report with the search parameters in another region to control the display of the results of the report. I created the new report but now export the CSV file and e-mail features from the Actions button on the interactive report are unavailable. The function print and export on the toolbar of browser don't allow print/export the current page rather the set of data that can go several pages, more formatting is far. Is there a page element available, can I add to the page to allow the user to export to Excel, CSV, or send the report?

  In the Expression of filtering the results, I can choose between four preset selections (all results, exclude,..).

  But if I want to put together a custom then the first word 'Result' expression is highlighted in red

  And the error message in the ToolTip indicates: property name or an unknown variable.

  It's ok that it shows red like that because it will assess correctly during runtime.

• Condition of additional results work does not correctly for the parameters

  TestStand 2014

  Trying to connect a parameter only if the status of the step is "failure" will not save the setting when the step will actually fail.  On the other hand, variables with the same State will record very well.

  The sequence attached illustrates this.  Basically I have a sous-suite that returns a random number and a string as parameters.  I use the random number to evaluate against my limits for the test call.  I want to save the parameter of string only if the step fails.  So I put as an additional result, then assign the condition

  Step.Result.Status == "failed".

  The data never show on the report.

  But when I put a result additional explicit with the same local variable and put the same exact condition it appears on the report when the step fails.

  I'm puzzled as to why settings will not open a session to this condition, but additional explicit results work fine with the same State.

  Any thoughts?

  Condition for additional result of the parameter is evaluated before the State sequence is set to failure. The 'out' parameter additional results are evaluated probably just after the code module, so if the status of the step is not changed by the call of code module, then it will always be "Running".

  I can see how it would be nice if it worked the way you ask, but keep in mind for input/output parameters it is usually the same expression/variable to both the 'in' and 'out' additional result, so it is important to the time at which the result is recorded. It must be done before calling code module for 'in' settings and after the call of code module to 'out' parameters to reflect the State of the variables to these points in time. I think that the intention is that the additional result for settings must reflect the State of the variables at the point in time immediately right before the call for 'in' settings and immediately after the call to 'out' parameters So if you want to connect under certain conditions a value based on the status (where the State is not changed directly by the code module), with the help of a result extra ordinary as you discovered is probably the best way to go.

  Maybe for the parameters we might delay logging to the end, but which may result in a change of behavior if the variable state changes again once before that. If you want us to consider or have another idea for how to handle this better please let us know or maybe post something to the exchange of ideas.

  Another possibility is that we could temporarily connect the results before and after the code module, but then not assess the condition to the end and throw the recorded result if the condition is false. Who can still cause a change in behavior although if "Value of Log" expressions have side effects.

  Hope this helps clarify things.

  I have an interactive report that returns results based on the: bind variable QUERY - I have a list of navigation on the side where all the elements to link to the current page with different values of request. The IR works fine until I try to sort the columns by clicking on the heading and selecting increasing / decreasing, how it returns no data available.
  
  It starts to work again if I change the last line of GOLD: REQUEST IS NOT NULL but this breaks the functionality of the report, I would like to return only selected articles or all if no query variable is present. I'm guessing that sort sets: ASK something temporarily and divides. My query is below, any ideas?

  There are problems with interactive reports referencing known: DEMAND value, probably due to an internal logic that manages also simultaneously - potentially cause a malfunction or blockages.

  A workaround that I learned is to create a calculation to assign: APPLICATION to a temporary element (a PXX_REQUEST, for example) and reference it in the query, instead of: ASK. This has worked well for me in my experience.
